Part-Time Contracts. 1. Professional Employees on part-time contracts will be allowed a full year advancement on the salary schedule for each school year taught.
2. Professional Employees’ compensation shall be prorated to the same portion of the day worked.
Part-Time Contracts. 1. Teachers who are employed at the middle school and senior high level on a less than full-time basis will be paid by the following formula: Number of Class Assignments Lesson Preparation Periods Percentage of Annual Salary 1 ½ 20% 2 1 40% 3 1 60% 4 2 80%
2. Teachers with more than one class assignment will be assigned lesson preparation periods according to the above schedule. Resource Center assignments will also be made as appropriate to the school schedule.
3. Teachers who are employed at the elementary level on a less than full-time basis will receive a prorated salary.
4. Teachers on a less than full-time basis are expected to share in the assignments of extra duties and extra-curricular activities.
5. Unless specified in this contract, benefits and leaves for teachers employed less than full-time will be prorated to their percentage of employment. All employees under contract for the 1998-99 school year who are presently working and receiving a full benefit package, will not have their benefit package reduced unless the employee requests a contract which is less than their current contract. If the request for reduced employment is related to a medical situation involving the teacher or the teacher’s immediate family, the teacher may request continuation of benefits at the level that existed at the time of the request. The request must be made in writing, include the reason for the request, and shall be considered annually. The Superintendent shall have the authority to grant this request.
Part-Time Contracts. 2 An employee's prorated pay for less than a full year shall be figured in the following manner: use as the 3 numerator the actual number of days that the employee is employed, and as the denominator the actual number 4 of basic contract days in the entire year. This fraction times the annual salary for said employee's position on 5 the salary schedule shall equal their pay for the part of the year employed. Partial day employment pay shall 6 be similarly prorated.

Part-Time Contracts. (Date last modified: 99-00) Any contract between a teacher and the Board which is less than a full day or for less than contract days shall be considered a part-time contract. Teachers on part-time contracts shall receive compensation and paid leave in direct proportion as their contract relates to the full-time contract.
Part-Time Contracts. The Employer may, where a need exists, elect to offer a part-time contract position. This part-time contract position will be to replace a current part-time employee who is on an extended leave that is in excess of three (3) months. The contract does not offer any guarantee of hours or of set shifts. A part-time contract position can be extended if the leave that created the need for the contract is extended. No contract extension can be for a longer term than that of the original contract, except as agreed by mutual consent between the Union and the Employer. Human Resources will notify the Chairperson of the extension of a contract and who the leave applies to.
Part-Time Contracts. Part-time contracts established between the workers and the companies, will use the working week as a reference. All other matters will be governed by current legislation.
Part-Time Contracts. 10.19.1 Members of the unit, subject to the approval of the District, are permitted to work less than full-time or share a portion on a regular basis with another unit member.
10.19.2 Unit members who desire to take part in either of the above shall make their request known in writing to the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources. The unit member shall submit the request no later than April 1st of the following year. Unit members shall remain on the part time program but may at their request, be considered for return to full-time employment at the completion of the school year if a position is available.
10.19.3 Unit members working in such positions shall receive a prorated amount of salary, health, welfare and leave benefits.
Part-Time Contracts. A certificated employee's prorated pay for less than a full year shall be figured in the following manner: Use as the numerator the actual number of days that the certificated employee is employed, and as the denominator the actual number of basic contract days in the entire year. This fraction times the annual salary for said certificated employee's position on the salary schedule shall equal their pay for the part of the year employed. Part-day employment pay shall be similarly prorated with exception of the TRI pay which shall be paid at full time pay (in accordance with the current PEA/PSD Memorandum of Agreement).
Part-Time Contracts. All part-time contracts, defined as less than five full days per week, are subject to bumping. If this need arises, we will provide you with two weeks’ notice, and also give you the opportunity to increase your contract to hold your child’s spot. No tuition credit will be given if you choose to resign sooner than the two-week notice period.
