Personal or Emergency Leave. Employees may request an unpaid personal or emergency leave of absence of up to thirty (30) days, provided they have at least one (1) year seniority. The Employer shall not unreasonably withhold approval of such leave provided it is compatible with the proper operation of the location. Emergency leave may be requested on an emergency basis, provided that upon the employee’s return to work the Employer may request documentation of the emergency. The Employer further agrees that the employee shall be returned to his/her former shift, work hours and job classification subject to operational needs.

Personal or Emergency Leave. Employees shall be granted a maximum of three (3) days per calendar year, which are not cumulative, for Personal or Emergency Leave. Personal Leave is defined as personal or emergency business which cannot be done before or after school or on a non-school day. Requests for personal or emergency leave shall be made two (2) days in advance by entering the leave in Employee KIOSK.. However, it is recognized that an emergency may arise and the applicable administrator may grant personal or emergency leave without the requested information entered into the KIOSK system beforehand. The employee will be required to enter the absence in the KIOSK system upon return from leave.

  • Personal Emergency Leave 1. A teacher will be granted up to five (5) days of leave per year to cover situations other than personal illness beyond the control of the teacher which would significantly impair teaching service.   • Personal Medical Leave 1. Accrued 100% sick leave may be used at the employee's discretion. Such leave may be taken before or after the vacation described in No. 3 below.

  • Unpaid Personal Leave of Absence 1. Any employee may apply for an unpaid personal leave of absence for good and sufficient reason. Leave pursuant to this provision may be for a period not exceeding twelve (12) months in any fourteen (14) consecutive months. Such leave may be granted at the discretion of the appointing authority and shall not be unreasonably denied. Employees are encouraged to consult with their agency/department Personnel Officer to determine if they are eligible for benefits available under the Federal Family and Medical Leave Act. All requests for such leave and responses shall be in writing. The application for leave must specifically state the reasons for such application and the length of time requested. After completion of a period of personal leave of absence, the employee shall be entitled to return to the organizational unit, status and position held immediately prior to the beginning of the leave of absence. If the employee's position is abolished during any such leave, he/she shall be notified and allowed to exercise his/her rights under the Seniority Article of this Agreement.

  • Emergency Leave Notwithstanding any provision for leave in this Agreement, the Employer may grant leave of absence with or without pay to an employee in emergency or unusual circumstances. Such leave will not be unreasonably denied.

  • Personal Leave of Absence The Administrator may grant a request for leave of absence for personal reasons without pay provided that he receives at least one (1) month's clear notice, in writing, unless impossible, and provided that such leave may be arranged without undue inconvenience to the normal operations of the Nursing Home. Employees when applying for such leave shall indicate the proposed date of departure and return. Such leave shall not be unreasonably withheld.

  • Unused Personal Leave In order to encourage drivers to not use Personal Leave in an effort to minimize the need for substitute drivers and improve the safety, security and welfare of our students, drivers will be reimbursed at their regular rate of pay for any unused Personal Leave. The payment will be included in the driver(’s) first pay in July.
