PERSONAL OR EMERGENCY LEAVE. Employees shall be granted a maximum of three (3) days per calendar year, which are not cumulative, for Personal or Emergency Leave. Personal Leave is defined as personal or emergency business which cannot be done before or after school or on a non-school day. Requests for personal or emergency leave shall be made two (2) days in advance by entering the leave in Employee KIOSK.. However, it is recognized that an emergency may arise and the applicable administrator may grant personal or emergency leave without the requested information entered into the KIOSK system beforehand. The employee will be required to enter the absence in the KIOSK system upon return from leave.

PERSONAL OR EMERGENCY LEAVE. Employees may request an unpaid personal or emergency leave of absence of up to thirty (30) days, provided they have at least one (1) year seniority. The Employer shall not unreasonably withhold approval of such leave provided it is compatible with the proper operation of the location. Emergency leave may be requested on an emergency basis, provided that upon the employee’s return to work the Employer may request documentation of the emergency. The Employer further agrees that the employee shall be returned to his/her former shift, work hours and job classification subject to operational needs.

It is not the intent that these days be used for recreational purposes. Whenever possible, seventy-two (72) hours notice for such leave will be given to the Building Principal. Paid or unpaid leave shall not be used to extend a school break except in emergencies. The unit member may be required to meet with the Superintendent. Approval or denial is at the Superintendent’s discretion. For each Bargaining Unit Member, at the end of each school year, his/her unused personal days will be added to his/her accumulated sick leave.

  • Personal Leaves 8.11.4.1 As approved by the Board, personal leaves without pay may be granted in cases of exceptional need for up to six (6) months. Any such leave exceeding one (1) semester shall not be counted toward tenure or promotion or for computing salary increments. These leaves may be extended by the PVPAA upon recommendation of the xxxx for up to one (1) year.

  • Unpaid Personal Leave Where an employee has exhausted all paid personal leave entitlements, they are entitled to take unpaid personal leave to care for members of their immediate family or household who are sick and require care and support or who require care due to an unexpected emergency. The employer and the employee shall agree on the period. In the absence of agreement, the employee is entitled to take up to two days (up to a maximum of 16 hours) of unpaid leave per occasion, provided the requirements of 7.2.5(a) and 7.2.5(b) are met.

  • Personal Leave Written request for a personal leave of absence without pay will be considered on an individual basis by the Hospital. Such requests are to be submitted to the employee's immediate supervisor at least four (4) weeks in advance, unless not reasonably possible to give such notice, and a written reply will be given within fourteen (14) days except in cases of emergency in which case a reply will be given as soon as possible. Employees needing personal leave days for appointments with medical practitioners may utilize the personal leave language. Such leave shall not be unreasonably withheld.

  • Personal Medical Leave 1. Accrued 100% sick leave may be used at the employee's discretion. Such leave may be taken before or after the vacation described in No. 3 below.

  • Emergency Leave Notwithstanding any provision for leave in this Agreement, the Employer may grant leave of absence with or without pay to an employee in emergency or unusual circumstances. Such leave will not be unreasonably denied.

  • Personal Leave of Absence The Administrator may grant a request for leave of absence for personal reasons without pay provided that he receives at least one (1) month's clear notice, in writing, unless impossible, and provided that such leave may be arranged without undue inconvenience to the normal operations of the Nursing Home. Employees when applying for such leave shall indicate the proposed date of departure and return. Such leave shall not be unreasonably withheld.

  • Paid Personal Leave A.   • Unused Personal Leave Since a number for the available personal leave days has been established, a basic discussion will need to be had regarding unused personal leave days. Naturally, these differ from vacation days since the Employer will not always be required to pay the Employee when personal leave is taken. If a dollar amount will be attached to each personal leave day that is unused so that it can be paid to that Employee then, select the first checkbox presented in the list of options provided and record the dollar amount that shall be paid for one unused personal day.
