PROFESSIONAL CONFERENCE COMMITTEE. 13.1 The purpose of this Committee will be to facilitate communications and cooperation between professional nurses and Management; to establish a forum for open discussion of mutual concerns; to identify problem areas between nurses and other personnel in the department; and to improve understanding of problems and needs of professionals and management. The Committee shall not take the place of the grievance procedure.

PROFESSIONAL CONFERENCE COMMITTEE. A Professional Conference Committee shall be established during the term of the agreement in order to facilitate communication and cooperation between employees and the employer, to provide a forum for open discussion, and to improve the understanding of problems and needs of employees and the employer related to nursing practices and employment conditions. The committee shall typically consist of two employer representatives selected by the employer and two employees selected by the association. Additional resource persons may attend upon advance notice to the other committee members. The committee shall establish its own meeting schedule. The time, place and agenda of meetings shall be determined by the committee members. When committee meetings are scheduled during work hours, employees shall be excused from their regular assignments without loss of pay. Committee recommendations are not binding on the employer and the committee has no authority to amend or modify the collective bargaining agreement.
PROFESSIONAL CONFERENCE COMMITTEE. The purpose of this Committee shall be to facilitate communications and cooperation between professional Nurses and Management to establish a forum for open discussion and mutual concerns; to identify problem areas between nursing service and other departments of Employer; to improve understanding of the problems and needs of professional Nurses and Management. The Committee shall consist of no more than three persons selected by Employer and no more than three Nurses selected by the Association. The Committee shall establish its own meeting schedule, not more often than monthly, for one (1) hour, unless the Committee mutually agrees otherwise. The Committee shall determine its own officers. Meetings of the Committee shall be held on Employer’s property and use Employer’s facilities. All time spent in Professional Conference Committee meetings will be considered as time worked (non-productive time) at the straight time rate of pay. The Committee shall be advisory and consultative in nature and may make recommendations to nursing administration. The objectives of the Professional Conference Committee may include the following: To consider constructively the professional practice of Nurses, and to make objective professional evaluation in order to assist management and Nurses. To work constructively for the improvement of patient care and nursing care. To recommend to Employer ways and means to improve patient care. The Agenda for the Professional Conference Committee shall be submitted one week prior to a scheduled meeting. The Professional Conference Committee will place on its agenda, on a quarterly basis, a specific review of staffing matters and related issues. A recorder will take the minutes of the Committee and provide minutes to all members of the committee.
PROFESSIONAL CONFERENCE COMMITTEE. 21.1. The Professional Conference Committee (PCC) shall consist of six (6) representatives selected by the Association and six (6) management representatives selected by the Medical Center one of which shall be the Chief Nursing Officer. Unless otherwise mutually agreed, three (3) members of the bargaining unit shall rotate into the Committee every two (2) years as part of the Association’s six (6) representatives described above. The Chief Nursing Officer or designee and the Bargaining Unit President or designee shall act as co-chairs of the Committee.
PROFESSIONAL CONFERENCE COMMITTEE. There is hereby created an Professional Conference Committee established to discuss concerns of both parties and to xxxxxx improved communications between Employer and employee. The Committee, which will include the Director of Nursing or designee, will meet when necessary or requested, at a mutually agreed time, place, and date. Neither the Association nor Management shall have more than four voting representatives. Prior to the agreed meeting date the requesting party shall provide an agenda no less than five (5) working days prior to the meeting date. The Employer shall insure reasonable access to the Association and each employee an up to date collection of its policies. Employees shall be notified of any changes to policies issued by the Employer a minimum of seven (7) days in advance of implementation.
PROFESSIONAL CONFERENCE COMMITTEE. A. The purpose of the Professional Conference Committee (“PCC”) is to facilitate communications and cooperation between the Nurses and the Hospital. The PCC will establish a forum for open discussion of mutual concerns; discussion regarding changes in the workplace; identifying concerns between Nursing and other departments in the hospital; and to develop possible problem solving strategies. The Hospital members of the PCC shall consist of the C.N.O., or her designee, a Human Resource representative and two (2) nurse managers. The Association members of the PCC shall consist of three (3) Nurses employed at the Hospital, who are selected by the Association’s Local Unit, as well as the Association representative. Time spent by the PCC’s Local Unit members will be uncompensated, except for up to an aggregate collective total of three (3) hours per quarter for actual time spent attending PCC meetings. The PCC will normally meet on an every other month basis for an hour, unless (1) otherwise agreed by a majority vote of the PCC, or (2) an emergency meeting is mutually agreed to by the CNO and Local Unit Chair. In the event a problem is perceived regarding a policy adopted by the Hospital relating to nursing employment conditions, the policy will be discussed in the PCC. In the event a recommendation of the PCC is in conflict with this Agreement, the Association and the Hospital may by mutual agreement through a letter of understanding change the conflicting language. When the Hospital makes a final decision to implement a new RN pay classification within the bargaining unit, it shall be reported to the PCC at its next meeting. Upon the PCC’s timely request, the most recently compiled list of unfilled Nursing positions, vacancy and bargaining unit turnover rate will be provided to the PCC. Upon timely request, the most recent minutes of the Hospital’s Safety and/or Education committees will be available for review by the PCC’s Local Unit members, subject to their execution of a confidentiality agreement relating to such information. The PCC’s function is strictly advisory; therefore, nothing herein shall be deemed or construed to diminish the Hospital’s rights under Article 3, “Management Rights”, to create any additional obligation to bargain, to replace the grievance processes, or to make arbitral any issue not otherwise subject to arbitration under Article 12.

PROFESSIONAL CONFERENCE COMMITTEE. In order to facilitate communication and resolve issues of mutual interest, it is agreed that bargaining unit members may serve on a Professional Conference Committee (Labor - Management Committee) to confer on day-to-day work related problems. Bargaining unit members and Management shall each be charged with establishing the composition of their respective Committee members and shall have an equal number of representatives. Such meetings shall be held on an as needed basis at a date and time as mutually agreed to between the parties. Agenda items and membership list shall be submitted no less than ten (10) working days prior to the meeting date. It is understood that this Committee does not take the place of the grievance procedure. It is further understood that the purpose of such Committee is to meet and confer and to act only in an advisory role. The Committee will use an agreed upon problem solving process to address matters of mutual interest. When mutually agreed, a meeting facilitator or other third party may be used to conduct or participate in the meetings. The Committee will schedule training for members as soon as possible but not longer than sixteen months from induction to the Committee, unless mutually agreed upon by Committee members. Refresher training will be scheduled upon request. Training will be made available during regular business hours.

  • Training Committee The parties to this Agreement may form a Training Committee. The Training Committee will be constituted by equal numbers of Employer nominees and ETU employee representatives and have a charter which clearly states its role and responsibilities.   • PRE-JOB CONFERENCE Section 1. Upon written request by either Party, a pre-job conference will be held prior to the time the Employees of such Employer begin work on the project.

  • Advisory Committee The Settling State shall designate an Opioid Settlement Remediation Advisory Committee (the “Advisory Committee”) to provide input and recommendations regarding remediation spending from that Settling State’s Abatement Accounts Fund. A Settling State may elect to use an existing advisory committee or similar entity (created outside of a State-Subdivision Agreement or Allocation Statute); provided, however, the Advisory Committee or similar entity shall meet the following requirements:

  • Professional Development Committee There shall be a Professional Development Committee composed of two (2) members of the Association one of whom shall be the Bargaining Unit President or designate and two (2) representatives of the Hospital one of whom shall be the Chief Nursing Officer or designate and one human resources representative.

  • Staffing Committee A. Responsibilities. The Nurse Staffing Committee (“NSC”) shall be responsible for determining the Institute’s staffing plan and resolving complaints raised by nurses regarding the implementation of the plan as well as those activities required of it under RCW 70.41, et seq and its successors.
