Recognition of Prior Experience. When an Employee has experience satisfactory to the Employer, the Employee's starting salary shall be adjusted as follows: (a) Experience prior to a two (2) year lapse will not be recognized. (c) If the Employee submits satisfactory documentation of their experience to the Employer within thirty (30) calendar days of their start date the adjustment to the Employee’s rate of pay shall be effective retroactive to their start date. If the documentation is submitted after thirty (30) calendar days from their start date, such adjustments shall be effective the date the Employee submits documentation of their experience to the Employer.
Recognition of Prior Experience. Recognition for prior experience is assessed to determine the appropriate starting salary. Credit for recent experience in the ten (10) years prior to employment with the Employer will be granted on the following basis: i) If a nurse has related public health nursing experience in a public health unit, the nurse will be credited with one (1) service increment (i.e. salary step) for each year of experience to the maximum on the salary scale. ii) If a nurse has nursing experience other than public health nursing experience, the nurse will be credited with one (1) service increment (salary step) for each two (2) years of such experience to the maximum on the salary scale. iii) It is understood a nurse may utilize i) and ii) in establishing service credits to the maximum on the salary scale. iv) For purposes of interpreting i) and ii), one year of experience is on the basis of 1596 hours worked. (a) It shall be the responsibility of the nurse to provide proof of related experience on hiring in order to be considered for a salary increment on the salary grid and any dispute must be grieved within four (4) months from the date of hire. (Note: It is understood that, without acceptable documentation before the date of hire, a nurse will start at Level #1 (Start) until such time that acceptable documentation is provided.) Once verification has been received, the nurse will be paid the corrected amount with retroactive adjustments back to the original date of hire.
Recognition of Prior Experience. (a) For the purpose of establishing the Base Rate of Pay on hire for new employees hired after the date of ratification of this first agreement, the Employer may recognize up to ten (10) years of prior experience provided it is satisfactory to the Employer and not more than two (2) years have elapsed since such experience was obtained.

Recognition of Prior Experience. Credit shall be given new employees for prior experience in the same classification acquired either in hospitals currently accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Hospitals or comparable experience acquired as a member of the armed forces. Wage levels credited on experience shall be reviewed with the new employee at the time of hire and the new employee shall be given a copy of the Employee Biographic and Change Notice (EBCN) at the employee’s request. Such credit shall commence on the date satisfactory proof is provided by the new employee of such prior experience.
Recognition of Prior Experience. The Company may at its discretion recognise prior experience when calculating starting salaries for new employees. To be considered for recognition of prior experience the employee must have skills and experience relevant to the Company needs and requirements. Recognition of prior experience will be determined by the Chief Pilot and the Chief Aircrew Officer or their delegate. Years of prior experience in the same classification acquired either in hospitals currently accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Hospitals or comparable experience acquired as a member of the armed forces, sometimes referred to by the parties in the administration of this Agreement as “direct experience,” shall be credited as follows: 2 out of last 4 years: Step 2 3 out of last 5 years: Step 2 4 out of last 7 years: Step 3 5 out of last 8 years: Step 4 7 out of last 10 years: Step 5 10 out of last 14 years: Step 6 15 out of last 20 years: Step 7 18 out of last 25 years: Step 8 Years of prior experience in the same classification acquired in any workplace other than a hospital currently accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Hospitals or comparable experience acquired as a member of the armed forces, sometimes referred to by the parties in the administration of this Agreement as “indirect experience,” shall be reduced by 50% and then applied to the table above. Wage levels credited on experience shall be reviewed with the new employee at the time of hire and the new employee shall be given a copy of the Personnel Action Form (PAF) at the employee’s request. Such credit shall commence on the date satisfactory proof is provided by the new employee of such prior experience. Nursing Assistant experience acquired at hospitals currently accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Hospitals outside of Oregon will be considered equivalent to CNA II experience for the purposes of this article. Upon ratification of this agreement, any employees hired on or after January 1, 2017, will have thirty (30) days to submit a written request to Human Resources for additional credit for prior experience that was not credited at time of hire and to provide documentation of such experience. Upon providing documentation of such experience, employees requesting additional credit for prior experience will receive credit consistent with this Article.
