Required Membership Sample Clauses

Required Membership. All present employees shall, within thirty-one (31) days of the execution of this Agreement, either become and remain members of the Association or pay regular fees equal to Association membership fees, assessments and monthly dues. All employees in classifications covered by this Agreement who are hired by the Employer subsequent to the execution date of this Agreement shall, on or before the thirty-first (31st) day following the beginning of their employment, either become and remain members of the Association or pay regular fees equal to Association membership fees, assessments, and monthly dues. Any employee who transfers to a position covered under this Agreement from a position in a comparable classification covered under a separate labor agreement with the Employer shall not be required to pay any assessments or initiation fees upon transfer, but shall pay Association monthly dues or fees equal to such dues. Employees who are required to join the Association or pay regular fees and who fail to do so shall, upon notice in writing from the Association of such failure, be terminated. However, the Employer shall have sixty (60) days to recruit a replacement before any employee is terminated for failure to comply with the provisions of this Article. In cases where termination of an employee would result in a critical staffing situation, the sixty (60) day period may be extended by mutual agreement between the parties. Such an extension will not be unreasonably denied by the Association. As provided by Federal Law, employees of health care institutions are eligible to claim a religious exemption. Such cases shall be separately handled and the nurse shall make contributions to a tax-exempt, non-religious charitable organization of his/her choice. The Employer and the Association shall equally share expenses for the printing of an adequate supply of copies of this Agreement. Copies of this Agreement shall be provided to all current employees. Copies of this Agreement shall be provided to all new employees at the time of employment. The Employer shall also give to each new employee a copy of the current Association form authorizing voluntary payroll deductions of monthly dues as well as a membership packet prepared by the Association.
Required Membership. As a condition of employment, all employees working under the Jurisdiction of the contract shall be members of the Union. All new employees shall, within thirty (30) days of their date of employment, become members of the Union and maintain such membership as a condition of continued employment. Included in this are regular employees whether working full or part time.
Required Membership. During the life of this Agreement, employees of the Employer who are subject to this Agreement shall be required as a condition of employment to maintain membership in the Union in good standing, subject to Federal law. Compliance is required by the 31 st day after employment or the 31st day after the date of this Agreement, whichever is later.
Required Membership. All non-probationary Employees covered by this Agreement shall become members of the Union and shall continue membership in good standing during the life of the Agreement. “Union membership” and “membership in good standing” shall mean, for the purposes of this provision, the payment or tender of payment by the employee of the initiation fee and monthly dues uniformly applied by the Union pursuant to its international Constitution. In the event an employee does not comply with his/her obligation under this provision, the Union shall so notify the individual, providing such information as is required by the National Labor Relations Act in such circumstances, and notifying the employee of the Union’s intent to revoke the employee’s membership for failure to remain in good standing. The Union shall give the employee a minimum of 14 calendar days to improve his or her standing and shall notify the Ecology Center of said action within 48 hours of said notice. The Ecology Center shall terminate the employment of any Union employee whose membership from the Union is revoked. It shall be the responsibility of the union to collect union dues.
Required Membership. During the life of this Agreement, employees of the Employer who are subject to this Agreement shall be required as a condition of employment to maintain membership in the Union in good standing, subject to Federal law. Compliance is required by the 31st day after employment or the 31st day after the date of this Agreement, whichever is later. Any employee, who at the time of entry into this Agreement had the option to defer membership or maintain membership on an annual basis, shall retain such rights. The Union shall notify the Employer and the affected employee in writing of an employee’s failure to comply with the provisions of this Article and shall afford each such employee fifteen (15) work days, after the employee has been mailed such notice at his or her last known address, in which to comply. If said employee does not comply with the provisions of this Article within ten (10) day period following actual notice, the employee shall be promptly terminated upon written notice of such fact from the Union and the Employer. The Union will hold the Employer harmless from any claims or liability arising out of this Section, including the expense of defending against such claim.

Required Membership. Six (6) union selected direct patient care staff (three RN2 and three MHT/FCA/LPN), six (6) members determined by the hospital administration and shall include the Chief Financial Officer, Chief Nursing Officer, plus four patient care unit directors or managers. Standing members shall include the Chief Nursing Officer and Chief Financial Officer. Both hospital leadership and direct care members will have an alternate that is expected to attend meetings in preparation for need based on absence/vacancy.

  • Professional Memberships Each employee is eligible for reimbursement for membership fees or dues paid for the maintenance of a license required to perform employee’s job and for dues paid for membership in one additional job related professional association.

  • Membership Dues Association membership dues, as explicitly approved by the Trustees;

  • Termination of Membership You may terminate your membership by giving us written notice or by withdrawing your minimum required membership share(s), if any, and closing all your accounts. You may be denied services for causing a loss to the Credit Union, or you may be expelled for any reason as allowed by applicable law.

  • Membership Meetings The members may hold regular or special meetings either in the State of Delaware or elsewhere. Regular meetings of the members may be held without notice at a time and place as may be determined by the members. Any member may call a special meeting of the members by giving thirty (30) days prior written notice of the time, place and purpose of the meeting to the other members. Notice will be as provided in Article 11 of this Agreement. Any member may waive notice of any meeting. Members may participate in a meeting by means of telephone conference or other video or audio communications equipment where all persons participating in the meeting can simultaneously hear each other. Participation in such a meeting by a member will constitute the presence of the member at the meeting.

  • Substitute Members No Member shall have the right to substitute a transferee of all or any part of such Member’s Units in its place, except as provided in this Article 11. Any such transferee of Unit(s) (whether pursuant to a voluntary or involuntary Transfer) shall be admitted to the Company as a Substitute Member only (i) with the consent of the Manager granted at its sole discretion, (ii) by satisfying the requirements of this Article 11, and (iii) upon the receipt of all necessary consents of governmental and regulatory authorities. Persons who become Substitute Members pursuant to Article 11.5 need not comply with clause (i) of the preceding sentence. Each transferee of all or part of a Member's Membership Units, as a condition to its admission as a Substitute Member, shall execute and acknowledge such instruments, in form and substance satisfactory to the Manager, as the Manager reasonably deems necessary or desirable to effectuate such admission and to confirm the agreement of such person to be bound by all the terms and provisions of this Agreement with respect to the Membership Units acquired. All reasonable expenses, including attorneys’ fees, incurred by the Company in this connection shall be borne by such person.

  • Membership The Committee shall include nine (9) members - five (5) representatives from CUPE/SCFP and four (4) representatives from the CTA. Up to two (2) advisors from the Ministry of Education shall act in a resource capacity to the committee. Other persons may attend meetings in order to provide support and resources as mutually agreed. Up to one (1) representative from each of the four (4) employee bargaining agencies at the other education workers tables will be invited to participate on the Committee.

  • Committee Membership 1. Local representatives on committees specifically established by this Collective Agreement shall be appointed by the local. 2. In addition, if the employer wishes to establish a committee which includes bargaining unit members, it shall notify the local about the mandate of the committee, and the local shall appoint the representatives. The local will consider the mandate of the committee when appointing the representatives. If the employer wishes to discuss the appointment of a representative, the superintendent, or designate, and the president or designate of the local may meet and discuss the matter. 3. Release time with pay shall be provided by the employer to any employee who is a representative on a committee referred to in Article A.5.1 and A.5.2 above, in order to attend meetings that occur during normal instructional hours. Teacher teaching on call (TTOC) costs shall be borne by the employer. 4. When a TTOC is appointed to a committee referred to in Article A.5.1 and A.5.2 above, and the committee meets during normal instructional hours, the TTOC shall be paid pursuant to the provisions in each district respecting TTOC Pay and Benefits. A TTOC attending a “half day” meeting shall receive a half day’s pay. If the meeting extends past a “half day,” the TTOC shall receive a full day’s pay.

  • Board Membership During the Employment Term, Executive will serve as a member of the Board, subject to any required Board and/or stockholder approval.

  • Substituted Members Subject to the provisions of Article X hereof, in connection with the Permitted Transfer of a Unit hereunder, the Permitted Transferee shall become a Substituted Member on the effective date of such Transfer, which effective date shall not be earlier than the date of compliance with the conditions to such Transfer, and such admission shall be shown on the books and records of the Company, including the Schedule of Members.
