Sick Leave Upon Retirement. A bargaining unit member may convert unused sick leave to retirement credit in accordance with California Government Code Section 20862.5 or California Education Code Section 22719 or its successor if the employee is filing a request for sick leave.
Sick Leave Upon Retirement. Upon retirement, the employee shall be entitled to and be compensated for up to 600 hours of the employee’s accumulated sick leave.
Sick Leave Upon Retirement. ALL EMPLOYEES
1. Any employee leaving the employ of the Board with fifteen (15) but less than twenty (20) years of service in the Xxxxxxxx Township School District shall upon departure be paid for the accumulative sick time in accordance with the following schedule: % is based on per diem formula. Sick Leave Upon Retirement. Upon death, full service retirement, or disability retirement, an employee shall be paid up to one-half (1/2) of 1200 hours of accumulated sick leave to a maximum payout of 600 hours for 56-hour work week employees, or up to one-half (1/2) of 860 hours of accumulated sick leave to a maximum payout of 430 hours for 40- hour per week employees. Payment of unused sick leave hours shall be made at the employee’s actual hourly rate of pay.
Sick Leave Upon Retirement. Employees may elect to: convert all of their unused sick leave to service credit (Section 20965 Unused Sick Leave); or employees in good standing who have ten (10) years of continuous service may receive up to twenty five (25) percent of their first one thousand two hundred (1200) hours of unused sick leave as pay at their straight time rate of pay and convert the remaining balance of unused sick leave to service credit.
Sick Leave Upon Retirement. A. One Year Option
1. One year prior to retirement a police officer may convert the officer's accumulated sick leave days into value upon written application signifying an intention to retire and identifying the date upon which the officer intends to retire, on a form provided by the Town
2. Upon receipt of such notification the Town Board will convert said accumulated sick leave into value by taking the actual cash value of the accumulated sick days and multiplying by the rate of 60%. The resulting sum shall be paid to the officer at the officer's option exercised in writing as follows:
a. The sum shall be paid to the officer as part of the officer's final year salary by dividing the sum by the number of pay periods so as to allow for equal distribution over the officer's last year of employment, or
b. The sum shall be paid to the police officer on the date of the officer's retirement
3. In determining the number of days, which an officer may convert into value, each officer may retain not more than 30 days of sick leave for use in the last year of employment.
B. Three Year Option

Sick Leave Upon Retirement. An employee who separates from the County service after having completed ten (10) years of service, and who retires in accordance with the provisions of the Tulare County Employee's Retirement System, may elect to initially receive compensation in an amount equal to up to twenty percent (20%) of the accumulated sick leave credits of the employee at the time of separation; provided, however, that such compensation shall in no event exceed an amount equal to such employee's salary for two hundred fifty (250) hours of service. Such compensation shall be calculated on the hourly rate of pay plus any eligible additional pays for the position occupied at the time of separation. Such compensation shall not be paid upon the election of the employee to take a deferred retirement. Once such compensation has been calculated and paid, the provisions of Personnel Rule 6.7.8.b) relating to additional service credits shall take effect.
Sick Leave Upon Retirement. For unit members who retire between the dates of June 30th and August 31st of any calendar year, if written notice of resignation for the purpose of retirement is given by the immediately preceding January 1st, he or she shall be paid $10 per unused accumulated sick leave day upon retirement from the District to receive benefits from the New York State Teachers’ Retirement System (or N.Y.S. Employees’ Retirement System, if applicable). For the purposes of this provision of the Agreement, there shall be no cap placed upon the number of accumulated sick leave days that a unit member may accumulate. [This provision shall not apply in the case of a unit member who retires and receives a Retirement Incentive Payment as set forth above in this Article].
Sick Leave Upon Retirement. Sick Leave Upon Retirement. Sick pay benefits are available upon retirement if an employee has maintained continuous full-time employment with the City for a period of twenty (20) years or more and has accumulated sick days. The City will pay retiring employees for earned sick leave up to a maximum of four hundred eighty (480) hours (60 eight- hour days or 20 twenty-four hour days). Payment for up to four hundred eighty (480) earned sick leave hours may be made in one (1) lump sum or in payments every two (2) weeks for a period of twelve (12) weeks, concurrent with payroll. If the retiring employee chooses to receive up to four hundred eighty (480) earned sick leave hours in payments, rather than a lump sum, no further benefits will accrue, i.e., vacation, holidays, personal or sick days. The employee's termination date shall be the last day worked and not the last day paid. The employee's health insurance shall remain in effect for up to thirty (30) days after the termination date, at which time the employee may begin paying the full premium(s) if continued coverage is desired. Employees who are terminated or who retire to avoid the filing or pursuit of charges seeking their termination shall not be eligible for this sick leave benefit.
