Supervisory Leave. During each twelve (12) month period beginning January 1, employees in Unit F may, with prior approval of their Appointing Authority, take up to three (3) days (equivalent to 24 hours for a full-time employee) of leave with pay. This leave may be taken only during the twelve (12) month period in which it was granted and it may not be carried over into any subsequent period. No payment or other compensation for unused supervisory leave shall be allowed. The decision of the Appointing Authority, approving or denying requests for supervisory leave shall not be subject to the grievance procedure. Employees hired on a permanent basis after the beginning of the calendar year shall be given a pro rata amount – to the full hour of educational leave based on the number of pay periods remaining in the calendar year in which the employee was hired (e.g., hired at the beginning of pay period No. 8: 26 - 7 = 19, 19/26 x 24 = 18 hrs.).

Supervisory Leave. Employees in supervisory classifications requiring supervision of subordinate employees will receive up to sixteen (16) hours of supervisory leave in pay period 01 of each year. Part- time supervisory employees shall receive this leave time on a pro-rated basis. Supervisory leave does not accrue from year to year and must be used by the last day of pay period 26 of each year. This benefit is forfeited immediately upon leaving a supervisory classification.

Supervisory Leave. As partial recognition of the supervisorial and sensitive nature of the employer- employee relationship regarding employees covered hereunder, the City will provide paid supervisory leave time per fiscal year, as follows: A. Employees accrue a total of 48 hours of cashable supervisory leave. The 48 hours of supervisory leave time shall be granted in four equal increments of 12 hours, effective at the beginning of each three-month quarter of the fiscal year. Supervisory leave time can be used in one-hour increments to supplement eight hours of paid leave time for a regularly-scheduled work day comprised of more than eight hours. Unused supervisory leave time cannot be accrued from one fiscal year to the next. At the end of the fiscal year, the employee shall receive payment, at the employee's straight-time base salary rate of pay, for any unused supervisory leave time. B. In addition, employees accrue 32 hours of non-cashable supervisory leave. An employee must be on the payroll as of the first day of the fiscal year (July 1st) in order to be eligible to receive the 32 hours of non- cashable leave. Up to 24 hours of unused non-cashable supervisory leave hours can be carried over from one fiscal year to the next. Any remaining unused non-cashable supervisory leave hours cannot be carried over from one fiscal year to the next, nor shall the employee be compensated for unused non-cashable leave hours at the end of the fiscal year in which the hours accrued. C. The supervisory leave time shall be in addition to any other regular benefits provided by this Agreement.

This benefit is forfeited immediately upon leaving the classifications of Supervising Probation Officer-Institutions and Supervising Probation Officer.

Supervisory Leave. Each regular employee in the bargaining unit as of July 1st each calendar year will receive twenty (20) hours of Supervisory Leave to be used prior to June 30th of the following calendar year. The Supervisory Leave will have no cash value and any unused Supervisory Leave as of June 30th will be forfeited.

  • Professional Leave Professional leave without pay will be granted to full-time and regular part-time Nurses who are elected to the College of Nurses to attend regularly scheduled meetings of the College of Nurses. Professional leave without pay will be granted to Registered Nurses who are elected to the RNAO to attend regularly scheduled meetings. Professional leave without pay will be granted to Registered Practical Nurses who are elected to the RPNAO to attend regularly scheduled meetings.

  • Civic Leave Civic leave is provided to faculty members who are a) subpoenaed to appear before any court or other legally constituted body authorized to compel the attendance of witnesses, where the employee is not a party to the action; or b) summoned for jury duty by any court of competent jurisdiction. Faculty members required to report or serve for only part of a day for court or jury duty are obligated to return for the remainder of that day unless otherwise authorized by the Chair. Faculty members are required to provide written notification of civic leave to the Chair as far in advance of the leave as possible. Documentation regarding the leave (e.g., a copy of the summons, subpoena) shall be attached to the notification. The faculty member may retain any money received as compensation or expense reimbursement for jury duty or court attendance compelled by the summons or subpoena.

  • Employment Relations Education Leave Employment Relations Education Leave will be allowed in accordance with the Employment Relations Act.

  • FMLA Leave The Board agrees to comply with the Family and Medical Leave Act and agrees that any policy adopted to implement the FMLA shall in no way reduce or adversely impact any other provision of this Agreement.

  • Annual Leave 17.1 An employee shall be entitled to four weeks annual leave for each twelve months’ service with the Company, exclusive of public holidays. Annual leave accumulates monthly on a pro rata basis. 17.2 The annual leave entitlement for each part time employee shall be calculated pro rata according to the ordinary hours he or she actually works. 17.3 The time of giving and taking of leave shall be by mutual arrangement between the Company and the employee concerned. 17.4 The Company may direct an employee to take annual leave during any shut down, including any such shut down over the Christmas and New Year period, provided the employee has an accrued annual leave balance that will at least cover the period of the shut down. 17.5 The Company may direct an employee to take up to a quarter of his or her total accrued annual leave entitlement if the employee’s accrued annual leave entitlement exceeds 8 weeks. 17.6 Payment for annual leave shall be made at the relevant minimum rate of pay in clause 19 – Minimum wages, plus a loading of 17.5 per cent on that rate of pay. 17.7 The Company may allow annual leave to be taken by an employee before the right thereto has accrued due. 17.8 An employee has no entitlement to the payment of the loading, when annual leave is taken wholly or partly in advance, until an entitlement accrues due and the loading is then payable in respect of the period of such leave and is calculated on the relevant minimum rate of pay in clause 19 – Minimum wages, payable at the accruing of the entitlement. 17.9 Where leave has been granted to an employee before the leave has accrued due, the Company may deduct the balance of the payment to the employee for that leave period from whatever remuneration is payable to him or her upon the cessation of employment. 17.10 An employee whose employment is terminated by the Company or who lawfully leaves the employment shall be entitled to a pro rata payment calculated on his or her relevant minimum rate of pay in clause 19 – Minimum wages, for the period in respect of which annual leave has not been taken, provided that the loading in clause 17.6 shall only be paid in respect of paid out annual leave for employees who have been employed for a minimum 12 months with the Company.
