UNION REPRESENTATIVES AND STEWARDS. 8.1 A Union Representative must seek and obtain permission from the Chief Administrative Officer or designate to meet or interview Employees, which permission shall not be unreasonably withheld. Such meetings or interviews shall only be carried on in a place designated by the Municipality.
8.2 The Union shall advise the Municipality of the election or appointment of Shop Stewards and any changes occurring in such positions as they occur, in writing.
8.3 The Municipality agrees to recognize the Shop Xxxxxxx for the purpose of assisting an Employee with a grievance and for the purpose of attending negotiations with the Municipality.
8.4 A Shop Xxxxxxx shall limit their activities to such time periods so that they do not interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Municipality.
UNION REPRESENTATIVES AND STEWARDS. The Union may designate a number of stewards appropriate to the size of the unit who shall be members of the bargaining unit. The Union shall provide a list of the name of each xxxxxxx and their jurisdiction to the University. Should a designation of Union xxxxxxx change, the Union shall provide an updated list to the University within ten (10) days of the effective date of such change. A xxxxxxx who is processing a grievance in accordance with the grievance procedure of this Agreement shall be permitted reasonable paid release time to meet with University representatives and process the grievance during their normal working hours. Time off for processing a grievance shall be granted to a xxxxxxx by a supervisor following a request, provided it does not interrupt time sensitive work responsibilities. A Union representative is encouraged to coordinate with relevant parties to avoid disruption of work when interacting with an ASE, unless the interaction is of a limited or informal nature and does not interfere with work.
UNION REPRESENTATIVES AND STEWARDS. 7.01 If an authorized Union representative who is not employed by the Company wishes to speak to local Union representatives in the Distribution facility concerning Union business, such meetings must be conducted with the prior approval of the Human Resources Manager or his designee, and shall be arranged to take place in an office set aside for that purpose.
7.02 a) The Union shall be permitted three (3) stewards for the normal day shift. When additional shifts are added one additional xxxxxxx from that shift may be added.
UNION REPRESENTATIVES AND STEWARDS. 6.01 The Union shall advise the Employer of the election or appointment of stewards and any changes occurring in such positions as they occur, in writing.
6.02 The Employer agrees to recognize up to two (2) stewards for the purpose of assisting an Employee with a grievance, meeting with a Union representative, and for the purpose of attending negotiations with the Employer.
6.03 The Union acknowledges that the xxxxxxx'x primary responsibility is to the Employer. The xxxxxxx shall, therefore, limit their activities to such times and places as to not interfere or disrupt the operation of the Employer.
6.04 Unless otherwise specified in this Agreement, or authorized by the Employer, stewards and Employees shall not conduct Union business during their working time.
6.05 The xxxxxxx and Union representative agree that matters to be brought forward by the xxxxxxx or Union representative are to have been previously discussed with the affected Employee(s).
6.06 In the event that a Union representative is required to communicate with an Employee during the Employee’s working hours, the Union representative may contact the Employee by telephone, after providing notice to Human Resources.
(a) be carried on in private in a private place within the Employee’s immediate workspace;
(b) be held whenever possible during the meal period or rest period;
(c) be limited to five (5) minutes in duration; and
(d) held at such time as shall minimize interference with the Employer’s operation. When conducting a call with an Employee, the Union representative shall observe all reasonable policies governing the Employer’s operations. It is understood and agreed that in some instances, telephone calls with Employees may not be accommodated due to the Employee’s obligation to carry out their duties and that such an occurrence shall not be construed as the Employer prohibiting, preventing or unduly interfering with the Union representative’s rights that are provided for in this Agreement.
6.07 The Employer agrees to circulate, via email, on behalf of the Union, any notices or information which relate to matters of interest to the Employees. Any such notices or information must be provided by the Union to the Employer prior to circulation for review and approval of the Managing Director. Where the proposed notices or information do not meet the approval of the Managing Director, the Employer shall inform the Union that the notices or information will not be circulated.
UNION REPRESENTATIVES AND STEWARDS. The Union will designate from within the Represented Technicians unit, Shop Stewards for the Bargaining unit. The Union’s Business Manager or his designee will designate, in writing, to the Company, the names of the Represented Technicians to serve as shop stewards and to whom this provision will apply. There will be a shop xxxxxxx assigned on each show.
UNION REPRESENTATIVES AND STEWARDS.
5.01 No individual employee or group of employees shall undertake to represent the Union at meetings with the Employer without proper authorization of the Union. In order that this may be carried out, the Union will supply the Employer with the names of its Union Representatives. Similarly, the Employer will supply the Union with a list of its supervisory or other personnel with whom the Union may be required to transact business.
5.02 The bargaining unit employees have the right, at any time, to have the assistance of a Union Representative of the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union when dealing with the Employer. Such Union Representative shall have reasonable access to the Employer’s premises.
5.03 (1) The Union shall have the right to appoint or otherwise select, from amongst employees within the bargaining unit who have completed their probationary period:
a) One (1) union xxxxxxx from each base, as well as one (1) Chief Xxxxxxx and one (1) Assistant Chief Xxxxxxx;
b) Two (2) union stewards who will be part-time employees, one of which shall be designated as Chief Part-time Xxxxxxx.
UNION REPRESENTATIVES AND STEWARDS. The Union shall notify the designated Adult Services Division Manager of the County of San Xxxx Obispo Department of Social Services of the names of its paid staff representatives and shop stewards at the beginning of each fiscal year. If there are any changes to the list of representatives/stewards, the Union will notify the designated Adult Services Division Manager within 30 calendar days of the change.
UNION REPRESENTATIVES AND STEWARDS. (a) Union representatives shall be permitted at all times to enter any place or location where any work covered by this Agreement is being, has been, or will be, performed. Where there are visitation restrictions imposed at the jobsite by entities other than the Employer, the Employer will use his best efforts to provide access to the site for the Union representatives.
(b) The Union reserves the right to appoint a Xxxxxxx who shall be appointed from among the Journeyperson Plasterers employed on the job who are members in good standing of the Union. The Xxxxxxx shall be permitted by the Employer to perform his/her duties during working hours, provided, however, that the Xxxxxxx shall make every reasonable effort to perform his/her duties as promptly and expeditiously as possible.
UNION REPRESENTATIVES AND STEWARDS. The Employer recognizes the right of the Job Stewards, Chief Stewards and/or the Business Agent to deal with complaints and grievances as permitted by the Collective Agreement. The Union shall inform the Employer in writing within ten days of their appointment as to the names and addresses of it’s officers, negotiating committee members, Xxx and Chief Stewards and the areas they represent and any other persons who are authorized representatives of the Union in matters which are appropriate under the provisions of this Agreement. The Union shall also inform the Employer in writing of any changes to such a list of names. The Employer agrees that a Job Xxxxxxx or a Chief Xxxxxxx may conduct a review of any dispute within their area arising from the application of this Agreement. Where permission is granted to a Job Xxxxxxx or Chief Xxxxxxx from the Xxxxxxx’x designated manager to leave their employment for up to two
UNION REPRESENTATIVES AND STEWARDS. (a) The Union may appoint shop and job stewards. The Xxxxxxx shall be the last employee to be laid off or discharged except for just cause. The Xxxxxxx shall be allowed a reasonable amount of time during the working hours set forth in this Agreement to perform his or her Union duties each day.
(b) Union representatives shall be permitted at all times to enter any place or location where any work covered by this Agreement is being, has been, or will be, performed. Where there are visitation restrictions imposed at the jobsite by entities other than the Employer, the Employer will use his best efforts to provide access to the site for the Union representatives.
(c) The Union shall be permitted, upon request at reasonable times, to examine the payroll records of the Individual Employer, including time cards of the employees.
