Vacation Leave Carryover. On December 31 of each year, employees are eligible to carry over to the following year up to 240 hours of vacation leave. Vacation leave in excess of 240 hours each year must be used prior to December 31st or cashed out or it shall be forfeited. Employees may request to carry over vacation leave above 240 hours to the next year. The request shall be submitted to the employee’s manager and the manager will take the request to the Department Director with a recommendation for approval or disapproval. The Director shall make the final decision on vacation carryover above 240 hours.
Vacation Leave Carryover. An employee may accumulate and carry over vacation leave to the following year. However, no vacation leave shall be carried over under any circumstances for more than four (4) years.

Vacation Leave Carryover. No carryover. Any vacation not taken during the year to be paid out in January of the following year.
Vacation Leave Carryover. An employee is entitled to compensation at his/her current rate of pay for any earned but unused vacation leave to his/her credit at time of separation. An employee may not accumulate more than 3 years of vacation leave at their current rate of accrual, except in special or unusual circumstances, the Clerk may permit the employee to accumulate and carryover his/her vacation leave for up to one (1) additional year.
Vacation Leave Carryover. An employee may accrue vacation leave not to exceed a total of 275 hours. Once the 275-hour cap is reached no further leave accrues until some of the vacation leave is utilized. Once some of the vacation leave is utilized accrual of leave resumes up to the cap of 275 hours. Vacation Leave Carryover. No more than fifteen (15) days of earned annual leave may be carried forward beyond the end of the fiscal year (June 30). Provided that in the event the University identifies an urgent need for an Employee to be at work that is of major importance and which (i) requires denial of an Employee’s request for annual leave and (ii) would create unused annual leave as of June 30, that Employee may carry forward such unused annual leave beyond June 30 through and including October 31, at which time the unused leave will be forfeited. An Employee must submit, via email, a leave carryover request to their supervisor.
Vacation Leave Carryover. Vacation Leave is expected to be used in full each year. However, in the event that a member is not able to schedule and use vacation leave prior to the end of the calendar year due to extraordinary circumstances, the member may request accrued, but unused vacation leave be carried over to the next calendar year with approval from the Chief. In no event shall more than 20 hours be carried over to the next calendar year. Such a request must be approved and submitted to the Human Resources Department no later than December 1.
Vacation Leave Carryover. Employees shall be permitted to carry over from year to year a maximum of two hundred percent (200%) of their annual vacation accrual rate.
