Bidding of Runs. (a) Prior to the start of each school calendar year there shall be an orientation assignment meeting at which attendance by each bus driver/monitor is required. Each bus driver/monitor shall be paid actual time for the time required to be present at this meeting, but not less than two (2) hours pay for drivers and two (2) hour pay for monitors. At this meeting, the drivers will be given the opportunity to bid on any runs that have become vacant since the conclusion of the previous assignment meeting. When all of the bids have been received, the Board shall then assign those open runs to the drivers who have indicated their desire to be placed on those runs, based on their seniority within their classification. (b) Bus drivers/bus monitors shall be paid at their regular straight time hourly rate for attendance at any other meetings of bus drivers/bus monitors for which attendance is required. (c) In the event a regular run vacancy occurs subsequent to the orientation bid meeting and is filled with a non-bargaining unit substitute, there shall be second bid meeting conducted at the start of the second semester. There will be an end of September bid scheduled the last working day of September to fill any open positions. In the event a regular run vacancy occurs subsequent to the September bid meeting and is filled with a non-bargaining unit substitute, there shall be a second bid meeting conducted in January.

Bidding of Runs. (a) All runs and new positions are subject to seniority and shall be posted for bids in accordance with paragraph (b) below. Posting shall be at a conspicuous place so that all eligible employ- ees will receive notice of the vacancy run or position open for bid; a description of the runs shall be posted before bidding, and such posting of bids shall be made not more than once each calendar year, unless mutually agreed upon. Employees off on extended absence shall be notified by the Em- ployer, in writing, of the run(s) or new position(s) open for bid. The employee shall notify the Employer within seventy-two (72) hours of receipt of his selection of a run or new position. During the peri- od that the absent employee remains off the job, his bid will be filled by an on-call employee. When the absent employee returns, the on-call replacement shall return to the on-call list. The Employer will offer hold down bids to qualified extra board em- ployees within that classification for vacations which are one week or longer in duration, except during the months of January, June, July, August and December. Such hold down bids will be awarded in se- niority order with no bumping after the award of such bid. (b) In the event any vacancy occurs on established runs or on new runs which may be established by the Employer, a notice concern- ing such runs shall be posted for a period of seven (7) days and the road drivers, in the order of their seniority, shall have the right to select or refuse such runs. In the event of refusal by senior men, the junior man must take the run. Seniority does not give an employee the right to choose a specific unit or load. Employees off on extended absence shall be notified by the Em- ployer in writing of a vacancy. The employee shall notify the Em- ployer within seventy-two (72) hours of receipt of notice. During the period that the absent employee remains off the job the vacancy will be filled by an on-call employee. All Regular, Double, Kindergarten, and Combination runs will be established by the Employer. Drivers shall be permitted to retain their regularly bid routes from year to year, unless one of the following provisions occurs: a. Bumped by a more seniored driver (whose route has been eliminated or reduced in compensation) b. Removed for disciplinary reasons c. Removed because the driver is not qualified. 3. A certified and qualified driver whose route from the previous school year has been eliminated (or whose compensation has been reduced) shall have the right to exercise his/her seniority to displace any less senior driver by giving written notice to the Employer and the Union within five (5) calendar days from receipt of a notice from the Employer of the route elimination or compensation reduction. A certified and qualified displaced driver shall have the right to exercise his/her seniority in the same manner as is described above. The above procedures shall be applicable only at or immediately before the commencement of a school year. Layoffs or reductions subsequent to that time shall be governed under Article 9 of this Agreement.

Drivers shall maintain written logs (provided by the District) of all such parent contacts and t u r n them in to their supervisor within five days of the end of the month in order to be paid. Compensation for completing these duties shall be as follows beginning September – June of each current year. Bidding of Runs. (a) The initial bid meeting for the current school year will take place on the first staff day of the school year. The runs/routes/shuttles established by the Employer will be posted no later than the second Wednesday of August. (b) In order to qualify to bid on runs/routes/shuttles, Employees must notify Employer, in writing, of their intent to return no later than August 1.

  • Banking of RDOs (a) Where the Employer and an Employee agree up to five RDOs may be accrued for the purpose of creating a bank to be drawn upon by the Employee at times mutually agreed. Details of such banked RDOs will be entered on to each Employee’s employment records. (b) Where there is a dispute in relation to the operation of this sub-clause and it is unable to be resolved at the workplace level, the matter will be determined in accordance with clause 10- Disputes Resolution Procedure of this Agreement.

  • RECORDING OF SERVICE INSTRUCTIONS The Bank may (but shall not be obliged to) at its absolute discretion tape or otherwise record all Service Instructions, and the Account Holder agrees to the use of such tapes or recordings and any transcripts thereof which the Bank may make for any purpose that the Bank deems desirable, including their use as evidence in any proceedings against the Account Holder or any other person.
