COMPENSATION FOR PUBLIC HOLIDAYS. Employees who are on the shelf on the following days are to be paid a compensation of NOK 1.430, - per day: New Year's Day, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter Sunday, Easter Monday, Ascension Day, Whitsunday, Whit Monday, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, 1 and 17 May. In the same way compensation is paid to employees who are on the shelf after 1500 hours on Christmas or New Years Eves. Double compensation is not to be paid even if 17 May falls on one of the other days mentioned. (Ref. also section 3.3, fifth paragraph.) The compensation mentioned is to be regarded as an occasional bonus for the individual employee and shall not be included in the basis for calculation of sickness benefit.

COMPENSATION FOR PUBLIC HOLIDAYS. Employees who are on the shelf or registered at a heliport for departure on the following days are to be paid a compensation of NOK 1,975 per day: New Year’s Day, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter Sunday, Easter Monday, Ascension Day, Whit Sunday, Whit Monday, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, 1 and 17 May. Compensation will also be paid to employees who are on the shelf after 3 p.m. on Christmas or New Year’s Eve. The above-mentioned compensation is to be regarded as an occasional bonus for the individual employee and shall not be included in the basis for calculating sickness benefits.

COMPENSATION FOR PUBLIC HOLIDAYS. For public holidays that are not in a weekend, you will get a paid day off. The following rules apply:  If, according to Xxxxxxx, it’s necessary for you to work a shift on a public holiday that is not a weekend day, you receive compensation for the hours worked with retention of salary.  If you work on Saturdays or Sundays according to your schedule, and the Saturday or Sunday is a public holiday, you get compensation in free time for the hours worked. You also receive an allowance for public holidays, as described in Article 9.4: Calculation of compensation for irregular working hours.  Days off are also included in the schedule agreements. These are scheduled days off, without Saturdays, Sundays or weekend replacement days. Days off cannot coincide with public holidays that are on a week day.  In consultation with the (central) works council, Xxxxxxx can deviate from paragraphs 2 and 3. The new agreements will then apply instead of paragraphs 2 and 3. If no agreement is reached, the provisions of paragraphs 2 and 3 will remain in effect.  You may also enjoy a day off on your own public holiday or Memorial Day. That day then replaces (one of the) public holidays and anniversaries mentioned in Chapter 1, as long as this is feasible with business operations. You inform Xxxxxxx of this day when you start working or before a new calendar year starts.

  • HOLIDAY COMPENSATION FOR TIME WORKED 177. Employees required by their respective appointing officers to work on any of the above designated or observed holidays, excepting Fridays observed as holidays in lieu of holidays falling on Saturday, shall be paid extra compensation of one additional day's pay at time- and-one-half the usual rate (i.e. 12 hours pay for 8 hours worked) or a proportionate amount for less than 8 hours worked. At the employee's request and with the approval of the appointing officer, an employee may be granted compensatory time off in lieu of paid overtime pursuant to the provisions herein. 178.
