Computation of Pay. 25.01 For the purposes of computing pay for regular time and overtime: a. The end of each day is midnight and the end of each week is Saturday midnight, except where an employee works a continuous period of time which starts before midnight and ends after midnight, in which case the end of the day shall be the end of that continuous piece of work. b. Time shall be calculated by the half (1/2) hour so that an employee shall be paid for a full half (1/2) hour period if any portion of a half (1/2) hour period is worked. c. If an employee, at the call of the employer, completed a period of duty in any day and is recalled to duty by the employer on the same day after a break of greater than two (2) hours has elapsed since the completion of that period of duty, and as a result of such recall works a further period of time, the employee shall be paid one (1) hour travel time at the applicable rate. d. If an employee is released prior to the completion of a minimum call and is recalled for a further period of duty after a break of greater than two (2) hours has elapsed, that employee shall be paid one (1) hour for travel time at the applicable rate less that amount of time that remained in the call from which the employee was released. 25.02 The following times shall be paid at one and one-half (1 ½) the appropriate straight time rate: a. Time worked in excess of eight hours (8) in any day. b. Time worked in excess of forty (40) hours straight time in any week. 25.03 The following times shall be paid at double (2X) the straight time rate: a. All time worked in excess of eleven (11) hours in any one (1) day or shift. 25.04 Premiums‌ a. Time worked between 12:00AM (Midnight) and 8:00AM shall be paid a premium of one half (0.5x) times the straight time hourly rate. b. Premiums shall be paid and listed as a separate line item on employee’s pay stubs.

Computation of Pay. 28.01 By mutual agreement between the Employer and the Union, an employee may take time off work in lieu of remuneration for overtime subject to the maintenance of efficient services and operations. In such a case the time off shall be calculated in the same manner as the rates of pay as outlined in Article 28.

Computation of Pay. 10.3.1 Vacation pay shall be the regular rate of pay in effect for the employee’s regular position at the time he takes his vacation. 10.3.2 If a holiday occurs during an employee’s vacation, the holiday will not be charged against vacation credits. 10.3.3 An employee on paid sick leave, jury duty, time on paid vacation or other full pay status will be considered as time worked in determining vacation credits. 10.3.4 If a regular pay period(s) falls during an employee’s vacation, he/she may request his/her vacation pay before his/her scheduled vacation begins provided such request is made a reasonable time before the start of the vacation. 10.3.5 Employees shall earn vacation credits for every month in which they work or receive regular compensation for fifteen (15) work days. For the purpose of this paragraph, Worker’s Compensation shall constitute “regular compensation” but off-the- job disability payments, shall not constitute “regular compensation.”

All time worked in excess of eleven (11) hours in any one day or shift. 26.04 The employer shall not be liable for paid Statutory Holidays as required by the Employment Standards Act of B.C. However, in lieu of this requirement the employer shall pay to each employee an amount equal to four percent (4%) of that employee’s gross wages, to be paid as part of each Friday’s pay cheque.

Time worked in excess of eight (8) hours (per production) in any day. b. Time worked in excess of forty (40) hours straight time (per production) in any week. 37.03 All time worked in excess of eleven (11) hours (per production) in any one day shall be paid at two times (2x) the straight time rate. All time worked in excess of eight (8) hours on a sixth (6th) consecutive day of work, provided forty (40) straight time hours have been worked. 37.04 Time worked while at straight time between midnight and 8:00 a.m. shall be paid a premium of one half (½) the appropriate straight time rate. 37.05 Where a casual employee is scheduled to work on a statutory holiday, the employee shall be paid at one and one half times (1½x) their normal wage/salary for all hours worked up to eleven (11) hours and two times (2x) their normal wage/salary for all hours worked in excess of eleven (11) hours.
Computation of Pay. 28.01 By mutual agreement between the Employer and the Union, an employee may take time off work in lieu of remuneration for overtime. In such a case the time off shall be calculated in the same manner as the rates of pay as outlined in Article 28.02; Banked overtime shall not be carried over into the next fiscal year end and shall be paid out by the Employer December 30th of each year. 28.02 For the purposes of calculating overtime the following factors shall be applied: a) For all time worked over eight (8) hours and up to ten (10) hours in a day or over forty (40) hours in a week, one and one-half (1 1/2) times the straight time hourly rate. b) For all time worked over ten (10) hours in a day, two (2) times the straight time hourly rate. 28.03 Statutory holidays shall be allowed as per Provincial Statute. All employees who are required to work on Statutory holidays shall be compensated at one and one-half (1 ½) the appropriate rate. 28.04 For regular part time employees who are not eligible for statutory holiday benefits as provided for in Article 28.03 above shall in lieu thereof be paid, in addition to their regular wages, an amount equal to four percent (4%) of that employee’s gross wages, to be paid as part of each regular pay cheque. 28.05 For the purposes of this Agreement the following have been designated as paid Statutory Holidays: New Year's Day Good Friday Easter Monday Victoria Day Canada Day British Columbia Day Labour Day Thanksgiving Day Remembrance Day Christmas Day Boxing Day plus any other general holiday proclaimed by Federal, Provincial or Municipal Governments.
