Dues and Other Deductions. Pursuant to Ohio Revised Code, Section 4117.09(B)(2), the City agrees to deduct FOP/OLC membership dues, in the amount certified by the FOP/OLC to the City, from the pay of any FOP/OLC member who submits a written authorization for such deduction. The City also agrees to deduct FOP/OLC initiation fees and assessments, in the amount certified by the FOP/OLC to the City, from the pay of any FOP/OLC member who submits a written authorization for the deductions and whom the FOP/OLC certifies owes initiation fees or assessments. A. The dues deductions authorized by this Section shall be made in the first two (2) pay periods of each month. If a FOP/OLC member has insufficient pay due on that payday, such amount shall be deducted from the next or subsequent pay. B. If a FOP/OLC member desires a payroll deduction for FOP/OLC dues, initiation fees and/or assessments, the member shall sign a corresponding payroll deduction form, which the FOP/OLC shall furnish, and shall present to the appropriate City payroll clerk. C. The City agrees to furnish to the FOP/OLC once each calendar month, a warrant in the aggregate amount of the deductions made for that calendar month together with a listing of the members for whom deductions were made. Nothing herein shall prohibit FOP/OLC members covered by this Agreement from submitting dues directly to the FOP/OLC. D. Any member may at any time withdraw his or her authorization for payroll deductions of dues, assessments or initiation fees by submitting a letter to the appropriate payroll clerk expressing the member’s desire to withdraw his or her d authorization. The member will submit a copy of the letter to the Director of the FOP/OLC. E. The City will allow additional payroll deduction(s) for FOP/OLC provided member benefits on a voluntary basis, provided that: 1) the member provides appropriate written authorization to the City Finance Department; 2) five or more members are participating in each additional benefit program for which the City is providing a payroll deduction. F. Should the number of FOP/OLC members enrolled in any particular member benefit program fall below five (5) members for a period of six or more consecutive months, the City may terminate the payroll deductions for that benefit program. The City also agrees to deduct Lodge initiation fees and assessments, in the amount certified by the Lodge to the City, from the pay of any Lodge member who submits a written authorization for the deductions and whom the Lodge certifies owes initiation fees or assessments. The deductions authorized by this Section shall be made in the first pay period of each month. If a Lodge member has insufficient pay due on that payday, such amount shall be deducted from the next or subsequent pay.
Dues and Other Deductions. The District agrees to make payroll deductions as hereafter indicated from the pay of employees covered by this Agreement. Such deductions shall commence upon submission of a written authorization, satisfactory to the District, by the employee as forwarded by the Union. Deductions shall include monthly membership dues, assessments, insurance premiums, initiation fees, and contributions, including but not limited to Committee on Political Education (“COPE”) contributions, as are authorized by the employee, and shall be forwarded monthly to the appropriate Union in an agreed upon electronic format. Dues and assessments shall be uniformly applicable to all employees in the same job classification or pay level in the applicable subunit. No fines or penalty imposed on an individual by the Union shall be collected by means of payroll deduction under this Section. The Union shall hold the District harmless from any and all claims, and will indemnify it against any unusual costs in implementing these provisions.

An employee electing to revoke his or her dues deduction authorization shall notify the employer in writing of such election. On receipt of dues revocation, the Board will notify the Association in writing of such dues revocation. The revocation shall be implemented in the payroll period following the payroll period in which the notice is received subject to the provisions of this section. The authorization form described in the second preceding paragraph shall fully set forth the obligation of this paragraph. D. All dues deducted by the Board shall be remitted to the Treasurer of the Association on or before the tenth (10) Employee employment day of each month (October through June). E. The Association shall indemnify and save harmless the Board and all of its agents and Employees from any and all claims, demands, suits, and costs incurred in connection with any such claim, demand, or suit, resulting from any reasonable action taken or omitted by the Board or any of its agents or Employees for the purpose of complying with the provisions of this article. Dues and Other Deductions. 11.1.1 The right of a payroll deduction for payment of organizational dues shall be accorded without charge to the Association. 11.1.2 The District shall, upon appropriate written authorization from any Unit Member, deduct and make appropriate remittance for bargaining unit dues, insurance premiums, credit union, payments, bank, savings bonds, charitable donations, annuities or other plans or programs jointly approved by the Association and the District. The Board agrees to deduct from teacher's salaries dues for the Greenwich Education Association, the Connecticut Education Association, and the National Education Association when a teacher provides written authorization for such deductions, and to submit all such monies promptly to the Greenwich Education Association in accordance with Article 30. Any deductions missed because of no pay will be the responsibility of the employee. The City will provide the vendors designated by the union with the names of employees from whom deductions were made along with total deductions, but assume no other responsibility.
Dues and Other Deductions. ‌ A. All Association members who have affirmatively consented to deductions shall have their dues deducted on a twelve (12) month basis.
