Emergency/Personal Leave. Probationary, tenured, fixed-term and NTT faculty members may be granted up to three (3) days (non-cumulative) of emergency or personal leave per fiscal year for situations not covered by other provisions of this Agreement that arise necessitating the absence of the faculty member from the campus. Whenever possible, the faculty member shall apply for prior approval of the leave by the President/designee. Adjunct and community faculty shall be granted up to one (1) day of such leave each semester.

Emergency/Personal Leave. During the course of an annual appointment, coaches will be permitted to take one (1) additional day (non-cumulative) of Emergency/Personal Leave per Fiscal Year in addition to the leave provided for in Article 17, Section E.
Emergency/Personal Leave. The Fire Chief, or his designee, may approve up to forty-eight (48) hours leave to an employee for emergency leave, to be used in increments of no less than one (1) hour. If approved, such leave shall be charged to either the employees accrued vacation leave, compensatory leave, or personal leave, whichever the employee chooses.
Emergency/Personal Leave. An employee shall be granted emergency absence from service up to one (1) day emergency leave with full pay in cases of accident to, major surgery or serious illness of a member of the employee’s immediate family, when the employee’s relative is hospitalized, or the relative’s life is in jeopardy. Such one-day leave shall not be cumulative from one year to the next, and shall not affect accumulated sick leave.

Emergency/Personal Leave. 901 Unit members may be granted an emergency leave of absence with pay for not more than three (3) days upon the recommendation of the Superintendent or designee and approval of the Board of Education.
Emergency/Personal Leave. Each teacher shall be granted four (4) days Emergency/Personal Leave per year without deduction in pay for the purpose of transacting personal matters that require absence during school hours. The teacher shall not be required to state his/her reason when applying for leave, except as prescribed below. Personal leave requests shall be made not less than twenty-four (24) hours in advance to the building administrator unless extenuating circumstances prevail. Upon specific approval of the Superintendent, Emergency/Personal Leave may be used on days immediately preceding or following school holidays or vacation periods. A reason for the leave may be required and such approved leave may be without pay. If the request for Emergency/Personal Leave is denied, the Superintendent will give specific reasons for the denial in writing to the teacher and the building principal. Unused Emergency/Personal Leave shall be cumulative to a maximum of six (6) days. Unused personal days in excess of six (6) may, at the annual election of the teacher, either be reimbursed at half (1/2) of the substitute pay or added to available sick leave as a whole day. The leveling to six (6) personal days shall occur at the beginning of each school year. A teacher who has exhausted all of his/her accumulated Emergency/Personal Leave may convert one accumulated unused sick day to Emergency/Personal Leave. Provided, however, no teacher may use more than a total of six (6) Emergency/Personal Leave days during the school year and no teacher may use this converted day for travel, or to extend a weekend, or other break period.
Emergency/Personal Leave. A request for an emergency/personal leave day for the following year may be submitted at the start of duty day on June 1st or the first work day following June 1st. Days are considered on a first come/first served basis. NOTE: Maximum of three (3) days per year unless Section 8.7.8 is applicable.
