Entitlement and Accrual. If Employees are unable to work as a result of personal illness or injury, Employees are entitled to paid sick leave as follows: ▪ Full Time Employee Are entitled to 10 days personal/xxxxx’s leave after 12 months completed service which can either be taken as sick leave or carers’ leave in accordance with the AFPC Standards. ▪ Part Time Employee Are entitled to a pro-rata entitlement based on the average number of ordinary hours worked per week up to a maximum of 38.
Entitlement and Accrual. The Employee is entitled to Annual Leave in accordance with the Workplace Relations Act 1996, so that each Employee is entitled to accrue an amount of paid leave, for each completed four (4) week period of continuous service with an Employer, of 1/13 of the number of nominal hours worked by the Employee for the Employer during that four (4) week period.
Entitlement and Accrual. (a) For each year of service, the entitlement is 5 weeks paid annual leave and is based on the roster being worked.
(b) The annual leave entitlement will be determined by multiplying the average hours worked per week by five (weeks) and adding, if appropriate, the additional seven day roster entitlement as specified in Clause 7.2(b)(vii).
(c) When rosters are changed, a new annual leave entitlement will be determined and accrued from the commencement of the new roster.
(d) Annual leave accrues pro rata on a weekly basis.
(e) In the calculation of continuous service for the purpose of accrual of annual leave, any time in respect of which an Operator is absent from work, except for time for which the Operator is entitled to claim paid annual leave, paid sick leave, long service leave and public holidays, shall not count as service or time worked.
(f) Unused annual leave in any one year may be carried forward to the next year, but any accrued annual leave must not exceed 480 hours. The Company may direct an Operator to take annual leave if the accrual exceeds 480 hours.
(g) In exceptional circumstances, such as a long overseas holiday, a request can be made to accrue more than 480 hours annual leave. If granted, the Company shall provide written approval.
Entitlement and Accrual. (a) Sick leave entitlements will accrue at a rate of 2 weeks (120 hours) per annum. Unused sick leave will be carried forward.
(b) Xxxx leave accrues pro rata on a weekly basis.
(c) In the calculation of continuous service for the purpose of accrual of sick leave, any time in respect of which an Operator is absent from work, except for time for which the Operator is entitled to claim paid annual leave, paid sick leave, long service leave and public holidays, shall not count as service or time worked.
(d) All claims for sick leave entitlements must be substantiated by proof of illness or injury that would satisfy a reasonable person. The first 76 hours of sick leave will not require a doctor’s certificate but the remainder will require a doctor’s certificate dated at the time of the absence where the employee does not have any other proof of the illness or injury that would satisfy a reasonable person.
(e) There is no entitlement to be paid sick leave where the Operator’s illness or injury is attributable to the Operator’s own serious and wilful misconduct or gross and wilful neglect, or for any period of absence where there is an entitlement to Workers' Compensation.
(f) Xxxx leave is an accrued entitlement where the intent is to cover any future genuine illness or injury and accordingly will not be paid out on termination of employment.
(g) Any absence claimed by the Operator as a sick day that is not substantiated in accordance with Clause 11.1(d), will result in no entitlement by the Operator to payment for the period of the absence. This may be varied at the discretion of the Company.
(h) Days taken which are not substantiated as sick leave will be regarded as unauthorised absence and will result in disciplinary action against the Operator.
Entitlement and Accrual. The entitlement to long service is:- Long service must be "continuous service" as it is defined in the Long Service Leave Act 1958-1973. Each Operator will be given his/her start date of continuous service. In the calculation of continuous service for the purpose of accrual of long service leave, any time in respect of which an Operator is absent from work, except for time for which the Operator is entitled to claim paid annual leave, paid sick leave, long service leave and public holidays, shall not count as service or time worked. When an Operator has completed 10 years continuous service, the entitlement is 13 weeks paid long service leave. When an Operator has completed the next 10 years continuous service, the entitlement is another 13 weeks paid long service leave. Thereafter, at the end of each 7 years continuous service, the entitlement is 13 weeks paid long service leave.
Entitlement and Accrual. Entitlement and Accrual. Full-time and part-time Employees will progressively accumulate 10 days (90 hours) of personal / carer’s leave each year in accordance with the Act. For part-timers, paid leave is accrued on a pro- rata basis. Any personal / carer’s leave which is not taken by an Employee will accumulate without limitation. Personal / carer’s leave will be paid at the Flat Hourly Rate. Employees can apply to take leave up to 9 hours per day.
Entitlement and Accrual. Full time employees accrue 15 days (114 hours) of personal and paid carer’s leave for each year of continuous service. Part time employees have a pro-rata entitlement to personal sick and carer’s leave based on the entitlement of full time employees. Personal sick and xxxxx’s leave accrues progressively during the employee’s first year of service according to the employee’s ordinary hours of work. Upon the first anniversary of the employee’s employment and every anniversary thereafter, the employee will be credited with 15 days (114 hours) of personal sick and carer’s leave on the anniversary. Subject to satisfactory proof and notice being provided to the Company in accordance with this clause 29, an employee with sufficient personal and xxxxx’s leave accrued may take personal leave in order to care for or support a member of the employee’s immediate family or household who requires care because of a personal injury or illness or support because of an unexpected emergency.
