Extra Pay for Extra WorkThe District may pay extra stipends for extra work beyond the employee’s responsibilities in extraordinary circumstances as recommended by the manager and approved by the division head prior to the work taking place. Such approval must be reduced to writing and signed by all three persons.
Extra Pay for Extra WorkThe District acknowledges that extra-curricular activities are generally valuable to the student. The District, therefore, approves the concept of extra-curricular activities. Section 29.1. Faculty supervision for extra-curricular activities is not considered as part of the regular teaching contract. Those who supervise will be paid a supplemental amount in accordance with the adopted extra pay schedule. Section 29.2. Where possible, extra-curricular activities should be held outside the regular school day. Section 29.3. Extra pay is authorized when the job responsibility and assignment requires: (A) Service beyond the regular school year, and/or (B) Service on a regular basis during the evening, or Saturdays on which public performance are involved, and/or (C) An administrative responsibility which requires the teacher to spend three or more days a week at school at least one hour in excess of the normal hours required of a teacher.
Extra Pay for Extra Work. ‌ 1. It is recognized that employees normally engage in certain job related activities not specifically delineated in this agreement. Examples of such activities include, but are not limited to, ongoing curriculum improvement, integration of new technologies, faculty professional development, program or curriculum assessment, College and program promotional activities, customer service tasks, program accreditation, etc. Accordingly, upon application, each contracted employee shall receive the equivalent of ten (10) extra days pay during each contractual year at the employee’s per diem rate. In the event a contracted employee is hired after the start of the contract year, they will receive a prorated portion thereof. 2. EPEW cannot be earned in the month of June. 3. If requested by the appropriate SA, employees shall provide appropriate documentation regarding the utilization of EPEW time, including dates, times and the nature of activities accomplished. 4. Faculty members can submit for EPEW once each academic quarter, for hours earned in that academic quarter. The application and all documentation for EPEW must be submitted by the last day of the academic quarter in which the work was completed.

Extra Pay for Extra WorkThe Board and Association agree to the principle of equal pay for similar assignments. However, the Board and Association agree that the District may need and assign, by mutual agreement between the District and the employees, positions that require time and/or responsibilities in excess of that necessary for regular teaching assignments. As a result of the extra time and/or responsibilities involved, the Board shall provide extra compensation beyond the basic Certificated Salary Schedule for those members of the unit who have been assigned these duties.
Extra Pay for Extra Work. In addition to the salary schedule set forth in Schedule A, administrators shall be paid additional compensation for rendering special service. Special service shall be considered service when the administrator is working on study committees, curriculum committees, fact-finding committees, survey committees, and administrator committees that require extra attention that must be given during the administrator's vacation time. All such service will be voluntary and all arrangements will be made with the approval of the Superintendent of Schools. The compensation for work shall be paid to the administrator at a rate to be determined by the Board and the Organization. The Board recognizes the extra time commitment necessary for administrators who serve on negotiating teams in assistance to the personnel department. Therefore, the following stipend will be paid to administrators who serve as negotiators for the Board. Teacher contract negotiating team - $450; all other negotiating teams - $250.
Extra Pay for Extra Work. As stipulated in this Article, Extra Pay for Extra Work is for supervisory and instructional time spent with students outside the normal school day. Teachers shall not be involuntarily assigned to Appendix B positions. When Appendix B assignments are deemed necessary and desirable by the District, compensation shall be allocated according to Appendix B.

Extra Pay for Extra Work. ‌ A. As professionals, teachers are expected to devote to their assignments the time necessary to meet their responsibilities. It is recognized that the teaching profession carries with it many demands that cannot always be accomplished within the school day or school year. The intent of this paragraph is to identify circumstances when teachers may be compensated for work that is clearly beyond normal professional responsibilities. B. Employees who are requested to work on projects or committees for the school that have been approved by the Superintendent and meet at least two of the following conditions, may be paid: 1. The project or committee work occurs outside of the established work year; 2. The project or committee work is considered to be outside the teachers’ normal professional responsibilities; 3. The project or committee work involves more than sporadic or occasional meetings; 4. The project or committee work involves significant work by individual teachers outside of attendance at meetings. C. Teachers who are requested by an administrator to work on district-wide committees for which payment is provided will be paid in accordance with established procedures. D. Only employees formally requested to attend a Board meeting by an administrator shall be compensated at their per diem rate. E. The hourly rate of payment for work performed will be the employee’s hourly per diem rate.
