Extra Shift Premium. 1. A nurse will be paid a premium of $15.50 per hour for all hours worked in excess of the number of the nurse's regularly scheduled hours for the week, when such excess hours result from the nurse's working hours on an extra shift(s) of at least four (4) hours each in duration, (three and ½ hours if following the completion of the nurse’s regular shift) at the request of the Medical Center. Employees may split a shift as long as the total shift is covered. The following regularly scheduled hours not worked will also be counted for "hours worked" in the week.
Extra Shift Premium. When, at the request of the Department, an employee works a shift where he or she is not scheduled to work, and the employee has taken paid leave during the same work period, that employee shall be eligible to be paid at the premium rate of one and one half times the duty hour rate for time worked on the extra shift even if that employee has not worked over 182 hours in the work period.
Extra Shift Premium. Employees who volunteer to work Employer designated shifts shall receive an Extra Shift Premium six dollars and fifty cents ($6.50) per hour added to their base rate of pay for actual hours worked during the designated shift. An extra shift shall be defined as an employer designated shift that includes work time beyond a Bargaining Unit Employee’s regularly scheduled shift. This does not include shift trades between Employees. The employee will need to complete a written extra shift premium form made available by the Employer. Shifts that qualify for the Extra Shift Premium shall be clearly posted and marked as such. Employer may cancel the bonus shift designation within five (5) calendar days of the scheduled shift if the Employer is able to hire or schedule additional staff to work the shift at a rate lower than what would be paid through the application of an extra shift premium. In order to qualify for the extra shift premium the employee must work her/his next scheduled shift, unless the employee is unable to work due to an excused absence as defined by the Attendance and Punctuality Policy (Appendix D) or was called off by the Employer. Any extra shift premium must be offered to Bargaining unit members first prior to being offered to other employees or agency or Prestige pool employees.
Extra Shift Premium. 2 1. Full-time and part-time nurses will be paid at one and one-half (1 1/2) 3 times their regular straight-time rate of pay for all hours worked above the 4 nurse's regularly scheduled FTE except when there is a change of 5 schedule agreed upon by the Medical Center and nurse.. 6 Hours worked in determining eligibility for this premium will not include 7 hours worked as a result of trades; at the request of other nurses; or being 8 called back to work while on call. This section will apply only if the nurse 9 also works all of his/her scheduled shifts in the same pay period, other 10 than such shifts that were not worked because of a low census day or 11 because they had previously been scheduled as earned leave time off. 12 This premium will not be paid for any un-worked hours. This section 13 replaces all other premiums for working extra or unscheduled shifts that 14 may have been in existence before this section's effective date. 15 Once a nurse agrees to work an extra shift, the nurse is committed to 16 working that shift. If a nurse calls in unable to work during a pay period in 17 which the nurse has signed up for extra shift(s), the extra shift differential 18 will be waived for the corresponding number of extra shifts that the nurse 19 misses. Further, a nurse is required to use accrued PTO for the missed 20 shift.
Extra Shift Premium. Full time and part time nurses who agree to work 7 previously unscheduled hours shall be paid their time-and-one-half rate for all extra hours 8 worked, regardless of the total number of hours worked in the work week or workday. The 9 hospital may offer a nurse an additional $10.00 per hour for all extra hours worked to 10 encourage nurses to work hours/shifts that are more difficult to fill. Casual nurses who 11 agree to work previously unscheduled hours, with less than seventy-two hours notice 12 shall be paid one-and-one-half times the nurse’s applicable rate of pay for all extra hours 13 worked, regardless of the total number of hours worked in the work week or work day. 14 All extra shifts shall be so designated on the posted schedule. 1 APPENDIX B – ALTERNATIVE SHIFT SCHEDULES
Extra Shift Premium. The Hospital will pay an extra shift premium of $5 per hour to each full-time bargaining unit employee who works an additional shift beyond their regular scheduled shifts in a pay period. For part time and per diem staff such extra shift premium would be paid if the part time or per diem employee had already worked the equivalent of full-time hours in the pay period.
Extra Shift Premium. 13 Extra Shift Premiums will be paid to FT and PT techs who work extra shifts 14 beyond their regular hired full-time equivalent (FTE) status. They will receive five 15 dollars ($5.00) per hour added to their base rate for all straight time hours worked 16 in an extra shift. Open shifts will be posted with the final schedule for review. One

A nurse will be paid a premium of nineteen dollars ($19.00) per hour 15 for all hours worked in excess of the number of the nurse's regularly 16 scheduled hours for the week, when such excess hours result from the 17 nurse's working hours on an extra shift(s) of at least four (4) hours each in 18 duration, (three and 0.5 (3.50) hours if following the completion of the nurse’s 19 regular shift) at the request of the Medical Center. Per diem nurses are 20 eligible for the extra shift premium for shifts picked up during the same work 21 week in which they have already worked thirty-six (36) hours. Employees 22 may split a shift as long as the total shift is covered. The following regularly 23 scheduled hours not worked will also be counted for "hours worked" in the 24 week.
