Full-Time Teacher. A teacher who, being neither a teacher-by-the-lesson nor a part-time teacher, has a written contract of engagement under Appendix I-a.
Full-Time Teacher. A full-time teacher shall be defined as working at least an average 7 hours, 10-minute duty day.
Full-Time Teacher. For the purpose of this Agreement, a full-time teacher is defined as one who works eight hours per day, inclusive of lunch.
Full-Time Teacher a. The Board shall pay ninety percent (90%) of the premium for the teacher health insurance and seventy percent (70%) of the premium for dependent health insurance.
b. The Board shall pay ninety percent (90%) of the premium for the teacher dental insurance and seventy percent (70%) of the premium for dependent dental insurance. Dental coverage levels shall not drop below those in existence in the 2018-19 school year.
c. The Board shall pay the premium for a one hundred thousand dollar ($100,000) teacher life insurance policy (maximum payment by the Board shall be thirty-two cents ($.32) per one thousand dollars ($1,000).
d. The Board shall pay the premium for a disability insurance policy. The plan pays sixty percent (60%) of an individual’s salary up to a maximum of five thousand dollars ($5,000) per month.
e. Joint Insurance Committee (JIC). The JIC shall consist of three (3) teachers appointed by the President of the Union and three (3) persons appointed by the President of the Board or his or her designee. This shall be a standing committee with members reappointed annually. The purpose of the JIC shall be to investigate all aspects of the current medical insurance and other provider plans, including but not limited to the coverage, and the carrier(s). This may include the letting of bids to carriers different than the current ones. The JIC shall be provided with all available information to carry out its purpose, including all paperwork concerning committee and other meetings of the NIHIP group of which the District is a part. Additionally, one (1) member of the JIC appointed by the Union President shall be released with pay to attend any NIHIP meeting where future rates are expected to be discussed and/or decided. From time to time, JIC may make a decision concerning changes in the coverage, carrier(s), and other plan premiums for bargaining unit employees. Any such decision shall require at least five (5) votes. Such decision shall become an integral part of the Collective Bargaining Agreement to both the Board and the Union, and shall be subject to the procedure for binding arbitration contained herein; that is, ratification of the Collective Bargaining Agreement and this provision shall be tantamount to acceptance of any decision of the Committee as provided above. Full-Time Teacher. A full-time teacher may advance one (1) step for each full school year of employment, “full year” defined as 75% or more of full-time service in the preceding school year, until the top numerical step (non-career) of his/her training lane has been attained. Increment step changes for full-time teachers may be recognized on the salary schedule once annually at the beginning of each school year.
Full-Time Teacher. Will mean any salaried teacher employed by the District for at least the equivalent of a full school day and year under an individual salaried contract or any combination of individual salaried contracts.
Full-Time Teacher. All teachers who have 25 hours or more of student contact time a week shall be considered as full-time teachers, provided those teachers who were full-time at 22 or more hours in 1979-81 shall retain that full-time status.
Full-Time Teacher. For the purposes of this Agreement, a “full-time teacher” is a teacher under contract whose duties in the school system regularly extend for the entire basic school day.
Full-Time Teacher. A full-time teacher shall be defined as a licensed teacher under contract by the School District at .8 FTE or more.
Full-Time Teacher. 1. Any teacher assigned five (5) or six (6) subject‐matter presentations each semester (i.e., 10/12, 11/12, or 12/12 for the year), or ten (10) or more subject‐matter presentations per year, shall be considered “full‐ time”. Teachers designated as full‐time will receive full salary and benefits. Some benefit details are provided in the chart below. The Board retains the right to assign any full‐time teacher a combination of subject‐matter presentations and resource/lab/supervision as the needs of the District require; it being understood that the teacher load will not exceed six (6) subject‐matter presentations per semester, except as provided in Article IV.I. For purposes of this Article IV.J, a full period/block reading lab and a special education resource shall be considered a presentation.
2. Teachers hired nine (9) or less subject‐matter presentation per year are considered part‐time and salary and benefits will be pro‐rated as detailed in the chart below.
3. If the amount of sections assigned to a teacher changes after initial employment due to unplanned reasons, the compensation package will be adjusted accordingly effective the date of the change.
