General Labourer. All employees who remain in the "General Labourer" classification in excess of three (3) years, shall on completion of three (3) years be paid an additional twenty-five (25) cents per hour. Grinder Classification The Grinder classification will be in the Compounding Department and paid at the Material Handler Rate. Only future vacancies for Grinder positions will be posted. Retroactive to September 1, 1998 on all hours worked. The Electrician and Maintenance Skilled employees shall receive an annual $150.00 tool allowance. The Company agrees to purchase tools for Operators (initially) on the understanding that replacement of the tools is the responsibility of the Operator. Should the Operator leave the Company's employ for any reason, he/she shall return the tools, or pay for their replacement. Employees appointed to perform lead hand duties shall receive a premium of $0.74 per hour for all hours so worked. Displaced Operators (2011) The employees who were displaced from their operator positions and are now classified as Packers (General Labour) will continue to have their rates “red-circled” for as long as they remain in the Packer classification. They will be entitled to all scheduled increases. Employees posting out to another classification shall lose their entitlement to the red-circled rate from that point on, even if for whatever reason they return to the Packer classification at some point. Notwithstanding the foregoing, an employee in any of these classifications may not progress to an operator position unless he/she has first filled a vacancy in a General Labour position in the Production Department. General Labourer. Labouring duties including the operation of basic equipment, wing plow and vehicles such as light trucks, mowers, compressor, chainsaws, hand tools, etc. Equipment Operator 1 (light): All duties of a General Labourer plus the operation of trucks, plows, sidewalk plow, roller, tractor with mower, etc. Equipment Operator 2 (heavy): All duties expected of a General Labourer and Operator 1 plus operation of grader, loader/snowblower, tractor backhoe, street sweeper, bulldozer, etc. Employees may, at the discretion of the Employer, be temporarily assigned work in a higher Classification for training purposes. During such periods Employees shall retain their designated Classification. For these purposes temporarily shall be defined as up to four (4) months.

General Labourer. Shall be a capable, physically sound and mentally alert person who variously assists in the construction of the Company's facilities and does other unskilled work of a labouring nature. May be transferred from one job to another or from one Department or Section to another at will to facilitate operation, construction or maintenance. LEADING METERPERSON Shall be qualified as a Meter Reader, Xx. 0, Xx. 0 and No. 3 Meterperson, and will perform these duties when called upon to do so. Shall be able to effectively supervise the Meter Section in the absence of the Meter Section Supervisor. Shall be able to properly install special metering devices and equipment as used in company substations and switchboards. Shall be able to determine and specify instrument transformer ratios, meter type, determine meter multipliers and install the meter and associated devices for any type of load or service on the company system. Shall know and follow the Company accounting procedures regarding all Meter Section activities. The Leading Meterperson may be tested by written or oral examination to determine his/her proficiency and progress. JOURNEY METERPERSON Under the direction of the Meter Section Supervisor or his/her designated replacement, the Journey Meterperson is responsible for the installation and maintenance of metering on the Maritime Electric Company, Limited System. QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from an academic Grade XII program, must be of good character, in good physical condition and mentally alert. Shall have completed a meter training program approved by this Company. Shall be familiar with and understand the characteristics of all service voltages and characteristics used and installed by the company and shall be fully capable of properly installing any type of meter and associated instrument transformers and special metering devices and equipment as used on the company system. Shall know and follow the regulations of the Dept. of Consumer and Corporate Affairs regarding meter testing procedures and accuracies, meter installations and coding. Shall be familiar with the National Electrical Code, Part 1, rules pertaining to service entrance requirements and metering equipment. Shall be familiar with the latest approved Company General Regulations, as they pertain to metering, customer complaints, etc.

  • General Leaves When no other leaves are available, a leave of absence may be granted to an employee on a paid or unpaid basis at any time upon any terms acceptable to the District and an employee.

The Commercial Business Automobile Liability Insurance Policy shall provide not less than $1,000,000 Combined Single Limits for each accident. Additional Requirements for Commercial Business Automobile Liability Insurance are shown below at Paragraph 1.5.3.3.6.

  • WORKPLACE SAFETY AND INSURANCE 41.1 Where an employee is absent by reason of an injury or an occupational disease for which a claim is made under the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, his or her salary shall continue to be paid for a period not exceeding thirty (30) days.
