Jury Duly. Any employee covered by this Agreement who is required to serve on a jury shall, upon submission of proof of jury service, be paid the difference between his/her jury pay and his/her base rate of pay [not to exceed eight (8) hours per day] for the regularly scheduled work days lost while serving on the jury. Such leave shall not be deducted from sick leave.

Jury Duly. An employee called as a juror will be paid the difference between the fee received for such service and the amount of straight-time earnings lost by reason of such service. Satisfactory evidence of such service must be submitted to the employee's immediate supervisor. Employees who are called to jury duly and are excused from jury duty for a day(s) shall report to their regular work assignments as soon as possible after being excused. Excused Work Days. Each regular full-time employee and regular part-time employee on a pro-rata basis, with a six month's term of employment on July 1, shall be eligible for three (3) excused work days during the fiscal year with pay at his/her base rate. Jury Duly. Any employee with seniority who is called to and reports to jury duty (including Xxxxxxx’s Juries and duty required in connection with the Ontario Public Institution Inspection Act) shall be paid an amount equal to the employee’s straight time hourly rate, exclusive of shift, overtime, and any other premi- ums, on the last day worked multiplied by eight or the number of hours less than eight that the employee otherwise would have been scheduled to work for the Corporation on the day for which the payment is to be made less the daily jury duty fee (not including travel allowances or reimbursement of paid the employee by the court in which the employee serves. Any employee who is called to and reports for an interview or an examination to qualify for selection to a jury shall be considered to have performed jury duty and shall qualify for jury duty pay if otherwise eligible as herein. An otherwise eligible hourly employee who reports for jury duty service in accordance with the direction of the court and who is released by the court early in the day, is not required to return to work on that day to be eligible for jury duty pay for the day. This Section is not applicable to an employee who, without being summoned, volunteers for jury duty. HOURS Call-in and Call-back Pay An employee reporting to work on the Supervisor’s or management’s instructions but for whom no work at the employee’s regular job is available will be offered at least four hours employment at some other work at the employee’s regular hourly rate. This provision shall not apply when the lack of work is due to a labour dispute, fire, flood or other cause beyond the control of the management.

  • Jury Duty/Subpoena A. An employee shall be allowed such time off without loss of compensation as is required in connection with mandatory jury duty. If payment is made for such time off, the employee is required to remit to the State jury fees received. When night jury service is required of an employee, the employee shall be allowed time off without loss of compensation for such portion of the required time that coincides with the employee's normal work schedule. This includes any necessary travel time.

  • Jury Duty/Witness Leave The Employer shall grant leave of absence without loss of regular pay to an employee who serves as a juror, or is required by subpoena to attend a court of law or coroner’s inquest related to their employment at their employment at the Home, providing the employee:
