Office Space and Equipment. Unit members shall be provided office space. The University will try to provide individual offices; however, if an office must be shared, arrangements will be made to facilitate privacy. The desirability of providing each unit member with reasonably secure office space, with access to office equipment, secretarial services and a telephone is recognized.
Office Space and Equipment. The employer agrees to allow the Worksite Union Representative to utilize space in his/her work area for a file cabinet (provided by the Union) to protect the confidentiality of Union records. The Building Representative shall notify the Principal/Site Supervisor where and when this is to be implemented.

The Employer is committed to a system, which will upgrade hardware and software to Tier 1 technical standards on a three-year cycle and is moving to a system which will provide off-site access to email and associated systems. Non-standard configuration computer requests shall be dealt with on an individual basis by the Xxxx, follow procedures for “non-standard configuration requests,” comply with University standards regarding technical specifications, and be in keeping with reasonable financial and strategic plans of the University. In considering such requests, the Xxxx shall give foremost consideration to the role that the requested equipment shall play in advancing the Employee’s responsibilities as defined in Article 8.4 of this Collective Agreement. Such requests shall not be unreasonably denied.

UMS is agreeable to confirming availability of private space to hold confidential student meetings. Such space may need to be pre-scheduled to the extent there may be competing demands for the space. Those meetings which have an impact on students shall have scheduling priority. UMS agrees that faculty shall be issued computing devices upon hire. UMS will provide a computing device for day- to-day faculty responsibilities, consistent with the faculty member’s discipline, job duties, and University mission. Any disputes over the contract provision related to computing devices shall be the subject of a meet and discuss between the parties and shall not be grievable.
Office Space and Equipment a. Government equipment will not be provided to employees for the purpose of conducting union business. However, in cases where a Union official already has been provided government equipment for conducting agency business for their position of record and normal work activities, such equipment may be used for Union representational activities as defined in 5.5.a., provided there is minimal cost to the Agency from such use.
b. The Union will not be provided office space. However, in cases where a Union official already has an assigned space for their position of record and normal work activities, such space may be used for Union representational activities, as defined in 5.5.a., provided there is minimal cost from such use to the Agency.
c. Management will provide private space, as available, for confidential discussions between a bargaining unit member and a designated Union representative, when the meeting is held in accordance with the terms and procedures articulated in this Agreement.
d. Union officials are not authorized the use of any Agency space, equipment, communication systems, or other resources for organizational drives or lobbying.

Office Space and Equipment X DRS shall allocate costs among companies receiving service from it under this and similar service contracts using the following methods:
I. The costs of rendering service by DRS will include all costs of doing business including interest on debt but excluding a return for the use of equity capital for which no charge will be made to Dominion Companies.
A. DRS will maintain a separate record of the expenses of each department. The expenses of each department will include: 1. those expenses that are directly attributable to such department, and 2. an appropriate portion of those office and housekeeping expenses that are not directly attributable to a department but which are necessary to the operation of such department. B. Expenses of the department will include salaries and wages of employees, rent and utilities, materials and supplies, depreciation, and all other expenses attributable to the department. The expenses of a department will not include: 1. those incremental out-of-pocket expenses that are incurred for the direct benefit and convenience of an individual Dominion Company or group of Dominion Companies, 2. DRS overhead expenses that are attributable to maintaining the corporate existence of DRS, and all other incidental overhead expenses including those auditing fees, internal auditing department expenses and accounting department expenses attributable to DRS.
