Out of Classification Work. An administrator/supervisor will not assign out-of-classification work to an employee unless it is an emergency situation.
Out of Classification Work. Any employee who is specifically assigned in writing to work in a higher wage rated classification than that in which he/she is employed, shall receive compensation at the hourly rate for the higher classification which will provide a minimum of five percent (5%) increase in compensation. When assigned to work in a higher classification, the employee shall be compensated at the higher rate for a minimum of four (4) hours; after four (4) hours of work, compensation shall be made on an hour for hour basis.
Out of Classification Work. An Employee who is required to work out of classification covering a position assigned a higher classification shall be compensated at the rate of twenty percent (20%) more than the employee’s current hourly rate of pay. The higher classification pay rate is for covering vacancies and long-term illness, not for vacation coverage. In order to be eligible for this pay an employee must work ten (10) consecutive workdays. Higher pay shall be retroactive to the first day of assumption of duties.
Out of Classification Work. Employees required by the District to perform all or substantially all of the duties of a higher classification for five (5) days within thirty (30) calendar days will be compensated at the rate of compensation provided in the higher classification, at their corresponding step, for the amount of time spent doing out of classification work. District shall not rotate personnel for the sole purpose of avoiding out of classification pay.
Out of Classification Work. An employee who is assigned to work at a higher job classification for fourteen (14) or more consecutive calendar days, will be paid at the lowest increment in the range of the higher class which would provide at least a five percent (5%) increase in pay, subject to Commissioner approval.

Out of Classification Work. 19.1 Bargaining unit employees shall not be required to perform duties which are not fixed and prescribed for their classification, unless the duties reasonably relate to those fixed for the class, and shall be paid from the first day on in the performance of any out of classification work.

The Employer may require a bargaining unit employee to assume the duties of a higher job classification without an increase in pay when necessary for vacation, sick leave, or leave of absence relief or for emergency. If such relief duty is assigned an employee for a period in excess of five (5) working days, the Employer shall, starting with the sixth (6th) day of such relief, if 50% or more of the higher level duties are performed, pay the employee in an amount at least 5% higher than the employee’s normal rate of pay, such rate to be determined by the Employer in its sole discretion.
Out of Classification Work. A unit member assigned to another position or higher classification will be compensated at a higher rate of pay only if the employee completes one day shift/night shift at such position. Employees working at another higher classification will be paid at probationary rate of the higher class worked.
Out of Classification Work. 1. The Employer may require a bargaining unit employee temporarily to assume the duties of a higher classification for five (5) working days or fewer without an increase in pay whenever necessary for vacation, sick leave, or leave of absence relief, or for emergency. An employee selected by the employer may choose not to accept such assignment; provided, however, that if no qualified employee accepts the assignment, the Employer may require the bargaining unit employee of the Employer's choice to assume such duties.
