Overtime Allocation. Daily overtime within a classification shall first be offered to the most senior qualified employee within the classification who is working on the shift; provided however that an employee may be required to complete a project at the end of a shift to which he or she is assigned if no more than two (2) hours of overtime work is anticipated. If the senior qualified employee does not desire to work the overtime, the Employer shall repeat the above process with the next senior qualified employee on the shift within the classification. If no qualified employee in the classification on the shift volunteers for the work, the Employer may request volunteers from higher classifications, based on seniority, to perform the work. If no qualified employee volunteers for the work, the Employer can require the least senior qualified employee, within the classification, on the shift, to perform the available work.
(a) When scheduled overtime (work that cannot be covered by employees scheduled on the shift and known to exist at least 90 minutes in advance) occurs, such work will be offered to employees in the classification by divisional seniority who have signed the weekly overtime list.
(b) Where scheduled overtime that occurs for Service Lane Attendant classification and no employee in the classification signs to work the scheduled overtime, Management shall offer this scheduled overtime to employees that have signed the overtime list by seniority in the Utility Worker classification. If no qualified employee in the Utility Worker classification accepts the scheduled overtime, the work shall be offered by divisional seniority to other qualified employees who have signed the overtime list.
(c) If no employee in the classification, where the overtime requirement exists, has signed the overtime list or no employee that has signed the overtime list in the classification accepts the scheduled overtime, the scheduled overtime shall be offered by seniority to other qualified employees who have signed the overtime list.
(d) If no employees in the classification, where the overtime requirement exists, or other qualified employees who have signed the overtime list accept the work, the Employer will require the least senior qualified employee to perform the available work.
Overtime Allocation. Subject to operational requirements, the Employer shall make every reasonable effort to allocate overtime work on a fair and equitable basis among readily available and qualified employees.
Overtime Allocation. Overtime and weekend work shall be divided as equally as possible among the employees of the unit or building who are capable to perform the work available. A current up-to-date duty roster shall be maintained by the non-bargaining unit supervisor and the employees shall have access to it.
Overtime Allocation. All overtime work shall be offered in seniority order to the appropriately classified Employees in the reporting Lodge. For clarity, it is understood that all overtime call in shifts shall be awarded based on seniority in the classification. Employees may provide one (1) phone number to their supervisor for any call out overtime purposes. In the event that an employee does not wish to be called for additional shifts they shall advise their immediate Supervisor in writing.
Overtime Allocation. For all employees, overtime shall be defined as either continuation of the workday, scheduled overtime, call-out or standby.
(a) Continuation of the Workday: Continuation of the workday shall be defined as work being performed by the Employee on their scheduled shift that needs to be completed beyond the conclusion of that same shift. Overtime work that is a continuation of the workday shall be performed by the Employee or Employees performing the work at that time, on their scheduled shift.
Overtime Allocation. The union and the company agree to amend the overtime policy so that the overtime worked outside the department will be distributed according to the current provisions of the joint overtime policy. We also agree to amend the policy to require that: Employees working overtime on special projects not be called for regular overtime until all other people who normally perform the work in question have been called.
