Overtime Rates Will be Paid As Follows. A. Time and one half (1 1/2) will be paid for all time worked in excess of forty (40) hours in one work week. This clause is not enforced for any non‐scheduled emergency call‐in that otherwise might be affected by a scheduled paid holiday during that work week. In the event that an employee is assigned to work on a shift other than his/her regularly scheduled shift and there is a minimum off period of eight (8) hours, the employee will be paid straight time. If an employee is called in to begin working during the eight (8) hour off period, the employee may request to have this time considered as part of a regular straight time shift and if the supervisor agrees, this shall be granted. Authorized work 8 minutes or more of any 15 minute period will be paid for 15 minutes.
B. No employee will be required to take time off from their normal work schedule during the week in place of receiving any overtime compensation for any overtime hours worked.
C. Only actual time worked will be counted for the purpose of computing overtime pay.
D. Overtime premium shall not be pyramided or paid twice for the same time worked.
E. During the summer months management will consider adjusting to earlier shift times taking into consideration the needs of the district. Such adjustment may not include all bargaining unit members and may change based on the needs of a building or the district. Any dispute under this provision is not subject to the grievance procedure.

All overtime must be previously approved by an immediate supervisor or the Superintendent of Schools.

(1) work week, for which overtime has not already been earned. Mandatory overtime will be at time-and-one-half (1½) for all overtime hours, Monday – Saturday. Inservice time will not be paid at the overtime rate unless it resulted in an Employee going beyond a forty-hour work week.
B. Double time will be paid for all hours worked on Sunday when such hours are overtime. Hours worked on Sunday shall be considered overtime when more than five (5) days (full or part-time) are worked in a work week.
C. The Employer shall furnish the Employees covered by this Agreement a minimum of twelve (12) hours notification prior to the date that overtime work is to be scheduled, whenever possible, as to the need to schedule such overtime work except that weekend overtime offered with less than twenty-four (24) hours notice may be declined without charge against the Employee.
D. Weekend pool checks shall be paid at time and one-half (1½) for actual time worked, with a minimum of one (1) hour paid.
E. Time worked monitoring or adjusting computer controls off-site will be paid at time and one-half (1½) for actual time worked.
Overtime Rates Will be Paid As Follows. (a) Time and one-half (1-1/2) will be paid for all time worked in excess of eight (8) hours in a twenty-four (24) hour period, all time worked in excess of forty 40) hours in one (1) work week, for which overtime has not already been earned. Effective with the ratification of this Contract, any employee working on Sunday, other than his/her regular work schedule, shall receive double his/her hourly rate.
(b) Approved hours which have been granted as per this Agreement such as sick days, holidays, vacation days, and approved time, shall be recognized as time worked for the purpose of computing overtime.
(c) Administration will maintain a continuing building usage analysis and, in consultation with the Association, assign additional custodial coverage on an as needed basis. If a custodian is called in for or assigned weekend work, other than his/her regular work schedule, he/she will be guaranteed at least two (2) hours at time and one-half (1 ½) his/her regular rate on Saturday and double his/her regular rate on Sunday.
Overtime Rates Will be Paid As Follows. (a) Time and one-half (1-1/2) will be paid for all authorized time worked in excess forty (40) hours in one (1) work week.
(b) Time and one-half (1-1/2) will be paid for all hours worked on the sixth (6th) consecutive day when such hours are overtime.
(c) All holidays, vacations, sick leave, funeral leave and personal business days which are paid for under this Agreement shall not be counted as time worked for the purpose of computing overtime pay.
Overtime Rates Will be Paid As Follows. A. Time and one-half (12) will be paid for all time worked in excess of eight (8) hours in a twenty-four hour period unless the Board and the Union agree to a regular schedule of longer work days for a classification(s) (example: four ten hour days). In that instance, time and one-half (12) will be paid for hours beyond the regular shift. Time and one-half (12) shall be paid for time worked in excess of forty (40) hours in one work week for which overtime has not already been earned.
B. Double time will be paid for all hours worked on Sunday except as in E) below.
C. No employee will be required to take time off from their normal schedule of work during the week in place of receiving any overtime compensation for any hour worked.
D. All overtime work must have the approval of the superintendent or his/her designated representative before such work is performed.
E. No employee would normally be scheduled to work on Saturday or Sunday as a part of their regular work week with the exception of two full or part-time custodians. If a person is needed to work on either Saturday or Sunday as a part of a scheduled work week, the position will first be posted for bidding. Where the work week includes Saturday and/or Sunday, no premium amounts such as double time on Sunday shall apply. If bids are received, the Board shall award the position to the most senior employee making application. If none of the bargaining unit employees bid for the position, the Board may either hire an employee to work the scheduled hours or the Board may assign the lowest seniority employee within that same classification to work the scheduled hours. In filling vacancies for weekend custodian or any other position, the Board has the right to decide whether an individual may work in dual classifications regardless of whether the individual=s subsequent dual schedules would have no overlapping hours.
F. All paid work time shall count towards the calculation for overtime hours. However, paid sick leave and paid personal leave days shall not count in calculating overtime hours.

(a) Time and one-half (1-1/2) will be paid for all time worked in excess of eight (8) hours in a twenty-four (24) hour period or for all time worked in excess of forty (40) hours in one work week, for which overtime has not already been earned. Time and one-half (1-1/2) applies to both pay and compensatory time subject to the provisions of State of Michigan law.
(b) Time and one-half (1-1/2) will be paid for all hours worked on Saturday.
(c) Unless mutually agreed otherwise, no employee will be required to take time off from his/her regular schedule, or have his/her hours reduced as a result of having to report to work prior to the employee's established starting time, or because the employee worked over eight (8) hours in a work day.
(d) All overtime pay and/or compensatory time must have prior approval of the Administration. Overtime pay and/or compensatory time will be awarded in unusual situations when the employee is asked to work beyond normally scheduled work time.
