Plant Employees. The regular hours of work for plant employees shall be forty (40) hours of work in a week which, at the option of the Company, shall consist of either five (5) days at eight (8) hours per day, or four (4) days at eight and one-half (8 ½) hours of work per day and one
Plant Employees. The eight (8) hour workday shift shall be contained between 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Plant Employees. The Company will provide and launder, without charge, designated outer work clothing required by plant employees in the performance of their duties. It is understood and agreed that such clothing will be treated with proper care by the employee and will not be removed from Company premises under any circumstances.
Plant Employees. 14.01 The Company shall supply all tools such as knives and scissors and maintain the same in good working condition.
14.02 The normal lunch period shall be one-half (½) hour to be granted as close to the middle of the shift as possible unless otherwise agreed upon between the Company and the Union.
14.03 The Company shall notify the employees of the starting time for the following week by posting a schedule on the notice board on the previous Thursday. There shall be a fifteen (15) minute leeway on the daily start time. An employee will normally be paid from the actual starting time. If, however, the actual starting time is more than fifteen (15) minutes later than the posted time, the employee will be paid from the posted time.
14.04 When required, employees shall be allowed five (5) minutes to wash their aprons.
14.05 During coffee breaks and lunch hour, the Company agrees to provide coffee and tea for employees at no cost to the employees. When overtime is scheduled and a rest period occurs, the Company will provide coffee and tea and a whole sandwich at no cost to the employee.
14.06 It is agreed between the parties that a system of rotation shall be implemented as follows:
(a) The system of rotation shall be agreed by the majority of the employees in the particular department that will be affected by the rotation;
(b) The agreement of rotation must be in writing specifying the terms of the rotation and, further, all agreed upon rotation shall be made at coffee break or noon hour only or such other times as mutually agreed upon by the Union and Management;
(c) An employee bidding or transferred to an area affected by rotation shall be given a fair chance to train on the jobs affected by the rotation;
(d) All rotation shall be evaluated after four (4) weeks. If the rotation is approved by the Union and the Management then the rotation shall become a condition of employment;
(e) The job posting shall indicate that the position is a rotation area;
(f) Any employee who is not able to become involved in the rotation or chooses not to be involved shall forfeit his/her bid job and become classified as a Floater. The vacant position shall then be posted and filled in accordance with the terms of the Agreement.
14.07 The Union recognizes that the Company must take quarterly inventory and in order to insure the most viable cost efficient system of inventory to be taken, the Union therefore agrees that regular Freezer employees who are requested to count invento...
Plant Employees. Schedule 7.6(a)(i) sets forth a true and correct list, as of August 31, 2004, of the employees of Employer who work primarily at the Plants (the “Plant Employees”) and, with respect to each such individual (as applicable) (A) location; (B) job title; and (C) whether a Represented Employee or Non-Represented Employee. Except as set forth on Schedule 7.6(a)(i), none of Employer, Seller Subsidiaries or the businesses or operations comprising the Transferred Assets are parties to any employment or service agreements or arrangements with any of the Plant Employees or Non-Plant Employees.

The Employer will, at the Company’s discretion, provide the following: rain suits, rubber boots and rubber gloves, hard hats, respiratory protection, hearing protection and non-prescription eye protection to employees requiring these items in the normal course of their work duties. Plant employees with seniority status will be paid a yearly allowance of two hundred ($200.00) dollars each September 1st during the lifetime of this Agreement. Probationary employees will be eligible for this allowance upon completion of four hundred eighty (480) hours worked and the payment will be pro rata basis the date they attain four hundred eighty (480) hours worked. The yearly allowance is to cover costs of safety footwear and/or work clothing. The Company agrees to provide winter coveralls, work gloves, hard hat liners, as per past practice.
Plant Employees. The following thirteen (13) holidays will be paid for and continued during the life of this Agreement. The paid holidays are as follows: New Year’s Day Thanksgiving Day Good Friday Day before Christmas Victoria Day Christmas Day Canada Day Boxing Day Civic Holiday Day before New Year’s Labour Day Floater (must be taken in Family Day current calendar year) For plant employees who work a five (5) day schedule, if the holiday falls on a working day, the holiday will be observed that day, unless otherwise required by the Company to service its customers. If the holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, the holiday will be observed on the following Monday, or proceeding Friday, in order to satisfy the requirements of the customer and providing customers’ needs are met.
Plant Employees. A probationary period of sixty-three (63) days actually worked shall apply in the case of new employees before seniority commences.
