POSITION OBJECTIVES. The Reconnect Coach will proactively target referral agencies and use outreach strategies to engage with severely disengaged young people and vulnerable groups. • The Reconnect Coach will use motivational coaching methods to maintain engagement and actively engage young people in pursuit of their learning goals. • Reconnect Coaches will address vocational and personal barriers through individual coaching, mentoring and capacity building activities. These activities will engage young people in experiential learning to develop literacy, numeracy, learning and employability skills in practical, authentic and meaningful contexts. These may include; guided career exploration, trade/work tasters, work experience and coaching to obtain a Learner Driver Permit. • Reconnect Coaches will broker practical solutions to barriers such as transport, childcare and connectivity. • Reconnect Coaches will refer participants to specialist agencies as required for wrap-around support to address personal barriers, monitoring engagement, progress and outcomes. • KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Promote Reconnect to young people, schools, jobactive providers, Centrelink, TAFEs, RTOs, youth services providers and the wider community including parents and families • Responsible for the delivery of Reconnect to a case load of eligible at risk young people in the Maribyrnong Local Government Area. • Participate in weekly triage duties and Reconnect team meetings. • Achieve negotiated Key Performance Indicators. • Complete, monitor and regularly review Student Learning and Assessment Plan with individual students. • Cooperative relationships are established with parents, local schools, youth service providers, jobactive providers, local community groups, Xxxxxx City Council youth services, Brimbank City Council youth services, local businesses and Centrelink. • Cooperative relationships are established and maintained with other teams, programs and staff within Yarraville Community Centre. • Cooperative relationships are established and maintained with Learn Locals, TAFE and RTO’s. • Attend Maribyrnong youth network meetings as required. POSITION OBJECTIVES. The purpose of this position is to provide strategic and operational leadership in developing and delivering organisational and people capacity to meet the current and future needs of council. The position works collaboratively with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Directors and Departmental Managers to find solutions to often complex HR issues across a range of areas. These issues include: people and culture; recruitment; talent sourcing; performance and change management; organisational design; risk management; workforce planning; industrial relations; occupational, health & safety; diversity and inclusion, employee engagement; remuneration and gender equity. The position is also responsible for ensuring organisational people management policies reflect “best practice” and are applied consistently throughout the organisation and in accordance with state and federal laws. This position leads a team of five permanent staff (one direct report) responsible for the day to day delivery of HR services to an internal client base supporting approximately 200 (EFT) staff.

2.4 Provide support and debriefing to the 1800 My Options phoneline team during shift.
2.5 Contribute to the development and promotion of the 1800 My Options service through defined project work.
2.6 Contribute to identifying gaps and increasing knowledge and understanding of SRH through health promotion activities.
