Provincial. The Union and the Participating Hospitals will strike a joint provincial working group to collect data, review and/or establish research related to registered nurse staffing and will work to secure the participation from the Nursing Secretariat, the Nursing Research Unit (NRU) and the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care (MOHLTC) to share solutions with these bodies.
Provincial. The Employer shall grant a leave of absence to a member of the Bargaining Unit who has been elected to serve as a full-time officer of OSSTF at the provincial level. Such leave shall be granted under the following conditions:
(a) In a school year a maximum of two (2) leaves shall be available;
(b) The Union shall notify the Employer as soon as possible following the annual elections of any leave requirements for the following school year. Each leave shall be granted for two (2) years;
(c) Subject to the layoff and recall provisions of this agreement, upon return from a two (2) year leave, the employee shall be placed in his/her original position/location or a comparable position. For any leave beyond two (2) years, the employee shall be placed in a comparable position.
(d) The Union agrees to reimburse the Employer for the cost of salary and benefits for the time absent. Where applicable, benefits shall be deemed to equal seventeen percent (17%) of the employee's salary.
Provincial. The unit shall notify the Board in writing not less than thirty (30) days of any change in the levy.
Provincial. (a) A two year leave for Federation business shall be granted without pay to a Teacher who is elected or re-elected for a term of office as a full-time officer of the Federation; or
(b) A one year leave for Federation business shall be granted without pay to a Teacher who serves in a full-time capacity as a non-elected officer of the Federation.
(c) The leaves referred to in paragraphs (a) and (b) are subject to automatic renewal and may be further extended by the Employer for further periods of two years or one year, respectively.
(d) Upon return from a leave the teacher shall be placed in his/her original position in accordance with the right of return in Article 24.
Provincial. The OSSTF dues deducted in Article 9.01 shall be remitted to the Treasurer of OSSTF at 00 Xxxxxx Xxxxx, Xxxxxxx, Xxxxxxx X0X 0X0 no later than the fifteenth (15th) of the month following the date on which the deductions were made. Such remittance shall be accompanied by a list identifying the employees, their S.I.N. numbers, annual salary, the number of days worked, salary for the period, and the amounts deducted.

Provincial. At the request of the Bargaining Unit, the Employer shall arrange to pay a member who is elected to a position on the Executive of the Provincial O.S.S.T.

b) Union group: the Union des employés et employées de service, section locale 800 (UES) affiliated with the Québec Federation of Labour (QFL) Work period following a promotion.
Provincial. In 1994, the Province initiated a “One Window” process to review, permit and monitor mine-related projects. The general intent was to streamline necessary interactions between different provincial government departments and the proponent, to increase regulatory efficiency and to reduce jurisdictional overlap. The principal government departments involved include NSDNR, as the lead agency, and Nova Scotia Department of Environment (“NSE”), who provides leadership and direction for the required provincial environmental assessment process. Schedule A of the Environmental Assessment Regulations made pursuant to the Nova Scotia Environment Act categorizes “a facility engaged in the extraction or processing of -- coal--” as a Class I Undertaking. Such a project shall be registered; may be the subject of a focus report; terms of reference and an environmental assessment report. It may also be referred to the Nova Scotia Environmental Assessment Board. This submission is made in accordance with the requirements of these regulations.
