Regular Part Time Status. An employee may request to work part time hours for a minimum of 30 hours per week without affecting their entitlements to benefits (Article 12, 13). Vacation and Sick Leave entitlements will be prorated based on the weekly hours worked. Overtime eligibility remains based on the standard work week. The Company will review any such request, taking into consideration operational requirements. The Company may approve the request at its discretion which shall not be unreasonably withheld. Requests to work fewer than 30 hours per week may be considered at the Company’s sole discretion and may result in a reduction in benefit coverage.

(a) To work one (1) weekend in two (2) (If weekend work is required in that unit);

The County and the Union agree that employees in regular part-time positions within the classified service (as defined below) shall be subject to the following: Regular part-time position: A position in the classified service in which an employee is paid on an hourly basis for working a continuing, year-round work week of fewer hours than the established work week, but one-half (1/2) or more of a regular full-time work week, in the department in which he/she is employed. Amend Merit System Rule V (PROBATIONARY PERIOD) Section 2 (Length of Probationary Period) as follows: Appointments made from open or promotional employment lists to regular full-time and regular part-time positions shall be subject to a probationary period. With the approval of the Personnel Director, continuous temporary or provisional service prior to appointment shall be counted as part of the probationary period provided that the temporary or provisional service was in the same class and the same position to which the probationary appointment is made. Regular Part Time Status. 11.1. The County and the Union agree that employees in regular part-time positions within the classified service (as defined below) shall be subject to the following:
Regular Part Time Status. By agreement between the employee and Raytheon, the employee may be employed on a regular part time basis for a number of hours which - having regard to the various ways of arranging ordinary hours - shall average less than 38 per week. If the employee is so engaged the employee will be paid the employee's ordinary hourly rate, as defined in this Agreement. This clause does not prevent the employee from working more hours per week than are reflected in the employee's current schedule. Part time employees are paid overtime for all work in excess of 38 hours per week. Part time employees are entitled to annual leave and sick leave on a pro rata basis based on the average number of hours worked over the relevant 12 month period. If the employee is engaged to work on a regular part time basis, the employee will be entitled to participate in the Computer Purchase Program as set out in this Agreement. Part time employees will not be eligible for relocation benefits or JDFPG housing. Part time employees will be eligible for pro rata redundancy/ retrenchment payments based on the average weekly number of hours for the six months immediately proceeding the time of termination. 2. The compensation shall be a prorated amount of a full-time salary with a prorated share of medical, dental and vision benefits, and sick days.
3. A person who achieves regular part-time status in accordance with this article shall remain at that status for the remainder of the year under the same conditions as delineated in A.3. of this article.
