Rehired Retirees. The number of hours paid by a PERS covered employer to a PERS Tier One/Two retiree is determined by state law and currently may not total 1040 hours or more in a calendar year. The number of hours paid by a PERS covered employer to an OPSRP Pension Program retiree is determined by state law and currently may not total 600 hours or more in a calendar year. Rehired Retirees will be able to request current hours from bureau timekeepers. However, rehired retirees will be subject to the limitations and provisions of HR Administrative Rule 3.06 shall apply. Rehired Retirees at all times “At-Will” employees and the only Articles in the Collective Bargaining Agreement that shall apply to rehired retirees are Article 1: Recognition, Article 2: Union Security, Article 3: Dues Checkoff and Schedule A. 1.2.1 Any retiring employee in good standing who provides the Bureau sixty (60) or more days’ notice of their intent to retire shall be offered the opportunity to work as a Rehired Retiree for a period of at least thirty (30) days commencing immediately after their official retirement date. This opportunity shall not apply to any employee who retires under a Voluntary Retirement Incentive Program. “Good standing” shall be defined as an employee who has no documented discipline in the two (2) years prior to the date of retirement. 1.2.2 The City and DCTU agree that either party may terminate this subsection at any time for any reason upon thirty (30) days written notice to the other party.

Rehired Retirees. In circumstances where employees return to work after retiring with eligibility for retiree medical benefits, eligibility for coverage will be as follows:
Rehired Retirees. Rehired Retirees working in positions covered by this unit will be eligible to elect to waive future retirement accruals to the same extent that other rehired retirees in staff positions are eligible.
Rehired Retirees. A retiree who is rehired only benefits from the remuneration provisions stipulated in Articles 7, 8 and 19 of the collective agreement and the applic- able premiums or supplements.
Rehired Retirees. Retirees who are eligible to draw PERS or OPSRP benefits, who have applied for such benefits, or who are receiving said benefits, and are subsequently rehired by the City into a classification in Schedule A, shall be members of the bargaining unit. The only terms and conditions of this Agreement that shall apply are Article 1 – Recognition, Article 2Union Security, Sections 1 and 2, and Schedule BSalary Rates. All other terms and conditions of employment for Rehired Retirees shall be solely determined by the provisions of Human Resources Administrative Rules 3.
Rehired Retirees. Beginning the 2016-2017 contract year any member who retired under STRS and subsequently is employed in the district may be hired at a rate of pay different from his or her years of service as specified in the salary index contained in this agreement. Members will be paid at their academic training level at no less than three (3) years’ experience and employed on a yearly basis. If employed in consecutive years, they will remain at Step 3. All contracts will expire at the conclusion of the last contracted teacher day, unless the Board acts to renew the contract on or before April 30. All rehired retirees shall be evaluated according to ORC 3319.111, 3319.112, and 3319.114. This provision and such salary and individual contract provisions with a member expressly supersede ORC Section 3317.13 and all other applicable laws. While employed by the district subsequent to retirement, such member who is interested in obtaining health care benefits must opt for the health care benefits offered by the Xxxxx- Xxxxxxx School District or an outside source. Reemployed retirees must pay 15% of the total premium of such insurance. However, the Board will reimburse retired teachers choosing an outside source $1,500 per year. Additional benefits the retired member is eligible for include the Section 125 Plan, Life Insurance, and dental with the agreed upon premium sharing. Such retired member is not eligible to receive a severance payment upon leaving employment with the district, nor will he or she accrue seniority. This provision of the agreement and such salary and contract will not be grievable under the grievance procedures on this agreement nor through any claim or action filed before the State Employment Relations Board (SERB) or any court of law. Rehired retirees shall not exceed five percent (5%) of the bargaining unit.

Rehired Retirees. An employee who is hired after retiring from Kent State University employment shall accrue vacation leave at the rate according to the service accrued up to the date of retirement. All unused vacation will be forfeited at the time of separation. See policy 6-11.7 (4) for more information about vacation accruals as a rehired retiree. See policy 6-11.1 (F)(2) for more information about sick accruals as a rehired retiree. Rehired Retirees. The following terms and conditions of employment govern the Board of Education’s hiring of teachers who retire from any school district to service retirement with the State Teachers Retirement System of Ohio (herein after referred to as Rehired Retirees). A. Except as expressly modified herein, Rehired Retirees shall be members of the bargaining unit represented by the Maysville Education Association and shall be entitled to all terms, conditions, rights and benefits of the collective bargaining Agreement between the Association and the Board of Education. B. If the Board rehires a retiree, the Rehired Retiree’s salary shall be determined by the salary schedule in Article 15. C. Rehired Retirees shall serve only on one-year limited contracts of employment, which shall automatically expire at the end of each school year without the need for action by or notice from the Board. Accordingly, neither Article 7 of this Agreement nor ORC 3319.11 apply to Rehired Retirees.
