Seniority Calculation. Seniority will be calculated on the basis of calendar days of employment as a member of the bargaining unit during a period of uninterrupted service with the Corporation as a regular employee. Part-time regular employees will earn a proportion of calendar days in accordance with Article 4.06.
Seniority Calculation. Seniority shall be defined as an employee’s most recent period of continuous employment with the District in a position covered under this agreement (i.e., date of hire/rehire). If an employee changes job families within the bargaining unit, his/her seniority will stay the same. Time spent on unpaid leaves of absence or layoff shall not be counted for seniority purposes, however, such time shall not count as a break in service.
1. Employees who receive a temporary offer of employment with the District as defined under Article 3.2 who are subsequently hired into the position on a renewable basis will receive credit for the time served under the temporary contract (i.e., the employee’s date of hire for seniority purposes shall reflect the date they started in the temporary position). This provision does not apply to substitutes nor long-term substitutes.
2. For employees employed by a former member district as of 6/30/17, seniority accrued by the employee under the former member district shall carry over into the new District.
Seniority Calculation. Seniority and length of service for all purposes related to bargaining unit members shall be determined by hire date by classification for those unit members hired on or after July 1, 1989. Seniority for unit members hired July 1, 1989 shall be determined by hours in paid service. The agreed to seniority ranking for unit members hired prior to July 1, 1989 is included in the Seniority Roster.
Seniority Calculation. 5.7.1 Seniority for employees who work part-time will be calculated on the pro-rated basis.
5.7.2 Seniority for all other employees will be calculated on the basis of one (1) day's seniority for each working day.
Seniority Calculation. There shall be two (2) types of seniority; namely company seniority and classification seniority.
(a) Company seniority shall be determined by an employee’s last date of hire.
(b) Classification seniority shall be determined by the length of service within a classification. Employees shall have as accumulated classification seniority only that which was accrued in his/her classification as of 01-Jan-88. Thereafter all classification seniority shall be cumulative and maintained for all time in all classifications.
Seniority Calculation.
(a) When compiling a seniority list, the Employer will calculate the seniority of full-time employees by calendar year and part thereof. Part-time employees will be calculated by hours worked.
(b) It is understood that for the purposes of calculating seniority for part-time employees, 1950 hours will equal one year of service.
(c) Full-time employees will carry their seniority of 1950 hours equal to one year of service upon transfer to part-time status.
Seniority Calculation. 9.3.1 Classification seniority within each specific job category shall be based on length of continuous service from the date of employment in the school district.
9.3.2 If the years of total continuous service in the job classification are equal between two or more employees, then seniority shall be determined by total continuous service in the school district.
9.3.3 If the years of total continuous service in the District are equal between two or more employees, then seniority shall be determined by total service in the District, whether or not continuous.
9.3.4 If two or more employees remain equal after application of the factors set forth in Subparagraph 3) above, the employee having the greater seniority shall be determined by lot.

Seniority Calculation. Section 5.1 Seniority Calculation. Bargaining unit seniority shall commence upon an employees’ date of permanent entry into the bargaining unit described in Section 1.1 of this Agreement. Department seniority shall be defined as an employee’s length of continuous, full-time employment as a sworn officer with the Employer since his last hiring date. Last hiring date shall mean the date when the employee first reported for work as a sworn patrol officer for the Employer and assumes that they remain an active employee. Classification seniority shall mean the continuous time spent as a permanent (post probationary) employee in any bargaining unit classification of Lieutenant or Sergeant. No time shall be deducted from an employee’s seniority due to authorized leaves of absence, vacation, sick or accident leaves or demotions or layoffs due to budget reductions. However, employees shall not accrue seniority during unpaid non Family and Medical Leave (FMLA) or unpaid work or unpaid medical leaves of absence for over thirty (30) calendar days.
Seniority Calculation. Seniority shall be measured in terms of total compensable hours, excluding standby hours, since the most recent hire date within the bargaining unit. Hours not worked at the request of the Employer due to low census shall be included in the computation of seniority hours.
