Seniority Schedules. ‌ A. The seniority schedules shall be updated and posted tri-annually by the Authority. B. Employees hereunder shall have the right to protest positions on said seniority roster not later than fifteen (15) work days after the posting of any updated seniority schedule.

Seniority Schedules. A. The following definitions are for overall seniority and group seniority: 1. Overall seniority is an employee’s original date of hire with Chippewa Local Schools in a position within the bargaining unit. 2. Group seniority is an employee’s date he/she started in a specific group as noted in Appendix F. Employees may have more than one Group Seniority date due to job change(s) or because they have been contracted for two (2) separate jobs at the same time. 3. Breaking Ties: If two (2) or more employees have an identical hiring date, the tie will be broken by the employee with the highest last four digits of their Social Security number shall be deemed the most senior. This shall only apply to employees hired after July 1, 2008. B. The Board will post seniority lists in the month of September in all departments showing the overall and the group seniority of each non-certified employee each school year and furnish a copy to the Chapter President. Group Seniority shall run continuous in previously held positions for Reduction In Force for the bumping procedure. Current group employees will be given greater consideration for lateral transfers and/or promotions for the bidding procedure. Others may compete after lateral transfers and promotions are exhausted. C. Employees who voluntarily quit or who are discharged for just cause shall be considered as new employees if again employed by the Board. D. Employees who have entered military service shall come under the re-employment provisions of the Selective Service and Training Act and the Veterans Promotion Agreement. E. Experience gained by working any job on a temporary basis shall not be counted as seniority on that job.
Seniority Schedules. The Company recognizes seniority for regular and extra employees within each classification of the Banquet Department provided for in this Agreement. New employees shall be considered as probationary employees during the five (5) functions worked (fifteen hours) in their classifications. The Company and the Union recognise the need to maintain an adequate work force to service of varying and complexity. In order to retain such a force, separate hiring lists shall be maintained for regular and extra employees containing the name and classification of such employees. Consistent with the foregoing, the Company will schedule the available work to employees within their classification by rotation in order of provided that employees having been so scheduled shall be considered as having performed such assignment for the purpose of subsequent equitable distribution. Regular employees shall have priority in scheduling during non-premium hours. Work schedules indicating the day and function to be worked shall be posted in a mutually agreed upon location, not later than the Thursday of the week prior to that in which the day or function falls. Once an employee reports to work for a to which he has been scheduled, such employee shall receive a guarantee of (3) hours' pay, unless notified by the Company that his services will not be required on the day breakfast or lunch functions and six (6) hours prior to a dinner function. An employee, who three(3) scheduled work assignmentsin a thirty (30) day period, shall be considered as having employment with the Company. The foregoing shall not apply where the employeeprovides satisfactoryproof of sickness or accident.

Part-time seniority shall, at all times, be subordinate to regular full-time seniority for the purposes of layoff and recall. No employee shall be required to work more than three (3) functions on any given day. For part time employees, notice of a change in schedule that results in a reduction of hours of work must be notified at least two (2) hours in advance of the commencement of the breakfast or lunch shifts and six (6) hours in advance of a dinner function, otherwise the employee shall receive work for his scheduled hours, or pay lieu of work for three (3) hours at his basic rate of pay. For captains and porters, overtime at the rate of time and one-half of the employee’s basic rate shall be paid for all hours worked in excess of eight (8) per day, forty (40) hours per week and on the sixth and seventh consecutive days worked. For the purposes of calculating overtime, the worksheet shall from Saturday to Friday inclusive. For all other banquet classifications, overtime at the rate of time and one-half of the employee’s basic rate shall be paid for all hours worked in excess of forty (40) hours per week and on the sixth and seventh consecutive days worked.
