SICK LEAVE PROVISION. 21.01 Full time Employees will accumulate sick leave on the basis of one and one half (1 ½) working days for each month od services up to a maximum of one hundred and twenty(120) days.
a. Sick leave credits will continue to accrue for all Employees during such time as the Employee may be absent on sick leave paid by the Employer. Designated holidays and regular days off shall not form part of the illness period.
b. When an Employee is ill, she shall receive her scheduled pay from these credits.
21.03 An Employee may be required to submit medical information with respect to any period of time they may be absent from their duties due to illness/ injury. If a physician's certificate is required, the Employer shall pay any fee for such certificate which is not payable by the Employee's health insurance plan.
21.04 Where applicable, an Employee who transfers from full-time to part-time status may have their unused sick leave credits restored to them, should they rejoin the full-time staff without a break in service and retain credits for one (1) year.

SICK LEAVE PROVISION. An employee on weekly hire shall be entitled to the sick leave granted by administrative action to wages employees of the State Transit Authority of New South Wales. The entitlement shall not be less than one week on full pay for each year of service.
SICK LEAVE PROVISION. 34.1 An employee on weekly hire shall be entitled to the sick leave granted by administrative action to wages employees of the State Transit Authority. The entitlement shall not be less than one week on full pay for each year of service, except for those employees nominated in sub clause 34.2.
34.2 Employees who commenced on or after 1 January 2006 shall be entitled to the following sick leave:
(a) eight working days per year for up to five years’ service
(b) ten working days per year from five years to seven years’ service; and
(c) fifteen working days per year for over seven years service. For the purpose of the above a year is the period of twelve months from 1 January to 31 December in any calendar year

The entitlement shall not be less than one week on full pay for each year of service. Except for those employees nominated in 20 (ii).
(II) employees who commenced on or after 1 January 2006
(a) eight working days per year for up to five years’ service
(b) ten working days per year from five years to seven years’ service; and

SICK LEAVE PROVISION. 17.01 Sick leave means the period of time an Employee is absent from work with full pay, by virtue of being sick or disabled or because of an accident for which compensation is not payable under The Workers’ Compensation Act.
17.02 The Division shall provide full sick leave entitlement to a pregnant Employee who, as a result of her condition either before or after delivery, is unable to be at work and perform her regular duties for a valid health-related condition. The pregnant Employee shall follow current proof of claim procedures for sick leave entitlement as may be required by the Division.
17.03 An Employee shall begin to accumulate sick leave credit on the basis of two (2) days for each completed month of service, to a maximum of one hundred and twenty (120) days.
17.04 a) Sick leave is not payable to an Employee:
i. While engaged in other employment for wage or profit with another employer, except when such employment occurs as a result of a program of rehabilitative employment approved by the long-term disability insurance plan, or when such employment is an additional employment that has been concurrently held by the Employee and is one that is not incompatible with the Employee’s medical condition;
ii. Whose illness results from the use of drugs or alcohol and who is not receiving continual treatment and care from a licensed physician or in a recognized program of treatment for the use of drugs or alcohol;
iii. an Employee, who, in respect of an illness or injury resulting from a motor vehicle accident, is receiving wage loss replacement benefits from an automobile insurance plan to the extent that such benefits and sick leave exceed the Employee’s normal salary. In such cases where an Employee uses their accumulated sick leave the Employee shall reimburse the Division the amount of wage loss received from the automobile insurance plan and the corresponding amount of the Employee’s sick leave will be reinstated.
