STAND-BY COMPENSATION. Any employee who is required to be on call for immediate emergency response on Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays shall be compensated at two (2) hours of their total taxable wages, including 401 annuity. When such employees are called to perform service calls during the period of such stand-by service they shall be paid while engaged in the service call at the overtime rate of pay for a minimum of two
STAND-BY COMPENSATION.
.01 As an integral part of an Operating Engineer's position there is a requirement to serve stand-by assignments. During such assignments, the employees must carry a "paging unit" and must be available for call-in via "paging unit" or telephone.
.02 The payments for these periods of standby will be as follows: Monday to Friday 1 hour’s pay at the Engineer II rate
STAND-BY COMPENSATION. An employee placed on any type of stand-by through the authority of the Chief of Police shall receive forty dollars ($40.00) per day. Standby pay will be paid in whole day increments. Detectives who are assigned to work standby will work in one (1) week increments. The week of standby will be defined as Thursday at 6 p.m. to the following Thursday at 6 p.m. (equivalent to 7 days). However, if the detective is required to return to duty during the standby shift, call back pay will be provided for the duration of the call back assignment consistent with the call back pay provisions in this MOU. During the standby period the assigned detective is required to be: ready to respond to calls, reachable by phone or pager, able to return to work within 45 minutes of being called and is to refrain from activities which might impair their ability to safely perform assigned duties. Standby assignments are to be made on a rotational basis. The detective assigned to work standby for a given week is to provide as much advance notice as is possible when not able to work the scheduled standby shift. Requests to forego a standby shift must be approved by the Chief of Police or his designee.
STAND-BY COMPENSATION. 30.01 As an integral part of some employees' or sessionals' job responsibilities there is a requirement to serve stand‐by assignments. During such assignments, the employees or sessionals must carry a "paging unit" and must be available for call‐in via "paging unit" or telephone. The Employer will post the on‐call assignment lists for the Mechanical Trades Personnel and the Electrical Trades Personnel by January 15th of each year, for each year of stand‐by assignment of May 1st to April 30th.
STAND-BY COMPENSATION. 13.6.1 Maintenance, Information Technology Technician, and Network Technician workers who are on “standby” for emergency call back work shall be compensated at the appropriate rate of pay at two hours for every 24-hour period and one hour for less than a 24-hour period.

STAND-BY COMPENSATION. A. Any appointing authority may require an employee to be on stand-by. "Stand-by time" means a period of time outside a non-exempt employee's regularly scheduled work hours, during which the non-exempt employee is required, at agency direction, to remain available to the agency within a specified response time. Each non-exempt employee on stand-by shall be available at agency direction for recall to perform necessary work. Stand-by assignments shall be limited to work situations where a probability of emergency recall of an employee or employees exists. When the employer is able to contact employees by means of a paging device or cell phone, such employees are eligible for stand-by compensation if the employee is required to remain available to the agency within a specified response time.
B. Except as provided in subsection F., each non-exempt employee shall be compensated at the rate of two dollars ($2.00) per hour for each hour the employee serves on stand-by status.
C. Each non-exempt employee on stand-by who is called in to work shall be compensated for the actual hours worked at the appropriate rate of pay, but shall not be paid stand-by compensation for the hours actually worked. Only the hours actually worked by the employee shall be credited in determining eligibility for overtime compensation.
D. Time during which a non-exempt employee is restricted to a particular telephone number at a location designated by the employer, or to the employer's premises, in order to remain personally available to the employer shall be considered hours worked and the employee shall be compensated at the employee's regular rate of pay instead of receiving stand-by compensation.
E. Any non-exempt employee on stand-by or who is subject to the provisions of subsection D, who is not available when called, and who does not present reasonable justification for failure to report when called, shall lose compensation for that stand-by period and may be subject to disciplinary action.
F. Stand-by and On-Call pay for law enforcement employees as defined in 29 CFR 553 shall be addressed in supplemental meet and confer in accordance with Article 10.
STAND-BY COMPENSATION. Employees assigned as Detectives in the General Investigations unit shall be paid an additional $200 per week when assigned to stand-by in accordance with departmental procedures. Where an assignment is made for less than one week the allowance shall be pro-rated. Stand-by shall be defined as that circumstance which requires an employee who is not on duty and assigned by the department to:
A. Be ready to respond immediately to a call for service;
B. Be readily available at all hours by telephone or other agreed upon communication equipment; and
C. Refrain from activities which might impair their assigned duties upon call.
STAND-BY COMPENSATION. 52.01 As an integral part of some employees’ job responsibilities there is a requirement for stand‐by assignments. Stand‐by refers to the responsibility of a single, assigned employee to be on “stand‐by” to respond to emergencies of a specific type, after hours of work.
52.02 During times an employee is on stand‐by, the employee will be required to be available by pager or by phone and able to return to work in an emergency situation. The employee is obligated to be available and able to return to work in an emergency situation, within a reasonable period of time.
52.03 Employees on stand‐by are expected to respond to pages or contact with a call to the number paged within twenty (20) minutes of the initial page/contact.
52.04 Employees fulfilling stand‐by responsibilities after regular hours of work will be compensated at $0.70 per hour.
STAND-BY COMPENSATION. If an employee is ordered to remain on board the vessel during his or her free time for stand-by duty under Chapter 4, Section 6 of the Seafarers’ Employment Contracts Act or for some other related important reason, the employee shall receive for each hour or part thereof 1/260 of the guaranteed wage. Instead of stand-by compensation, compensation for work performed during the stand-by time is paid as overtime pay. The employer shall aim to notify the employees of stand-by duty well in advance before the end of regular working hours. If an employee is ordered to come to the vessel during his or her free time to perform a task, the employee shall be paid a remuneration that corresponds to two hours of overtime work on a weekday if the employee is not entitled to stand-by compensation under the provisions of the first paragraph above. If an employee is required to carry a pager or some other technical device through which he or she can be reached and called to work outside the working hours included in the guaranteed wage, the employee is entitled to compensation, as defined in the wage appendix, for each day he or she is required to carry the pager or device.
