Teacher Substitution. A teacher or substitute certified paraprofessional may substitute for a teacher outside of their current room assignment. The paraprofessional will be compensated at a daily rate equal to the then current substitute teacher rate for a full day (3.5 hours or longer) and one-half (1/2) the then current substitute teacher rate for a half of day (less than 3.5 hours). Payment will be made to the paraprofessional on the paycheck that covers the period in which the substitution occurred, as long as the substitute job is recorded in the substitute payroll system within the pay period of performing the substitute job.

Teacher Substitution. Teachers will not be expected to cover classes for other teachers who are absent unless an emergency exists which makes it impossible to obtain a substitute. However, in an emergency, teachers may be assigned additional students within the same department up to a maximum class size of fifteen (15) without qualifying for compensatory time. This assignment may be made, the provision of the Scope and Sequence language (Article IV, Section D), notwithstanding. Cluster Chairpersons will keep a record of class coverage where the number of students exceeds fifteen (15) and ensure that teachers who qualify receive appropriate compensatory time during the year. In the case of field trips or other educational activities which necessitate temporary coverage, the Cluster Chairpersons shall ensure that all teachers receive the appropriate compensatory time or lightening of their duties. Teachers who, as a result of senior dismissal, student activities, or field trips have their regular class assignments cancelled for a portion or all of a day, will report to their Cluster Chairperson for a special class assignment, curriculum work, or appropriate cluster duties.

COSTUME FEES A Showcase contract will be distributed in the first part of November containing full details of showcase participation. This contract must be signed and returned by December 1, 2017. Costume fees for the year-end dance showcase ($75 for classes designated as up to age 8, $90 for classes categorized as ages 9 and up) will be charged to your account on January 15, 2018. No costume fees will be refunded after this date. (Initial) Due to budgetary constraints, families may be asked to purchase additional accessories including but not limited to: a specific type of inexpensive shoe, earrings, etc. SHOWCASE FEES A showcase fee of $60 per family will be charged to your account on May 15, 2018. Each participating family will receive two tickets to the showcase and one showcase DVD. Additional tickets (as available) are $17.50 each and additional videos are $35 each. Tickets to the showcase will be sold on a first come, first served basis in late May/early June at the front desk. (Initial) There may be two showcases at the end of our 2017-18 school year. Families affected by having a student in both shows will be offered a “Golden Ticket” with their showcase package allowing passage into both shows for no additional charge. Students enrolled in multiple dance classes may end up being in both shows. While we will do our best to keep students to just one show, this very well may not be possible, particular with families having two or more students attending JAMZ. Teacher Substitution. A. Substitute teachers will be provided for all teachers who are absent, including special areas. Teachers are required to have lesson plans and class lists available for substitutes. Teachers may fulfill this requirement by making available a substitute folder in an easily accessible location which contains contingency lesson plans for at least one (1) day.

  • Substitution of Key Personnel Consultant has represented to City that certain key personnel will perform and coordinate the Services under this Agreement. Should one or more of such personnel become unavailable, Consultant may substitute other personnel of at least equal competence upon written approval of City.
