to December. ARTICLE UNION SECURITY It shall be a condition of continuing employment that all present and future employees of the Employer shall become and remain members in good standingof the Union. The Employer, however, shall not be required to discharge an employee who has been expelled or suspendedfrom membership in the Union other than for unlawful activity against the Union. The Employer shall deduct from employees covered by this Collective Agreement, the appropriate assessment for Union Dues as determined by the Union and owing by the employee to the Union, each pay day, and forward the monies so deducted to the Secretary- Treasurer of the Union not later than the fifteenth (I5th.) day of the month following, together with the names of employees added or deleted during that period who are subject to the payment of union dues as specified in this provision. The total deductions for union dues shall be printed on each employee’sannual statementof earnings from the Employer. It shall be the responsibility of the employee to keep the Employer informed of their current address. The Employer agrees to acquaint new employees with the fact that the Collective Agreement is in effect and with the conditions of employment set out in the Articles dealing with union security and dues deducted. A new employee will have the opportunity to meet with a representative of the Union for a period of up to a maximumof thirty (30) minutes within the employee’s first thirty (30) days of employment, without loss of regular earnings. The purpose of the meeting will be to acquaint the employee with such representative of the Union and the Collective Agreement. Such meetings will be arranged for new employees to meet collectively at a prescribed time by the Employer.
