TUITION REIMBURSEMENT PLAN. The Company will provide a tuition assistance program that grants educational assistance to employees that enroll in and successfully complete accredited courses with a satisfactory grade according to current company policy. The Company agrees not to change its policy during the term of this Agreement for this site and contract (See DRG Employee Policy Manual).
TUITION REIMBURSEMENT PLAN. Employees completing pre-approved courses that are job related, with the final grade being a "C" or better, shall be eligible for up to one hundred dollars ($100.00) reimbursement along with up to twenty-five dollars ($25.00) for books, in accordance with the provisions of the Section. The maximum number of employees receiving the $100.00 each year shall be four (4), with two (2) being in the fall semester and two (2) being the spring semester each year. Employees interested in being considered for reimbursement need to secure pre-approval prior to September 1st for the fall courses and prior to January 1st for the spring courses. Upon determining the number of eligible requests each semester, the Executive Director or designee shall conduct a lottery to determine the two (2) individuals who will receive the reimbursement at the conclusion of the course. Every reasonable effort will be made to conduct the lottery in advance of the scheduled courses. The total expenditure each year shall be four hundred dollars ($400.00). Courses will only be pre-approved if they do not interrupt an employee's regularly scheduled assignment. In addition, all employees will not be permitted to use their lunch hour or scheduled breaks to attend courses.
TUITION REIMBURSEMENT PLAN. On the Effective Date, Company shall assume any obligation of FDC or its affiliates to or on behalf of Affected Business Employees under the IPS tuition reimbursement plan, including (without limitation) the obligation to pay or make reimbursements for expenses incurred during 1996 with respect to any course of study commenced prior to the Effective Date. In assuming such liabilities and making such payments and reimbursements, Company shall apply terms and conditions set forth in the IPS tuition reimbursement plan and applicable law.
TUITION REIMBURSEMENT PLAN. The Exelon Tuition Reimbursement Plan will be provided on the same basis as it is provided to non- Union employees.
TUITION REIMBURSEMENT PLAN. A. To qualify for reimbursement, the course(s) must be directly related to the employee’s job. Approval must be secured in advance, in writing, from the Superintendent. Applications for Course Approval shall be submitted to the Superintendent prior to the dates listed below to ensure consideration of application: Effective with the signing of this Agreement, all new hires shall not be eligible for tuition reimbursement until completion of a year of consecutive employment. i.e. anniversary date.
B. Employees shall be reimbursed upon submitting an official transcript or proof of completion containing the titles of the course(s) and the grade(s) received, if applicable. Applications for reimbursement must be submitted with supporting documentation within sixty (60) calendar days from date of course completion to process and ensure reimbursement.
C. The employee must earn a grade of B or better in order to qualify for reimbursement, provided a grade is given. Employees will not be reimbursed for the tuition costs if they voluntarily leave the district or are terminated for reasons other than a reduction in force or job elimination. Employees seeking reimbursement must agree, in writing, to repay the Board in full if they leave the district voluntarily or are terminated for reasons other than a reduction in force within one year from the date of reimbursement.
D. An employee shall be reimbursed $1,800 per year for tuition paid to accredited institutions of higher learning for any approved courses taken, upon approval of the Superintendent. In no event shall the reimbursement exceed the actual cost of the course(s) taken. Employees who receive reimbursement from any outside sources, such as the Department of Veteran’s Affairs or scholarships, may still receive reimbursement from the Board according to the Agreement. However, the total of the amounts reimbursed by the Board and those reimbursed or paid by other sources shall not exceed 100% of the employee’s reimbursable costs.
E. Courses required for certification in the current position held, shall not be eligible for compensation.
F. Approved seminars and workshops shall be reimbursed for necessary costs.
G. Approval or disapproval is the sole prerogative of the district’s Superintendent or designee(s).
H. PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN – Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapists/Assistants – Procedure.
TUITION REIMBURSEMENT PLAN. A. The Board shall pay the prevailing graduate rate per credit hour at Rowan College for no more than six (6) credit hours per employee per school year. In order to assure reimbursement, employee must complete and submit the form titled “Prior Approval of Course for Tuition Reimbursement” to the Superintendent for approval before beginning the course. Approval by the Superintendent will be in accordance with the criteria listed below.
1. This Article shall not apply to any employee who holds an emergency or provisional certificate in his subject area of assignment.
2. Expenses to be reimbursable to the employee upon successful completion of the course.
3. Courses must be taken at a college accredited for certification by the New Jersey State Department of Education.
TUITION REIMBURSEMENT PLAN. 47.01 An employee who wishes to take a course may be entitled to reimbursement in accordance with Article 47.02, provided that the Employer approves the course in advance and provided that the employee provides proof of successful completion.
(a) If the course is related to his/her job function, reimbursement shall be 100% for the cost of fees and required course materials; or
(b) if the course enhances an employee’s skills, but is unrelated to his/her job function, reimbursement shall be 50% for the cost of fees and required course materials; and
(c) the Employer will make the determination as to whether or not the course is job- related or otherwise enhances an employees skills.
TUITION REIMBURSEMENT PLAN. As an employee of the Company, employees are eligible to receive tuition assistance after they successfully completes their probationary period. The maximum allowance of tuition assistance provided to an employee is $1,500 per calendar year. This plan applies to undergraduate and graduate courses. Courses must be pre-approved as appropriate to enhance the current or future contributions to the Company. Reimbursement will not be made for textbooks or other costs not classified as tuition costs. To be eligible for tuition reimbursement, the employee must submit a receipt for the class or classes and documentation that indicates he was awarded a passing grade for the class. An employee that fails a class, receives an incomplete (and does not later receive a passing grade), or withdraws from a class without Company approval, will not be reimbursed for tuition. In exchange for this benefit, employees are committed to continued employment for a minimum of one (1) year from course completion. If employee voluntarily resigns within this period, Company will recoup the tuition reimbursement monies from his last paycheck.
TUITION REIMBURSEMENT PLAN. The Association shall receive tuition, fees and material reimbursement for the purpose of reimbursing Association members for professional growth in their respective assignments through satisfactory completion of college graduate courses, workshops and conferences. All tuition reimbursed for college graduate courses shall be at the State (Rutgers) University rate, reimbursement shall occur upon successful completion of the course or workshop, and shall be preapproved by the Superintendent. The Association member must demonstrate a grade of “B” or better or a “pass” for a pass-fail course before reimbursement is given. The amount of monies to be refunded to an Association member having satisfactorily completed such courses, workshops and conferences shall be at the discretion of the Association, but in no event shall it exceed the costs of the course, workshop or conference. Said reimbursement is as follows for the duration of the contract: • 2008-2009; $6,000, • 2009-2010; $6,250, and, • 2010-2011, $6,500. In the event the said sum is not expended in any one (1) year, the appropriation will terminate for that year.
TUITION REIMBURSEMENT PLAN. 40,01 An employee who successfully completes a course related to his/her job function, shall be reimbursed for one hundred (100%) for the cost of tuition and required texts with the prior written approval of the Manager.
