UNIFORMS, PROTECTIVE CLOTHING & EQUIPMENT. 22.1 In accordance with the Health and Safety in Employment Act and associated Regulations, the Employer shall ensure that employees are provided with any protective equipment required to ensure the safety of employees while at work. The maintenance and replacement of this equipment is the responsibility of the Employer.
22.2 Suitable protective clothing shall be made available by the Employer where the nature of a particular duty or duties would either continuously or intermittently render an employee’s personal clothing or uniform to excessive soiling or damage or expose the employee’s person to injury or excessive discomfort through biological, chemical or physical hazards. Such protective clothing shall remain the property of the Employer, and, as such, shall be laundered or otherwise cleaned free of charge.
22.3 Where the employer requires an employee to wear a specified uniform, or where the nature of the work requires the wearing of protective or work clothing, sufficient sets of the specified uniforms, protective or work clothing will be supplied to each employee and will subsequently be laundered and maintained by the employer subject to fair wear and tear in the service of the employer.
22.4 An employee may at the Employer’s discretion be compensated for damage to personal clothing worn on duty, or reimbursed dry cleaning charges for excessive soiling to personal clothing worn on duty, provided the damage or soiling did not occur as a result of the employee’s negligence or failure to wear the protective clothing provided.
22.5 Where an employee is required to change from their protective or work clothing prior to leaving the employer’s premises, sufficient time will be allowed on duty at the end of each work day or shift to change clothing.
UNIFORMS, PROTECTIVE CLOTHING & EQUIPMENT. 32.01 The Employer shall supply each employee in the bargaining unit with shirts and aprons to wear during working hours. The Employer shall replace these shirts and aprons on an ongoing basis as the need arises. The employees shall be responsible for laundering and maintaining their own shirts and aprons.
32.02 The Employer shall supply a lockable space for employees for the purposes of storing personal belongings.

17.1 Where the employer requires an employee to wear a uniform, it shall be provided free of charge, but shall remain the property of the employer.
17.2 Suitable protective clothing, including foot/ eye/ hearing protection, shall be provided at the employer's expense where the duty involves a risk of excessive soiling or damage to uniforms or personal clothing or a risk of injury to the employee. Note that the foot protection above includes the employer’s instruction that the employee wear specific shoes for infection control purposes. Where the employer and employee agree, the employee may purchase appropriate protective clothing/footwear/ prescription eyewear and the employer will reimburse actual and reasonable costs.
UNIFORMS, PROTECTIVE CLOTHING & EQUIPMENT. 30.01 The Employer shall provide uniforms to staff when needed and pay for dry cleaning services on any that require same. The uniforms shall be replaced when necessary due to normal wear and tear. Kitchen employees shall each be supplied jackets (2 for full-time) and aprons.
30.02 When employees are required to wear a uniform the employer agrees that it will supply two (2) uniforms to each full time employee & one (1) uniform to each part time employee at the employer’s expense. Uniforms will include tops and pants. Notwithstanding the paragraph above, employees in the restaurant will only receive tops as per current practice.
30.03 If and whenever the employer supplies a washable uniform, the employee shall be required to launder, repair, and at times take reasonable care to maintain the quality of uniform as may be designated from time to time by the employer, at the employee’s expense for cleaning. Kitchen staff shall be able to utilize the laundry services of the hotel for laundering of their uniforms.
30.04 The Employer shall supply each employee who requires same with all the necessary protective clothing and/or equipment that is required by the employee during working hours.
UNIFORMS, PROTECTIVE CLOTHING & EQUIPMENT. The Company agrees to supply, clean and maintain all work clothing, including uniforms, hairnets, hardhats and gloves as deemed appropriate by the Labour/Management Committee. In addition, zero room employees will be supplied two

16.3 Where the employer supplies uniforms, protective clothing and safety wear (footwear, eye protection, gloves, etc), it shall remain the property of the employer and shall be laundered or otherwise cleaned free of charge, and replaced on a fair wear and tear basis. These items will be supplied free of charge to the individual employee.

UNIFORMS, PROTECTIVE CLOTHING & EQUIPMENT. 35.01 The Employer shall provide ear plugs, safety glasses, safety vests, leather and/or rubber gloves (as required), parkas (for employees in Outdoor Material Handling), disposable whites and hard hats to employees who are required to utilize such items. The Employer shall replace these items on an ongoing basis as the need arises. The Employer agrees to consider any request for additional safety equipment made by the Safety and Health Committee and such request(s) shall not be unreasonably denied.
35.02 Upon the employee providing the Employer with an original receipt for the purchase of safety boots (multiple pairs during the year if applicable) or protective clothing/equipment as listed above, the Employer shall reimburse the employee for the cost of such items, up to a maximum of two hundred and twenty-five ($225.00) dollars per calendar year. For employees working in outdoor material handling, the annual protective/clothing equipment allowance shall be two hundred and fifty ($250.00) dollars per calendar year.
