Witness and Jury Duty. 29.01 An employee who has been excused from a regular work assignment because of jury duty, or to act as a witness in Court under subpoena, shall be granted pay at his basic rate (or for a Part-Time employee at his pro- rata proportion of the basic rate) for the necessary absence from duty. An employee acting as a voluntary witness or who is otherwise involved as a party in the case shall not be paid for any absence occasioned thereby.
Witness and Jury Duty. An Employee who has been subpoenaed to appear in Court as a witness or a juror on a working day, during their regular hours of work, shall be allowed the required time off without loss of pay at their regular rate of pay, provided that any wage replacement or conduct money, exclusive of traveling expenses, paid to the Employee for such an appearance is given to the Employer. The Employee is responsible to provide proof for payroll.
Witness and Jury Duty. The Employer will continue to pay the regular wages of a Nurse who is scheduled to work, who is called for jury duty or required to appear as a witness for the Crown provided that the Nurse forwards all witness or jury fees other than for expenses to the Employer. In order to be eligible for payment, Nurses must notify the Program Manager within twenty-four (24) hours of receiving the summons and must furnish proof of the date and time served and the amount of pay received.
Witness and Jury Duty. A. Professional Employees who present a court subpoena or summons to the Vice-President of Instruction shall be granted a leave with pay to serve as a witness or on a jury.
Witness and Jury Duty. 21.01 The Company will indemnify employees against loss of pay and benefits for regularly scheduled shifts on account of absence due to jury duty or witness duty (in cases where the employee is under subpoena in court proceedings), and any employee so indemnified will, in turn, remit any fees received on account of such service as a juror or witness to the Company.
Witness and Jury Duty. When an employee is called to serve as a juror or is subpoenaed as a witness, they shall be compensated for the difference between the payment received for such jury or witness duty, and the payment they would have received at their basic hourly rate, unless such duty payment is the greater of the two. Employees are required to return to work on those regular work days where attendance is not required at the courts or where only a portion of the day is spent serving as a juror or witness, providing there is 1-1/2 hours or more remaining in their tour of duty. In any event, no employee shall be expected to work more than the combined total of hours included in their normal work day, except in the case of necessary overtime.
Witness and Jury Duty. A full-time employee who is summoned for jury duty or subpoenaed to testify as a witness in an employment related matter shall be granted a leave of absence with full pay, less the amount received by the employee for such service. A full-time employee who is subpoenaed to testify as a witness in a non-employment related matter will be granted a leave of absence, but will be required to use annual leave, or compensatory time for their absence, if available; otherwise the leave of absence shall be without pay.
Witness and Jury Duty. A faculty member may be absent to appear in court as a jury member or as a witness in a criminal court action.
Witness and Jury Duty. (a) All regular shift hours lost by an employee due to necessary attendance on jury duty or acting as a witness at any court proceeding arising out of his employment or subpoenaed as a witness or in any circumstances while operating or travelling in the Company's vehicle, shall be paid for by the Company at a rate of pay applicable to said employee unless the employee is found negligent by the Court of a quasi- judicial body and that any court or other reimbursement be credited to the Company.

All monies received as witness fees or pay for jury duty must be signed over to the City when compensation is claimed.
