Court Duty Leave. Any teacher who is called for jury duty or is a subpoenaed court witness shall receive a leave of absence to fulfill his/her civil obligation. The teacher will be paid the difference between his/her full pay as a teacher and compensation for jury duty or as a witness. Evidence of both services and remuneration is to be provided by the teacher. Court duty leave does not apply to employees who have a need to appear in court for personal matters or because of litigation against the school corporation.
Court Duty Leave. 7.13.1. Unit members shall be granted full paid leave to serve as a juror, a court witness or litigant upon being so summoned.
Court Duty Leave. Any employee who is required to appear in court as a juror or as a subpoenaed witness shall be paid his/her regular pay while so engaged, unless the court duty is the result of litigation undertaken by the employee or the Union against the Employer. Any fees that the employee shall receive from the court for such service shall be paid to the Employer. Any employee, who is scheduled to work a shift other than the normal daytime shift, shall be rescheduled to work the normal daytime shift during such time as he/she is required to appear in court as a juror or witness.

Employees serving on court duty will be assigned Court Duty leave. Employees shall receive court fees in addition to regular pay.

Court Duty Leave. The Board will grant duty leave with pay to members of the instructional staff who are summoned by a subpoena to serve as a member of a jury or as a witness. Any expense money paid by the court shall be accepted and retained by the employee.
Court Duty Leave. Any educational assistant who is duly subpoenaed as a witness in any case in court shall be entitled to leave with pay for that purpose provided that the employee is not a party in the case, and provided that the case is not the result of litigation undertaken by the employee or the Federation against the District. In cases where the Board is a party in the litigation, the employee shall be entitled to pay while attending as a witness at the request of the Board or as a co-defendant in the case.
Court Duty Leave. 18.01 A leave of absence shall be granted to House Crew employees who are called for jury duty or who is subpoenaed as a witness in a court proceeding. The University will pay the employee the difference between the employee's regular wages for the lost time and any payment received from the court, excluding payment for travel, meals, or other direct expenses. Such payment is contingent on the employee providing his/her administrative director or academic xxxx with satisfactory proof of attendance in court. When the court session is held within the Regional municipality of Waterloo and the employee is not required in court, he/she shall report to work as soon as possible.

A bargaining unit member shall be entitled to leave with pay, less any fees paid, for jury service or when subpoenaed as a witness in which the bargaining unit member is not a part of the litigation, provided, however, if the Employer determines that the absence of a bargaining unit member will materially interfere with the instructional program, the Employer shall have the right to request that the bargaining unit member be excused or have such service rescheduled to a time which does not conflict with the discharge of his/her professional responsibilities. Jury Service shall be considered a civic obligation in which the bargaining unit member when called upon to participate has limited control. The bargaining unit member shall be paid his/her regular compensation without deduction of leave days. Any attendance fees paid will be submitted to the District. In the instance when the bargaining unit member is excused from reporting by the evening prior to a school day, the bargaining unit member will notify his/her building principal and report to school. In all other instances, whether reporting to the court or not, the bargaining unit member will be fulfilling his/her obligation to the court and need not report to school.
