CALL IN AND REPORTING PAY. 8.01 Any employee reporting for work shall be guaranteed a full days' pay, except in the event of: employees own lateness; voluntary leaving before the end of the shift; short shifts to share the work. 8.02 Any employee injured while working on the job and requiring medical attention and therefore, unable to finish his/her day's work shall be paid for a full day. 8.03 An employee called back to work shall be paid for a minimum of three (3) hours at his/her applicable overtime hourly wage. Call back for the purposes of this clause shall be defined as an employee having completed a shift and having left the plant. 8.04 It is agreed that when overtime that has been scheduled for a Saturday, Sunday or a holiday is cancelled after the employees so scheduled have left the plant, the firm shall pay the employees involved an amount equal to three (3) hours wages at one and one half (1-1/2) times his/her regular pay.

CALL IN AND REPORTING PAY. (a) Employees who report to work at the direction of the Employer, or his agents, and are not placed at work, shall be entitled to two (2) hours’ pay at the established rate, unless weather and other conditions are beyond the control of the Employer. The employer shall make a reasonable attempt, before the start of the shift, to notify employees of any work stoppage. (b) Employees called out for part-time work shall receive a minimum of four (4) hours’ pay at the estab- lished rate. (c) The Employer shall pay the Employee full wages in the event that the employee is ordered to remain at, or to be ready to continue at work on a given job, when normal progress is interfered with due to inclement weather, breakdowns, or other delays beyond the control of the Employers.

Any employee for whom no work is provided, shall receive not less than two (2) hours pay at the regular straight time hourly rate, but not less than four (4) hours pay at the regular straight time hourly rate for employees who commence work, and straight time hourly pay for the actual hours worked exceeding four (4) hours. This provision shall not apply where the employee is provided with notice of no work prior to the completion of the previous day’s shift. 2. Whenever minimum-reporting pay is provided for employees, they will be required to remain at the Project site available for work for such time that they receive pay, unless released sooner by the Employer. 3. The provisions of this Paragraph are not applicable where the employee voluntarily quits or lays off or is out by reason of a strike, or as provided within this Paragraph, in which case the employee shall be paid for the actual time worked.

It is agreed that nurses on staff as of ratification of this agreement shall not be ‘forced’ to work such a shift, however they may accept a posting to and/or assignment and/or transfer to such a shift.

Call-In -107 An employee reporting for emergency duty at the Employer's request for work which he/she had not been notified of in advance and which is outside of and not continuous with his/her regular work period, shall be guaranteed at least three (3) hours pay and three (3) hours work at the rate of time-and one-half. This paragraph shall apply when an employee is contacted away from the workplace for unscheduled emergency duty. An employee contacted away from the work place and who begins work within three (3) hours of a regular shift starting time shall receive the full three hours call-in pay at time-and-one-half. When an employee has arrived at the workplace for a regularly scheduled shift and is then assigned to begin work early, this paragraph does not apply. If the employee is assigned to begin work early also completes the regular schedule of work, then the employee will be paid for actual time worked before the start of the regular shift at time-and-one-half, or a one-half-hour minimum at time-and- one-half, whichever is greater.

When Employees report to work (except for weather or conditions beyond the control of the Employer) and are not given the opportunity to work because none is available or were not notified before the completion of the previous day's work they shall be paid two (2) hours' reporting time. If an Employee shall stop work for reasons of his own, without the approval of the company representative, he shall be entitled to pay only for the hours actually worked in the day. 2. Any Employee who has been hired or promised a job by the Employer, either directly or through the Union referral system, and is refused employment upon reporting to work, with his tools, shall receive two (2) hours' pay for that day. 3. When an Employee, upon completing his shift and having left the jobsite premises, is notified by telephone or any other method of notification that he is laid off, he shall be paid two (2) hours of straight-time pay for pick up of tools, provided tools were left on the jobsite.
