District Commitment. In recognizing the importance of retaining highly qualified teachers, a teacher remaining with the School District for a period of 5 years will receive a 1-time salary adjustment added to his/her base pay beginning in his/her 6th year in the amount of $1,000. Teachers who remain in the School District for a period of 10 years and who have qualified for additional compensation under Subd. 1 or 2 above, or Section 4, Subd. 4 and 5 below, during this period of time will receive a 1-time salary adjustment added to his/her base pay beginning in his/her 11th year in the amount of $1,000. Teachers who remain in the School District for a period of 15 years and who have qualified for additional compensation under Subd. 1 or 2 above, or Section 4, Subd. 4 and 5 below, during the previous 5 years will be entitled to a 1-time lump-sum payment in the amount of $1,100 at the completion of their 15th year said compensation awarded by October 1 in the following school year. Those teachers who remain in the School District for a period of 20 years or more and who have qualified for additional compensation under Subd. 1 or 2 above, or Section 4, Subd. 4 and 5 below during the previous 5 years, shall be entitled to receive a one-time lump-sum payment in the amount of $1,200 at the end of their 20th year and each successive 5-year period said compensation awarded by October 1 in the following school year.
District Commitment. The District agrees to provide all incoming ninth grade students beginning with the 2017-2018 school year with a rigorous program of studies and support which will provide them with an opportunity to meet the admission requirements for entrance into APU upon graduation from high school without need for remedial courses. Working with APU, the following benchmarks will be used by the District and communicated to students:  Continuous enrollment in the Monrovia Unified School District for four years.  Completion of all A-G coursework required by APU admission policies.  If not exempt, participation in and successful completion of the Early Assessment Program in their junior year (11th grade) in Mathematics and English or successful completion of additional coursework designed to build the appropriate skills and knowledge as approved by APU.  Submission of the SAT Reasoning or ACT Exam for applying students. For students who earn a 3.5 unweighted GPA or higher, a test optional admission alternative may be offered.  Submission of APU application during the application filing period to be completed by February 15th.  Submission of final transcripts, letter of recommendation and other required documents by the specified deadlines.  If admitted, submission of their confirmation/ deposit form by the deadline May 1st.  If admitted, attendance at a registration event scheduled in June or July followed by new student orientation as scheduled by APU. The District will support the attainment of these benchmarks with an enhanced program including the following:  A clear statement of academic expectations to students, staff, parents, and the community for ninth grade and each year thereafter.  Additional approved 12th grade English course based on the Expository Reading and Writing course for students who have not received an EAP status of “Standard Exceeded.”  AVID (advancement via individual determination) opportunities for high school students (if available at the school district).  Clear criteria for identifying and supporting incoming ninth grade at-risk students.  A systematic program of parent communication and education.  Annual reports on the progress of each participating class.  Provide notification to students and parents of academic progress twice a year.  Provide opportunities for on-going teacher, counselor and parent training regarding APU's admissions requirements and their role in facilitating students' application, admission and enrollme...

District Commitment. The District has been and agrees to continue providing the following support to the Foundation, provided the purpose continues to be met and the partnership commitment continues to be implemented. The District agrees to the following responsibilities: The District Superintendent or designee and one member of the BOE shall serve as voting positions on the Foundation Board. The District shall provide the salary and benefits for the District employee serving the Foundation as Executive Director until the Foundation is ready to do so. The Executive Director shall dedicate a minimum of 25% of their time toward the Foundation. The Superintendent or designee shall supervise the District employee that is providing services to the Foundation. The employee shall be subject to all rights and responsibilities of other District employees. The District shall support the Foundation operating costs by: Providing office space facilities and utilities for the District employee serving the Foundation Providing equipment and technical support or the District employee serving the Foundation Allowing the Foundation to maintain a USD 232 mailing address as well as a USD 232 email address. Permitting the storage of Foundation related documents within District facilities. The District shall permit the Foundation use of facilities, consistent with the District policies and procedures, for Foundation activities and programming. The District will share annually with the Foundation appropriate documentation that identifies priorities and projects, along with resource requirements, so that the Foundation may align its programs and campaigns consistent with the strategic direction of the district. The District shall occasionally send communications, to share Foundation events and projects, to District families on behalf of the Foundation. The District agrees to encourage and maintain the independence of the Foundation and, at the same time, xxxxxx the cooperative relationship between the District and Foundation. The District agrees to ongoing and open communications with the Foundation. Foundation Responsibilities The Foundation will operate as an IRS recognized 501(c)(3) not-for-profit educational entity in Xxxxxxx County, Kansas, established in 2018 to offer support exclusively to the students, teachers, administration and families of the District.   • STAFF COMMITMENT 23. If this Settlement Agreement is accepted by the Hearing Panel, Staff will not initiate any proceeding under the By-laws of the MFDA against the Respondent in respect of the facts set out in Part IV and the contraventions described in Part V of this Settlement Agreement, subject to the provisions of Part IX below. Nothing in this Settlement Agreement precludes Staff from investigating or initiating proceedings in respect of any facts and contraventions that are not set out in Parts IV and V of this Settlement Agreement or in respect of conduct that occurred outside the specified date ranges of the facts and contraventions set out in Parts IV and V, whether known or unknown at the time of settlement. Furthermore, nothing in this Settlement Agreement shall relieve the Respondent from fulfilling any continuing regulatory obligations.

  • Service Commitment Newly hired nurses and currently employed nurses who voluntarily choose to relocate and receive a relocation allowance may be required to serve for a minimum of two years at their base before they will be considered for transfer to another base. This commitment will not apply when the employer and nurse mutually agree to waive it and when relocation occurs as a result of layoff/rehire.

  • Statement of Commitment The Institutions promote teaching, scholarship and research and the free and critical discussion of ideas. Unions and employers are committed to providing a working and learning environment that allows for full and free participation of all members of the institutional community. Harassment undermines these objectives and violates the fundamental rights, personal dignity and integrity of individuals or groups of individuals. Harassment is a serious offence that may be cause for disciplinary sanctions including, where appropriate, dismissal or expulsion. The Institutions have a responsibility under the BC's Human Rights Code to prevent harassment and to provide procedures to handle complaints, to resolve problems and to remedy situations where harassment occurs. The employer will offer educational and training programs designed to prevent harassment and to support the administration of the institutional policies and to ensure that all members of the institutional community are aware of their responsibility with respect to the policy. The Unions and Employers agree that attendance is required and will take place during compensated work time.

  • DVBE Commitment This section is applicable if Contractor received a disabled veteran business enterprise (“DVBE”) incentive in connection with this Agreement. Contractor’s failure to meet the DVBE commitment set forth in its bid or proposal constitutes a breach of the Agreement. If Contractor used DVBE subcontractor(s) in connection with this Agreement: (i) Contractor must use the DVBE subcontractors identified in its bid or proposal, unless the JBE approves in writing replacement by another DVBE subcontractor in accordance with the terms of this Agreement; and (ii) Contractor must complete and return to the JBE a post-contract certification form promptly upon completion of the awarded contract, and by no later than the date of submission of Contractor’s final invoice to the JBE. (The post-contract certification form is located at: xxxxx://xxx.xxxxxx.xx.xxx/documents/JBCM-Post- Contract-Certification-Form.docx) If the Contractor fails to do so, the JBE will withhold $10,000 from the final payment, or withhold the full payment if it is less than $10,000, until the Contractor submits a complete and accurate post-contract certification form. The JBE shall allow the Contractor to cure the deficiency after written notice of the Contractor’s failure to complete and submit an accurate post- contract certification form. Notwithstanding the foregoing and any other law, if after at least 15 calendar days, but no more than 30 calendar days, from the date of the written notice the Contractor refuses to comply with these certification requirements, the JBE shall permanently deduct $10,000 from the final payment, or the full payment if less than $10,000. The post-contract certification form shall include: (1) the total amount of money Contractor received under the Agreement, (2) the total amount of money and the percentage of work that Contractor committed to provide to each DVBE subcontractor; (3) the name and address of each DVBE subcontractor to which Contractor subcontracted work in connection with the Agreement; (4) the amount of money each DVBE subcontractor actually received from Contractor in connection with the Agreement, and the corresponding percentage this payment comprises of the total amount of money Contractor received under the Agreement; and (5) that all payments under the Agreement have been made to the applicable DVBE subcontractors. Upon request by the JBE, Contractor shall provide proof of payment for the work. A person or entity that knowingly provides false information shall be subject to a civil penalty for each violation. Contractor will comply with all rules, regulations, ordinances and statutes that govern the DVBE program, including, without limitation, Military and Veterans Code section 999.5.

  • Specific Commitments Investments in respect of a particular undertaking of one of the Contracting Parties with respect to nationals and companies of the other Contracting Party shall be governed, without prejudice to the provisions of this Agreement, the terms of that commitment to the extent that it is more favourable provisions than those laid down in this Agreement.

  • Review of Commitments The Parties shall enter into successive rounds of negotiations, beginning not later than three years from the date of entry into force of this Agreement, and periodically thereafter as determined by the FTA Joint Committee, with a view to further improving specific commitments under this Chapter so as to progressively liberalise trade in services among the Parties.

  • EXTENSION OF USE COMMITMENT The Contractor agrees to honor all orders from State Agencies, political subdivisions and others authorized by law (see Section 25 Extension of Use) which are in compliance with the pricing, terms, and conditions set forth in the Contract. Any unilateral limitations/restrictions imposed by the Contractor on eligible Authorized Users will be grounds for cancellation of the Contract.

  • Other Commitments (1) If provisions in the legislation of either Contracting Party or rules of international law entitle investments by investors of the other Contracting Party to treatment more favourable than is provided for by this Agreement, such provisions shall to the extent that they are more favourable prevail over this Agreement.

  • No Commitment None of the provisions of this Agreement shall be deemed or construed to constitute or imply any commitment or obligation on the part of the Lender to make any future loans or other extensions of credit or financial accommodations to the Borrower.

  • Employer Commitments It is agreed that the institution will make every reasonable attempt to minimize the impact of funding shortfalls and reductions on the work force. It is incumbent upon institutions to communicate effectively with their employees and the unions representing those employees as soon as the impact of any funding reduction or shortfall or profile change has been assessed. If a work force reduction is necessary, the Joint Labour Management Committee will canvas employees in a targeted area or other areas over a fourteen (14) day period, or such longer time as the Joint Labour Management Committee agrees, to find volunteer solutions that provide as many viable options as possible and minimize potential layoffs. Subject to any agreement that the Joint Labour Management Committee may make to extend the period of a canvass, such canvasses shall take place either: • prior to the issuance of lay-off notice to employees under the local agreement, or • by no later than fourteen (14) calendar days following the annual deadline for notice of non-renewal or layoff where a local provision provides for such a deadline, whichever date is later. The union shall be provided with a copy of each final plan for employee labour adjustment.
