– E-MAIL POLICY. By using the email system, the employee expressly consents to the District’s email policy. The user agrees not to misuse or abuse the email system, agrees to comply with all limitations on the use of the email system and understands that the email system is not a private communication medium.
– E-MAIL POLICY. 5601 The parties agree to remove this subject from the Agreement and place it into the City’s Administrative Policy Manual. 5602 The parties agree further that no changes will be made to content of this Article as set forth in the 2004-05 Agreement without first giving employee representatives the opportunity to negotiate concerning the changes being proposed by the City. 5603 Notwithstanding any provisions of the E-mail Policy to the contrary, Association/Union Officers registered as required in Article 59, Union Rights, shall have the right to use the City e-mail system for union business as provided in Section 5604 below. 5604 Appropriate Union/Association Officers and Officials may use City e-mail to communicate scheduled union meetings; information concerning or the results of, union elections; status of negotiations with the City; and coordination of meetings between and among members or with the City, including grievance meetings. 5605 Use of City e-mail for Union business per this Article shall be restricted to non- work time. 5606 The parties understand and agree that all aspects of the City’s E-mail Policy will apply to any transmission made pursuant to Sections 5603 and 5604.
– E-MAIL POLICY. See applicable administrative policy. Removal from the MOU of reference to a variety of City policies and inclusion of said policies in a separate manual shall not alter any meet and confer obligations which must precede modifications being made to such language.

However, the confidentiality of e-mail cannot be guaranteed to remain protected and private due to the nature of the internet and the World Wide Web. (Note: e-mail communications are subject to becoming part of health record.) Sending clinical information via e-mail is strongly discouraged. Leaving a voicemail message is a preferred alternative. Clinical issues are best addressed during therapy sessions.

– E-MAIL POLICY. 13.1 CC must comply with any policy made by Global 1 in relation to e-mails on or in connection with any computer system used by CC.
13.2 Without limiting the generality of clause 13.1, CC agrees and acknowledges that:
(1) all e-mail connections within the operations of Global 1 are provided primarily for use in connection with the Business of Global 1 and not for private use; and
(2) all e-mail transmissions received by CC in the course of its Business are, subject to any contrary law, not private or confidential to any particular user of the e-mail facilities and may be viewed by CC.

The email system is a business tool owned and paid for by the District; therefore, the email system is the District’s property. All email messages are the property of the District and are subject to office policy, procedures, and control. As such, the District has the right to view them at any time. The District respects the individual privacy of its employees. However, that privacy does not extend to the employee’s work-related conduct or to the use of District provided technical resources or supplies. Therefore, employees have no right of privacy as to any information transmitted or stored through the District’s email system. To ensure proper use, the District may monitor its technological resources at any time without advance notice or consent. Employees shall use the email system for purposes related to their employment with the District. Use of the email system that promotes unethical practices, or any activity prohibited by law, the Education Code and/or any other statutes, or District policy is strictly prohibited. Except as otherwise indicated in this policy, Commercial or political use of the email system is also strictly prohibited. Messages related to or in support of illegal activities are strictly prohibited and will be reported to District authorities and may be reported to legal authorities. Employees should be aware that computer files and communications over electronic networks, including email are not private. This technology should not be used to conduct personal commercial business. The transmission of information about students or District affairs shall adhere to the following: • Confidential information should never be sent or forwarded to outside individuals or outside agencies not authorized to receive that information. • Confidential messages and information should never be sent or forwarded to others, including faculty, staff and students who do not need to know the information. • Confidential information should not be forwarded to multiple parties unless there is a clear and legitimate need to do so. • Confidential email should not be retained in an employee’s personal mailbox, but should be deleted as soon as possible. • Confidential messag...
