Graduate School. 1. Content area track:
a. The RPSD will pay $200 per semester hour for completion of graduate course work toward a Master’s Degree or higher in a teacher's current educational field. Proof of acceptance to graduate school and a current plan of study from an approved university must be on file with the District and be approved by the superintendent. Courses taken after the filing of the plan of study with the District and before the completion of the degree will be eligible for payment.
b. In agreement the teacher must remain at RPSD for three years after the start of their program. If the teacher leaves prior to completing the program or does not complete three years of service the employee will reimburse RPSD for all costs.
2. Leadership track:

Proof of acceptance to graduate school and a current plan of study from an approved university must be on file with the District and be approved by the superintendent. Courses taken after the filing of the plan of study with the District and before the completion of the degree will be eligible for payment.
b. In agreement the teacher must remain at RPSD for three years after the start of their program. If the teacher leaves prior to completing the program or does not complete three years of service the employee will reimburse RPSD for all costs.
Graduate School. The Graduate School will coordinate with the GE and employing unit on any 49 adjustment due to the GE’s absence. Prior to adjusting a GE’s FTE, the following factors will be 50 considered: (1) the duration of the absence, (2) the timing of the absence; (3) the GE’s assignment; (4) the 51 ability of the GE to perform assigned duties; (5) whether or not it is feasible to adjust the assignment of 52 duties within the current term; (6) in the case of an absence pursuant to Section 7, whether or not it is 53 feasible to adjust the assignment of duties over the course of the GE’s full appointment period; and (7) the 54 absence’s impact on academic progress. Where feasible and taking into consideration the aforementioned 55 factors, adjustments to FTE will be applied equitably across all employing units. If there is no adjustment 56 of FTE under this section, the Graduate School will assist the employing unit and the GE in determining 57 duty and workload allocation.
Graduate School. As the Faculty Mentor you are expected to help your Fellow prepare for graduate school. This should involve assisting them with identifying graduate programs in their intended field, identifying resources such as possible graduate fellowships/grants, providing them with GRE advice and helping with the application process.
Graduate School. For employees seeking to earn a graduate degree or pursuing job-related graduate courses, permanent full time employees or full-time employees with one year of service will be eligible for tuition reimbursement for courses which are job related provided prior approval is received from the Board of Freeholders after a written request to and recommendation by the Department Head to the Director of Human Resources. “Job related” for graduate school courses shall be strictly construed. If prior approval is granted, the employee must submit evidence that he has attained a grade equivalent to a “B” or better. In addition, the employee must agree to remain in County service for a period of six (6) months following completion of each three (3) credits reimbursed. Such period of County service is to be cumulative. If such employee does not remain in the County service for the appropriate length of time, the total amount of tuition paid will be reimbursed to the County by the employee or deducted from the employee’s final pay. The amount of (tuition only) reimbursement shall be limited to the equivalent cost of nine (9) credits per year at the Rutgers University Graduate School in-State tuition rate.

Graduate School.
