HOURS OF WORK AND WORK SCHEDULE. 17.01 Hours of Work
(a) (i) The normal daily hours of work shall be seven and one-half (7 1/2) hours per day exclusive of meal breaks.
HOURS OF WORK AND WORK SCHEDULE. 15.01 Hours of work will normally fall between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on any of the regular school days comprising the academic year. However, the Employer retains the right to schedule the employee for hours of work at other times in order to provide services to the student. A full time employee works seven (7) hours a day and thirty-five (35) hours a week.
(a) With the exception of bussing positions, the minimum hours of work shall be two and one half (2.5) hours per day, effective the start of the 2004-2005 school year.
(b) Both parties recognize the necessity for programming and scheduling for student needs. Therefore, subject to clause 15.02(a) (i.e. the ability to meet the minimum required hours), the Employer will attempt to minimize overlapping by assigning the maximum number of hours to student assistant positions, except in situations where student programming and scheduling requires otherwise. Overlapping of thirty (30) minutes or less will not be adjusted.
(c) Where student programming and scheduling needs permit, new hours that are allocated to a school after September recall will be added to an existing position. The position will be posted. This will not apply to incumbent positions or bussing hours.
(d) With the exception of bus duty, no employee shall have an unpaid break during the work day other than their lunch break.
(e) Where feasible, where student needs and programming are not affected, a Student Assistant may be employed in two (2) schools within the same school system in order to maximize his/her hours of work.
(f) Where an employee has been approved for paid or unpaid leave prior to recall the employer shall indicate the position to which he/she will be returning to and said position will become a replacement position.
15.03 Due to the nature of the work of the bargaining unit, the Employer does not foresee a reduction in the hours of work of the bargaining unit during the term of this Agreement. However, should a reduction occur, it will only be for good and just cause.
(a) Each employee who works four and one half (4½) hours a day or more shall receive a rest period of twenty (20) consecutive minutes in the working day, at a time to be scheduled by the Employer. Employees who work less than four and one half (4½) hours a day are entitled to a ten (10) minute rest period in that working period.
(b) Where the Employer determines that an employee is entitled to an unpaid lunch break, the Employer will provide a consecutive lunch ...
HOURS OF WORK AND WORK SCHEDULE. 17.01 (a) Definition of a work week: The work week for full-time employees shall be up to five (5) days, consisting of up to forty (40) hours per calendar week and the work day shall be up to eight (8) hours. Preference will be given to full-time and part-time employees by seniority to schedule weekends off.

HOURS OF WORK AND WORK SCHEDULE. Section 1. All Sergeants and Lieutenants assigned to the Patrol Division shall work a 4 x 4 schedule. The two Captains and Records Lieutenant shall work a 5 x 2 schedule. The Investigations Lieutenant, Traffic Lieutenant and all Sergeants other than in patrol shall work a 5 x 2 or 4 x 3 schedule subject to agreement between said Superior Officers and the Director/Chief of Police Provided, however, in the event any Superior Officer and the Director/Chief of Police are unable to agree, the Superior Officer shall revert to working a 4 x 3 schedule. Other than to implement new work schedules as agreed upon herein in 2001, work schedules shall not be changed more frequently than once per year without the approval of the Director/Chief of Police.
Section 2. When the normal work day is either lengthened or shortened as a result of the change in time from Daylight Savings Time to Standard Time, and from Standard Time to Daylight Savings Time Employees shall be compensated an amount reflecting eleven and three-quarter hour (II 3/4) pay for an eleven and three-quarter hour shift for which the additional hour will be paid at time and one-half (I 1/2), and amount reflecting ten and three-quarter hour (10 3/4) pay for a nine and three-quarter hour (9 3/4) shift provided such pay be paid at straight time rates.
Section 3. The Director/Chief of Police shall review the hours of employment of uniformed personnel within the Department and agree to meet and discuss with PBA representative's revision of the current shift schedule. The committee shall also consider vacation schedules. Upon concurrence of any revision of either work schedule or vacation schedules by the Director/Chief of Police, changes will be implemented. Nothing herein shall be deemed to waive any prerogative available to management regarding the scheduling of employment within the Department.

Unit employees assigned to fire suppression duties shall continue to be scheduled to work in 24-hour shift increments, with each shift commencing at 8:00 a.m., on a three platoon “4 to a 4, 4 to a 6” cycle that causes them to be scheduled to work an average of 56 hours per week or eight 24-hour shifts in a 24-calendar day work period, less applicable time off for annual leave, holidays, sick leave and other appropriate leaves of absence.
b. The position of Administrative Captain shall continue to work a seven-day work schedule consisting of ten-hour work days on Monday through Thursday with Friday, Saturday and Sunday being days off. Each workday shall be scheduled to commence at the same time as every other workday.
c. Fire Inspectors, the Administrative Captain and Fire Prevention Captains shall be assigned to a ten-hour daily work shift on a schedule that requires them to work four days in a seven-day calendar week. An alternative schedule may be worked if it is mutually agreed upon by the employee and the Fire Chief.
HOURS OF WORK AND WORK SCHEDULE. Section 1. The work day shall consist of not more than eight (8) consecutive hours in a twenty-four (24) hour period, except as mutually agreed to by the parties.
Section 2. Tour men shall work tours of four (4) consecutive days followed by two (2) days off. There shall be sixteen (16) hours off between scheduled shifts unless mutually agreed to by the parties. All non-tour men shall work a regular five (5) day week unless mutually agreed to by the parties, or in accordance with the practices in effect as of this date.
