HOURS - WAGE PAYMENTS WORKING CONDITIONS. Article III, Section 1 - Hours of Work - The workweek will start on Monday and conclude on Sunday. Eight (8) hours per day shall constitute a standard workday between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Employees shall receive a one-half (½) hour lunch break no later than five hours after starting time. Forty (40) hours per week, Monday through Friday, shall constitute a regular week's work. Nothing herein shall be construed as guaranteeing any employee eight (8) hours per day or forty (40) hours per week. Overtime - The first two hours worked before or after the regularly established shift hours and the first eight (8) hours worked on Saturday shall be paid at the rate of time and one half (1 ½). All other overtime worked shall be paid at the rate of double time. Every employer shall authorize and permit all employees to take rest periods, which insofar as practicable, shall be in the middle of each work period. Nothing in this provision shall prevent an employer from staggering rest periods to avoid interruption in the flow of work and to maintain continuous operations, or from scheduling rest periods to coincide with breaks in the flow of work that occur in the course of the workday. The authorized rest period time shall be based on the total hours worked daily at the rate of ten (10) minutes net rest time for every four (4) hours worked or major fraction thereof. Rest periods shall take place at employer-designated areas, which may include or be limited to the employees’ immediate work area. Rest periods need not be authorized in limited circumstances when the disruption of continuous operations would jeopardize the product or process of the work. However, the employer shall make up the missed rest period within the same workday or compensate the employee for the missed ten (10) minutes of rest time at his/her regular rate of pay within the same pay period. A rest period need not be authorized for employees whose total daily work time is less than three and one-half (3 ½) hours. Authorized rest period time shall be counted as hours worked for which there shall be no deduction from wages. If an employer fails to provide an employee a rest period in accordance with the applicable provisions of this agreement, the employer shall pay the employee one (1) hour of pay at the employee’s regular rate of compensation for each workday that the rest period was not provided. Section 3.01 (B). 4-10’s By mutual agreement among all parties involved (Employer and Employee), the Employer may institute a work week consisting of four (4) ten (10) hour days, Monday through Thursday or Tuesday through Friday, with one half hour allowed for a lunch period. If a full day is missed due to inclement weather or a holiday, then Friday may be used as a make-up day if the Monday through Thursday schedule is worked. If the Tuesday through Friday schedule is worked then the Monday preceding the Tuesday through Friday work week may be used as a make-up day. Such make-up days would be by mutual agreement with such make-up day being paid at the straight time rate of pay. After ten (10) hours in a work day, overtime shall be paid at a rate of one and one-half times (1-1/2) the straight time rate of pay.

  • HOURS AND WORKING CONDITIONS Section 1.

  • Hours Worked For the purpose of computing the number of hours worked, all time during which an employee is in paid status shall be construed as hours worked.

  • GENERAL WORKING CONDITIONS The District has empowered school communities to make decisions at the school level in return for accountability for results. To maximize the likelihood of success, each school must be permitted to implement programs that meet the needs of its students and community. Through a school-based decision-making process, each school will define the staff working conditions necessary for student success. School leadership teams will create and publish annual “school operational plans” which will outline working conditions of staff in the building. Such operational plans will be subject to the Superintendent’s review and approval.

  • Safe Working Conditions The Employer undertakes to maintain office furniture, equipment, etc., in a practical and safe condition in order to avoid injury to employees or damage to their attire. Employees, for their part and in their own interest, are expected to advise the Employer of any such potentially injurious equipment.

  • HOURS OF WORK AND WORKING CONDITIONS 16.01 The following paragraph is intended to define the normal hours of work and shall not be construed as a guarantee of hours of work per day, or per week, or of days of work per week.

  • Standard Workweek Except as noted below the standard workweek for full-time employees consists of five (5) consecutive eight (8) hour days, Monday through Friday each week.   • Medicaid-Funded Hours Worked Effective July 1, 2021, the Employer shall contribute the Retirement Rate or eighty cents ($0.80), whichever is higher, to the Retirement Trust for each Medicaid-Funded Hour worked by all home care workers covered by this Agreement with seven-hundred and one (701) or more cumulative career hours and fifty cents ($0.50) for each hour worked by all home care workers covered by this Agreement with less than seven-hundred one (701) cumulative career hours. Medicaid- Funded Hour(s) worked shall be defined as all hours worked by all employees covered by this Agreement in the Employer's in-home care program that are paid by Medicaid, excluding vacation hours, paid-time off hours, and training hours.

  • Training Conditions 3.1 The Trainee shall attend an approved training course or training program prescribed in the Training Agreement or as notified to the trainee by the relevant State or Territory Training Authority in accredited and relevant Traineeship Schemes.

  • Standard Work Week The standard work week shall be thirty-five (35) hours and is composed of five (5) consecutive standard work days.
