Incumbents. When a current position is reclassified to reflect changes, over time, in the position's duties or as the result of a salary range adjustment, the incumbent employee shall fill the position which has been reclassified.
Incumbents. When Year‐Round Education (YRE) additional hours, days, weeks or months are assigned to a position on a regular basis, those hours, days, weeks or months shall be offered first to the incumbent employee.
Incumbents. No incumbent in a position will receive less compensation for a new contract year than they received in the previous contract year for that position, unless the duties and responsibilities for that position have diminished to the point where the EPED committee decides that less points are warranted.

The parties agree that branches participating in central bargaining are facing severe financial constraints. It is the desire of the parties to work together toward the retention and expansion of current revenue bases to achieve the financial viability of the branches. The parties agree to the principle of effective involvement of the Association in the budgetary and planning process of the branches involved in central bargaining. The Cost Saving Monitoring Committee will be comprised of the members of the Central Negotiating Committee. All committee work will be carried out during regular working hours and the Association members of the committee shall be on paid leave time for the purpose of carrying out the work of the committee. During bargaining, parties agree to a substantial cost savings which exceeds the projected savings of required by the Employer. This excess overflow amount belongs to the Association’s central pot. Any additional monies saved beyond the initial amount as a result of the internal examination of the branches will be to the pot and distribution of the fund to the nurses will be determined by the Association. All budgets and projected budgets will be provided to the Association by May and June respectively. The parties will meet in mid-June to review possible scenarios and solutions with a view to improve branch efficiencies from all aspects. Any recommendations achieved by a majority from the Committee shall contain an implementation date for the guidance of the branches. The parties agree that the Cost Savings Monitoring Committee will meet quarterly to monitor the effectiveness of the cost savings measures. Participating branches will provide to the Association, quarterly financial statements by the end of the month following the quarter. The committee will meet within one month of the receipt of the financial statements to review the cost savings and any subsequent surplus to the required savings. Incumbents. An Employee required by the Employer to replace another Employee holding a position within this Bargaining Unit, to which is assigned a higher pay grade, for a period of two (2) hours or more shall in addition to the Employee’s Basic Rate of Pay, be paid a premium which is the equivalent hourly rate of the difference between the job rates of the two (2) jobs for the time so worked. An Employee required by the Employer to replace another Employee in a position of greater responsibility outside the scope of the Bargaining Unit for a period of two (2) hours or more shall, in addition to the Employee’s Basic Rate of Pay, be paid a premium to be determined by the Employer. An Employee required by the Employer to temporarily replace another Employee holding a position with the Bargaining Unit to which is assigned a lower pay grade, except as provided in Article shall not have the Employee Basic Rate of Pay adjusted. The Employer may designate Journeyman Trades Employees to assume the temporary responsibilities of Lead Hand. Employees so designated shall receive, in addition to their regular earnings, a premium of one dollar and twenty-five cents ($1.25) per hour worked for the duration of their temporary appointment as Lead Hand. In addition to normal duties, an Employee appointed to be Lead Hand shall be responsible for co-ordinating the efforts of other Journeyman Trades Employees assigned to work with to ensure that the work is completed satisfactorily.
Incumbents. Incumbents in the Towerman and above classifications in the Tower Department will be required to complete a training program to ensure they have the knowledge and skills to safely perform the work of a Qualified Electrical Person (QEP) –
Incumbents. A) Employees who were classified as Plant Assistants, Meter/Regulator Mechanics, or Senior Meter/Regulator Mechanics on the effective date of this Agreement will be required to participate in the training program and associated testing for their respective classifications. However, such incumbents will not be required to pass written tests for further wage progression within their classification. Completion of the training program for incumbents to only the next higher classification in the line of progression will not be used as justification for bypass under Section 205.11 of the Physical Agreement.
B) Employees who were classified as Plant Assistants or Meter/Regulator Mechanics on the effective date of this Agreement, and who subsequently successfully bid to the next higher classification in the line of progression, will be required to successfully complete all agreed-to standards in order to progress within such higher classification or else be subject to demotion in accordance with the procedure outlined in Paragraphs I I.C. and II.E. above.

An Employee required by the Employer to temporarily replace another Employee holding a position within the Bargaining Unit to is assigned a lower pay grade, except as provided in Clause shall not have his Basic Rate of Pay adjusted.
