LENGTH OF SERVICE - SENIORITY. Section 14.1 Definition A. Years of continuous service as a tenured teacher in this District, provided, however, that less than full-time tenured service shall be computed on a pro rata basis and approved unpaid leaves of absence of more than one full semester shall not be counted in determining seniority. B. If the years of continuous tenured service are equal between two (2) or more teachers, seniority shall be determined by total years of continuous teaching service with this District, provided, however, that less than full-time service shall be computed on a pro rata basis and approved unpaid leaves of absence of more than one full semester shall not be counted in determining seniority. C. If total continuous teaching service is equal between two (2) or more teachers, then seniority shall be determined by total teaching service with this District, whether or not continuous. Such service shall be computed in a manner described in A and B above. D. If total teaching service with this District is equal between two (2) or more teachers, then seniority shall be determined by the amount and quality of educational background, i.e., the teacher with the greatest degree and hours. As an example, BA+28 would have more seniority than BA+20 and less seniority than MS+2. E. Effective July 1, 1993, non-bargaining unit members shall not accrue seniority as defined in this Section. Only administrators hired prior to July 1, 1992 shall accrue seniority during the 1992-93 school year. Teachers who are transferred to District positions outside of the bargaining unit and who are later transferred back to the bargaining unit shall have their seniority computed on the basis of the period of time previously worked in positions covered by this Agreement. F. For the purposes of determining contractual continued service, a school term shall be counted only toward attainment of contractual continued service if the teacher actually teaches or is otherwise present and participating in the district’s or program’s educational program for 120 days or more, provided that the days of leave under the federal Family Medical Leave Act that the teacher is required to take until the end of the school term shall be considered days of teaching or participation in the district’s or program’s educational program. LENGTH OF SERVICE - SENIORITY. Length of service shall be defined as continuous service in the bargaining unit starting with the most recent start date as a paraprofessional with Xxxxxxx Community Schools.
LENGTH OF SERVICE - SENIORITY. Section 1 - District seniority shall be on the basis of length of service as a classified employee within the school District from date of last permanent hire. Seniority within a job classification shall mean an employee’s total length of continuous service in a designated job classification since his/her date of hire into that classification. Section 2 - For the purpose of computing seniority, all authorized paid leave shall be considered as time worked. Employees who are laid off as a result of a reduction in positions and who are subsequently reinstated within a period of 27 months shall retain their full seniority except for the period of the layoff. Employees who are discharged for cause, or who resign, lose all right to seniority. An employee who has been granted a leave of absence under Article 22 will retain his/her full seniority except that he/she will not gain additional seniority during the period of unpaid leave. Unpaid leave of 15 consecutive days or less will be treated as time worked for the purposes of computing seniority.
LENGTH OF SERVICE - SENIORITY. Length of Service means date of hire into a probationary or permanent position in the classified service of the District. Seniority is defined as hire date within classification. All seniority earned by unit member in higher or equal paid classifications in the same job family shall be added to seniority earned in lower classification(s) held. In order to earn seniority, the unit member must have actually serviced in the classification.
LENGTH OF SERVICE - SENIORITY. For the purpose of reckoning length of service where demotions, redundancies, vacation leave, promotions and other benefits under this Agreement are concerned, length of service in a particular grade shall be determined by the date of the first appointment to that grade. Length of service with the Exchange shall, however, be determined by the date of the first appointment with the Exchange. Length of service with the Exchange shall be calculated subject to the rules or breaks in service as set out below. a) Previous service in a higher or equivalent grade counts towards service in the lower grade. b) Unpaid leave is deducted for the purpose of reckoning an employee’s total length of service and seniority. c) Previous service shall be regarded as forfeited when employment has been interrupted by an employee as a result of voluntary resignation.
LENGTH OF SERVICE - SENIORITY. The employee who has the greatest length of service as an employee within the State of Washington shall be given the position. As per RCW 28A. 400. 300 In the case of Reduction in Force, provisional employees, per RCW 28A.405.220, will be first subject to non- renewal. When more than one provisional employee, per RCW 28A.405.220, is qualified for a particular position under the criteria listed above, the provisional employee with the greatest length of service as an employee within the State of Washington shall be given the position. When more than one non provisional teacher is qualified for a particular position under the criteria listed above, the teacher who has the greatest length of service as a teacher in the state of Washington, followed by the seniority in the District, will be given the position. In the event of more than one individual employee having the same length of service within the state of Washington, followed by the seniority in the District, all employees will be placed on the ranking list in accordance with the number of education credits beyond the BA degree from greatest to least.

LENGTH OF SERVICE - SENIORITY. For the purposes of this Agreement, "Length of Service" with the Company means the total length of continuous service with the Company as an Employee, providing he has successfully completed the probationary period provided for by Article of this Agreement.

  • Length of Service Subject to the requirements of affirmative action and equal employment opportunity, if two or more employees are being considered for the same position and are equal in every respect, the position shall be given to the employee with the greater amount of seniority as defined in Article 28 - Seniority.

  • Level of Service Complex case management with a provider focus is appropriate for members who either choose not to be actively involved or are unable to actively participate in their health care. Complex case management targets members with two (2) or more disease states who need assistance with care coordination, making preventive care appointments, or accessing care to address the members’ chronic health conditions or members who have had an inpatient hospital stay in the last ninety (90) days or members with high dollar claims of over fifty thousand dollars (>$50,000) in six (6) months. The focus is on working with the providers to meet the needs of the individual through communication with the PMP (if applicable), other providers, and the member’s natural support system. The goal is to help members gain optimum health or improved functional capability, in the right setting and in a cost-effective manner. Complex case management with provider focus is the active coordination by the Contractor of care and services between providers while navigating the extensive systems and resources required for the member. It involves comprehensive assessment, determination of available benefits, development and implementation of a complex case management plan directed at the chronic health conditions. At a minimum, the Contractor must provide complex case management services for members discharged from an inpatient psychiatric, drug overdose, or substance abuse hospitalization, for no fewer than ninety (90) calendar days following that inpatient hospitalization discharge. The Contractor must also provide complex case management services for any member at risk for inpatient psychiatric or substance abuse re -hospitalization. Care managers must contact members during an inpatient hospitalization or as soon as practicable upon receiving notification of a member’s inpatient behavioral health hospitalization. The care manager must work with the hospital discharge planner, provider case manager and/or natural supports (i.e. family) to ensure that an outpatient follow-up appointment is scheduled to occur no later than seven (7) calendar days following the inpatient behavioral health hospitalization discharge and transportation is not a barrier to attending the appointment. Complex case management with provider focus includes all of the services and benefits from disease management and care management. In addition,

  • Grades of Service The Parties shall initially engineer and shall monitor and augment all trunk groups consistent with the Joint Process as set forth in Section 14.1 of this Attachment.
