PROFESSIONAL VACANCIES. All professional positions that become vacant within the school district shall be posted within all schools. Upon request, the Central Office will make available information regarding job descriptions, salaries, seniority rights and tenure rights about any job opening. This shall in no way infringe upon the Boards right to be the sole and final judge as to the selection of the best candidate.

PROFESSIONAL VACANCIES. The College shall post prominently a notice of any vacancy in a permanent full-time professional position at the College. Such notice shall be posted prior to or concurrently with publication elsewhere and shall include the duties and desirable qualifications for the position. Qualified bargaining unit members shall be given consideration equal to others in filling such vacancies.
PROFESSIONAL VACANCIES. Notices of all professional vacancies in positions other than the classroom level, if to be filled, shall be posted by the Superintendent by e-mail to all staff and on the Xxxxxxx-Xxxxxx R.S.D. web site as far in advance of the probable date of appointment as possible. A job description noting: Title, Reporting Relationship, Job Goals, performance Responsibilities, Qualifications, Terms of Employment and Evaluation shall be included in the notices. During July and August, all positions will be posted on the WHRSD website, District e-mail, and the WHEA President will be notified of each posting by e-mail. Administrators will be given the opportunity to make applications for the open professional positions. In selecting an applicant to fill a vacancy as provided in this Article, the Superintendent will give consideration to professional competence and attainment, the length of employment in the Xxxxxxx-Xxxxxx Regional School District and such other factors as the Superintendent considers relevant. A selection by the Superintendent to fill a vacancy in a professional position as provided in this article shall not be subject to the grievance and arbitration procedure.

PROFESSIONAL VACANCIES a) The District will advertise all openings for professional staff. Teachers applying for any position in the district need not complete application forms, but may outline interests and qualifications in writing to the Superintendent. Each qualified applicant will be interviewed. b) Teachers as selected by the PFT will be involved in the interviewing process for professional staff openings. Additionally, the administration will provide the PFT representative appropriate information relating to the professional qualifications of the applicants. c) The final decision for the employment of professional personnel rests with the Board of Education upon recommendation of the Superintendent.
PROFESSIONAL VACANCIES. 11 – 1 A vacancy is defined as any open position as designated by the administration after allowances have been made for necessary interschool and intraschool adjustments, placement of staff returning from leave, and decisions concerning voluntary requests for transfer. The provisions of this article shall apply only to vacancies to be filled at the beginning of a school year and new positions established at any time by the Board of Education, and these shall be filled pursuant to the following procedures. Positions established for one school year or less than one (1) school year shall not be subject to the provisions of this paragraph. 11 – 1.1 Notice of such vacancies or new positions shall be posted in every school and a copy sent to the Association at least fifteen (15) days prior to the final date when applications must be submitted. 11 – 1.2 Said notice of vacancy or new position shall clearly set forth the qualifications for the positions. 11 – 1.3 Teachers who desire to apply for such vacancies or new positions shall file their applications in writing within the time limit specified in the notice. 11 – 1.4 Such vacancies or new positions shall be filled from applicants to include part-time and full-time teachers both within and outside the system on the basis of fitness for the vacant post, provided, however, that where two or more applicants are substantially equal in qualifications the applicant with the greatest amount of seniority in the Newington School System shall be given preference. 11 – 1.5 Notwithstanding the provisions of Section 11 – 1.1 above, all notices of vacancies or new positions occurring during the summer months prior to August 1 will be posted and kept up- to-date in the school administration office and a copy sent to every school for posting. A request for a list of openings will be honored.

  • Professional Meetings Employees should be encouraged to and may, with the approval of the supervisor, attend professional meetings, conferences, and activities. Subject to the availability of funds, the employee's expenses in connection with such meetings, conferences, or activities shall be reimbursed in accordance with the applicable provisions of State law and university rules.

  • JOB VACANCIES Vacancies or new positions shall be awarded to the senior employee applicant where the employee currently possesses the necessary capabilities to perform the work. Qualifications for the job shall be posted by the Employer, and the posting shall include the shift and number of hours for the position. No employee shall be eligible to bid on a job vacancy or new position until the employee has worked in the employee's existing job for a minimum of one hundred eighty (180) days. The provisions of the preceding sentence shall not apply when employees bid on vacancies or new positions in the employee's same classification. All vacancies shall be bulletined for a minimum of five (5) calendar days, and notice of the same furnished to the Union at the same time. Each Hospital shall develop a system to ensure that only applicants signing the posting during the five calendar day posting period will be considered. Temporary assignments may be made during such posting period only; provided assignments to a new classification may be on a temporary basis for ten (10) days. If a question arises as to the capability of an employee to perform the employee's duties after the above herein procedure has been used, that question, and any other question incidental thereto pertaining to the employee's classification and rate of pay, shall be settled by mutual agreement between the Employer and the Union. If such questions cannot be so settled, they shall be settled by arbitration as provided in Article 2. In filling vacancies or new positions, senior employees in the classification where the vacancy or new position is located shall be given preference. In the event that the vacant or new position cannot be filled with a qualified employee from that classification then qualified applicants from other classifications within the bargaining unit will be considered based on bargaining unit seniority.

  • Vacancies Whenever a vacancy in the Board of Trustees shall occur, the remaining Trustees may fill such vacancy by appointing an individual having the qualifications described in this Article by a written instrument signed by a majority of the Trustees then in office or may leave such vacancy unfilled or may reduce the number of Trustees; provided the aggregate number of Trustees after such reduction shall not be less than the minimum number required by Section 2.1 hereof; provided, further, that if the Shareholders of any class or series of Shares are entitled separately to elect one or more Trustees, a majority of the remaining Trustees or the sole remaining Trustee elected by that class or series may fill any vacancy among the number of Trustees elected by that class or series. Any vacancy created by an increase in Trustees may be filled by the appointment of an individual having the qualifications described in this Article made by a written instrument signed by a majority of the Trustees then in office. No vacancy shall operate to annul this Declaration or to revoke any existing agency created pursuant to the terms of this Declaration. Whenever a vacancy in the number of Trustees shall occur, until such vacancy is filled as provided herein, the Trustees in office, regardless of their number, shall have all the powers granted to the Trustees and shall discharge all the duties imposed upon the Trustees by this Declaration.

  • Professional Memberships Each employee is eligible for reimbursement for membership fees or dues paid for the maintenance of a license required to perform employee’s job and for dues paid for membership in one additional job related professional association.

  • Professional Seal Where applicable in the determination of the City, the first page of a technical report, first page of design specifications, and each page of construction drawings shall be stamped/sealed and signed by the licensed professional responsible for the report/design preparation.

  • Appointment of Directors Immediately upon the Effective Time, Parent shall, in accordance with Section 2.3(d), accept the resignations and cause the appointments of those officers and directors of Parent identified in Exhibit C hereto, subject to any notice and waiting period requirements of federal law. At the first annual meeting of Parent’s stockholders and thereafter, the election of members of Parent’s Board of Directors shall be accomplished in accordance with the by-laws of Parent.

  • VACANCIES AND PROMOTIONS 10.1 All openings for instructional and administrative positions shall be posted on the District website. Notice of these vacancies shall be posted at least five (5) work days prior to the filling of such vacancy. Vacancies which occur during June, July, and August shall be posted for only four (4) work days. Vacancies that occur within one week of the beginning of school, within one week after the Deputy Superintendent’s FTE mini-count, or during the school year due to a resignation or approved transfer, may be filled prior to the job closing if a qualified applicant is available. Agreement between the Superintendent and the ABCE President will be necessary for this to occur. Vacancies that occur in “Critical Shortage Areas” shall be advertised in accordance with the contract but may be filled prior to the job closing, with an available, certified and qualified applicant. Agreement between the Superintendent and the ABCE President will be necessary for this to occur. 10.2 All openings for supplements listed in Appendix D or other extra-compensated positions will be posted within that school on the ABCE bulletin board and via email to all current staff at that school site where the opening occurs at least five (5) work days prior to filling such vacancy. If no one is chosen from that school, then the vacancy will be advertised county wide for an additional five (5) work days. 10.3 If positions are not properly advertised within the provisions of Article X, the Association may file a grievance at Step 2 of the grievance provision. 10.4 Applicants selected for interviews shall be from the pool of certified and qualified applicants only. Certified: Hold a valid in-field Florida temporary or professional certificate that matches the certification(s) required for the position being advertised. Qualified: Anyone using the High Objective Uniform State Standard of Evaluation (HOUSSE) plan to qualify must meet the criteria outlined in School Board policy and match the certification required for the position being advertised. Alternately, state-certified teachers may also be required to "qualify" for positions by holding additional endorsements such as ESOL, Reading, and Gifted. Exception: Applicants applying for positions that require district-granted CTE certification (non-transferable) need not hold that certification prior to being selected for an interview but must meet the minimum criteria outlined in the district's Process for Granting District CTE Certificates.

  • Committees of Directors (i) The Board may, by resolution passed by a majority of the whole Board, designate one or more committees, each committee to consist of one or more of the Directors of the Company. The Board may designate one or more Directors as alternate members of any committee, who may replace any absent or disqualified member at any meeting of the committee. (ii) In the absence or disqualification of a member of a committee, the member or members thereof present at any meeting and not disqualified from voting, whether or not such members constitute a quorum, may unanimously appoint another member of the Board to act at the meeting in the place of any such absent or disqualified member. (iii) Any such committee, to the extent provided in the resolution of the Board, and subject to, in all cases, Sections 9(j) and 10, shall have and may exercise all the powers and authority of the Board in the management of the business and affairs of the Company. Such committee or committees shall have such name or names as may be determined from time to time by resolution adopted by the Board. Each committee shall keep regular minutes of its meetings and report the same to the Board when required.

  • RELATIONSHIP WITH DIRECTORS Directors, officers and employees of the Advisor or an Affiliate of the Advisor may serve as Directors, officers or employees of the Company, except that no director, officer or employee of the Advisor or its Affiliates who also is a Director shall receive any compensation from the Company for serving as a Director other than reasonable reimbursement for travel and related expenses incurred in attending meetings of the Board.

  • Removal; Vacancies Each Designated Sponsor Fund shall have the exclusive right to (i) remove its respective designees from the Board, and the Parties shall take all Necessary Action to cause the removal of any such designee at the request of the applicable Designated Sponsor Fund; and (ii) designate for election to the Board, directors to fill vacancies created by reason of death, removal or resignation of its designees to the Board, and the Parties shall take all Necessary Action to cause any such vacancies to be filled by replacement directors designated by such Designated Sponsor Fund as promptly as reasonably practicable; provided, that, for the avoidance of doubt and notwithstanding anything to the contrary in this Section 2.01(e), no Designated Sponsor Fund shall have the right to designate a replacement director, and the Parties shall not be required to take any action to cause any vacancy to be filled by any such designee, to the extent that election or appointment of such designee to the Board would result in the Board having as members, at any time, a number of directors designated by such Designated Sponsor Fund in excess of the number of directors that such Designated Sponsor Fund is then entitled to designate for membership on the Board pursuant to Section 2.01(c).
