RECOGNIZED HOLIDAYS AND VACATIONS a) The recognized holidays shall be as follows: New Year's Day Labour Day Family Day Thanksgiving Day Good Friday Remembrance Day Victoria Day Christmas Day Canada Day Boxing Day Saskatchewan Day Include any other holiday if it is legislated and proclaimed in the Province of Saskatchewan during the life of this Agreement.
b) Under no circumstances shall any work be performed on Labour Day except in cases of emergency involving life or property. When a recognized holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, the next following work day shall be taken as an alternate day off. When two (2) recognized holidays fall on a succeeding Saturday and Sunday, the following Monday and Tuesday shall be taken off as alternate days. Employees who are required to work on a recognized holiday shall receive appropriate overtime. Holiday pay shall be as set out in the appendices attached.
c) When working a four (4) day work week, any recognized holiday falling on a Friday shall be observed on the preceding Thursday.
d) Any deviation to the foregoing must be agreed upon by the Union and the Employer.
e) Recognized holidays shall be paid for at the rate of four and one-half percent (4.5%) of the basic hourly rate, exclusive of overtime premiums, earned by the Employee in each calendar year and shall be paid each pay period with the Employee's regular pay.
12:02 The Employees shall be entitled to three (3) weeks annual holidays and the pay shall be at the rate of six percent (6%) of gross earnings for all Employees covered by this Agreement and shall be paid each pay period with the Employee's regular pay.
RECOGNIZED HOLIDAYS AND VACATIONS. (a) All work performed on Saturday after eight (8) hours or on Sundays or on the following recognized holidays or any other new statutory holiday proclaimed by Federal or Provincial Governments shall be paid at double (2x) the employees regular hourly rate of wages:
(b) The Employer agrees to hold Safety talks (tool box talks) on April 28th (Day of Mourning) of each year at 11:00
A. M. where a moment of silence will be observed to remember those who have been injured, or suffered from occupational disease or whom died on the job. The Union will give notification to the Employer prior to the Day of Mourning.
10.02 If any of the above holidays fall on a Saturday or Sunday, such holidays shall be observed on the day or days immediately preceding or following the weekend. If such holiday falls on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, then the Employer may with the consent of the Local Union reschedule the holiday to a Monday or Friday such change shall be implemented company wide. In such cases employees shall be given one (1) weeks notice of the change. Vacation pay shall include an amount in lieu of payment for holidays.
10.03 Accrued vacation and holiday pay shall be recorded on pay stubs and shall be paid to each employee covered by this Agreement weekly, except in Local 183 and 527, where it is to be paid as per their Local Union Schedule.
10.04 The Employer agrees to pay ten percent (10%) of gross wages earned to cover vacation and recognized holiday pay on the following basis: five percent (5%) of gross wages earned, covers recognized holidays listed in Article 10 of this Collective Agreement and five percent (5%) covers vacation pay. Where a Local Union Appendix indicates the Employer shall pay eight percent (8%) of gross wages earned to cover vacation and holiday pay, four percent (4%) of gross wages earned, covers recognized holidays listed in Article 10 of this Collective Agreement and four percent (4%) covers vacation pay.
10.05 Each member shall be entitled to book off two (2) weeks holidays, without pay, per year. The timing of the holiday shall be mutually agreed upon. The Employee must provide no

(1) Jobsites that have flags will lower their flags to half-mast.
(2) Safety talks (tool box talks) will take place at 11:00 a.m. on April 28 of each year where a moment of silence will be observed.

(a) New Years Day Labour Day Good Friday Thanksgiving Day Victoria Day Christmas Day Dominion Day Boxing Day Civic Holiday Heritage Day Whenever Heritage Day shall be declared a holiday by the Government of Ontario under the Employment Standards Act, work done on Heritage Day shall be paid at double time (2x) the current wage rates as defined in ARTICLE 7 -.
(b) If any of the above holidays fall on a Saturday or Sunday, such holidays shall be observed on the day or days immediately following the weekend. Vacation pay shall include an amount in lieu of payment of holidays.
(c) When any of the above-named holidays fall on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, the Employer and Local Union Business Manager may, by mutual agree- ment, reschedule the holiday to a Monday or a Friday.
