Reporting Allowances. 21.08 It is recognized that, as required by their daily schedules, regular employees expect to start work and finish work at given times exclusive of overtime provisions.

Reporting Allowances. 21.01 An employee who reports for work at the starting time of his scheduled shift, without having been previously notified by phone not to report, will be given at least four (4) hours of work at his regular straight time hourly rate of pay, or, if no work is available, he will be paid the equivalent to four (4) hours at his regular straight time hourly rate of pay in lieu of being required to work. The Employer shall not be subject to this obligation in the case of an employee who fails to keep the Employer informed of a telephone number which may be used by the Employer to give notice, and in the case of fire, power failure, or circumstances beyond reasonable control of the Employer.
Reporting Allowances. 24.01 An employee who reports for work and is sent home by the Company because there is no work available shall be paid the equivalent of 4 hours’ work at straight time, provided he or she has not been notified that his or her services will not be required by the Company at least 2 hours before the start of a regular shift.

An employee who reports for work at his or her regular time and who is sent home because no work is available or commences to work but is assigned less than eight (8) hours work, shall receive a minimum of four (4) hours pay at the appropriate hourly rate. This provision shall not apply in circumstances beyond the reasonable control of the Company. (Examples - such as fire, flood, snowstorms, major equipment failure).

A nonexempt employee who reports for scheduled work at the direction of the Contractor and who is prevented from working all or part of such scheduled work by conditions beyond his/her control, may be paid a reporting allowance up to the amount he/she would have received if such scheduled work had been performed.

Where an employee is instructed to report late by the Com- pany, and is required to work beyond scheduled quitting time, one and one-half (1 times regular rate will be paid for hours worked after scheduled quitting time. The principle of clause will apply. employee who reports for work at regular time and is sent home no work is available, shall be paid for three quarters the number of hours regularly assigned on that shift or day. If a work stoppage occurs that is within the control of the Company in the second half of their shift during a week- day, employees will be assigned any available work to complete shift. This provision shall not apply in cases of fire, lightning, power failure, or like causes of work stoppage beyond the Company’s control. An employee who has clocked out and gone home and who is recalled to perform work which is not contiguous to his regular shift shall be paid a minimum of three (3) hours pay at overtime rates and in addition shall be paid for one hour travelling time at overtime rates. This Article applies to both Production and Skilled Trades Work.
Reporting Allowances. A minimum of one-half shift pay at the prevailing guaranteed hourly base rate of the employee's job will be granted an employee reportingfor work who has not been notified prior thereto not to report for work. This is including beyond the control of the company such as acts of God, fire, storm, and power failure. Employees on shift already in progress will be required to stay a maximum of two (2) hours with pay. During this two (2) hour period the Company may decide to give leave to such employees and to pay a minimum of two (2) hours at the appropriate rate. The Company will not be liable if the employee does not have current address phone number on file with the Company at the time an attempt is made to contact the employee during said emergency. If the Company cannot use such employee in regular capacity, it may avail itself of the employee's services for the one-half shift in other capacities provided the employee is physically able to do the work. Ifan employee refuses such assignment, shall not receive the one-half shift pay. The Company shall be report-in pay the result of emergencies beyond the control of the Company such as acts of God, fire, storm, power failure, or labour dispute. Nor will the company be liable if the employee does not have current address telephone number on file with the Personnel Department at the time an attempt is made to contact the employee. _ _ _ ~ - ARTICLE
Reporting Allowances. 20.01 Any employee who reports for work at his regular starting time and is sent home because no work is available, shall receive two (2) hours pay at his regular rate. No payment shall be made if the employee has been notified in advance not to report. To qualify for the above, an employee must remain at work until told by his Supervisor that he may leave and must accept alternate work if it is offered and if refused he shall receive no reporting allowance.
